    Thanks for the great video, I would have overlooked all the faults you mentioned. What did you end up dropping the voltage to on the fan? Would the Sunon fan still live happy without dropping the voltage? I had to choose a different fan from Sunon, as the vapo fan is on national back order for quite some time. I purchased a pair of Sunon fans which appears to be its equal, other than the ball bearing design, and lower wattage rating of 6.12W, part number PF40281B1-000U-A99. Is that fan an adequate supplement for the vapo fan you used? Given the lower wattage would I be ok not modifying the voltage to the LM317?

    • @75L48
      @75L48  Před 2 lety +4

      Something around 7V or so.. I measured heatsink temps before and after and even with 7V those Sunon fans dropped temps a bit compared to the chinese crap fans. They just have so much better flow. But still you can run them full power as they are rated for thousands of hours.

    I also had similar shitty output on my NHK V4 (yellow tint and not sharp cutoff line). For now I just only moved top mirror and pushed the lens with rings, without moving bottom mirror (I havent disassembled whole projector yet) and so far so good, but still got some yellow tint, althougth is MUCH MUCH smaller and visible only when very close to wall (comparing with previous shit I could safely say that now I dont have this tint :P). Tomorrow I will disassembly whole projecotrs and move bottom mirror also. And by the way. Do you think moving lens more than you had will do any better? Or moving mirrors a little bit more/less? Have you testet with other positions of mirror/lens? Cheers :)

    @MrPepto93 Před 2 lety

    Hi, I just modified my NHK projectors and your tips worked perfectly. I could only add that you could try to move forward whole top mirror, not only twist it right. Move right side the same amount as left side. It really seems like a lot of light escapes up becsuse mirror is set too far back (or LED is placed too much forward) and does not cover what it should.

    • @75L48
      @75L48  Před 2 lety +1

      I tried it without bolts, moving it freely. It is how I got best of it. I think it will be somehow unique for each projector with different tolerances of parts. Different batch of mirrors may need different allignment.

    • @MrPepto93
      @MrPepto93 Před 2 lety

      @@75L48 yes, it could be the case. But anyway your tips worked perfectly. One thing is that I distanced the Lens just about half of a milimeter, becsuse I noticed that plastic front cover of my lamp diffuses the light slighltly so I had to take this into account and make my Beam pattern a bit over focused so that lamp would event it out. Could you give you what's app or email? I would be grateful if I could show you what I have achieved and compare it to your projectors. the high beam is the one that uses the bottom led that you discovered and that is why it has different power rating Low/High. Its not only the shield that moves.

    • @75L48
      @75L48  Před 2 lety +1

      Tought so but no. Both LEDs are connected in series and are lit up fully the whole time. High beam action is made by moving shutter away exposing different pattern to the projector.

      Hi, bought at Mouser.com, they ship worldwide. It was this one PF40281V1-000U-A99. What I forgot to mention is, you need to make fan suck hot air from an enclosure. Not blow into it as it was from factory. There is inevitably always some dust and it will be blown directly onto lens. So dont forget to do that also.
      I dont see why not, LED I shown from OSRAM is perfect fit for this. However those only come in 15.5W I think, thats much less than that chinese one. Would need to try it if its sufficient. Cree X-HP70B with 32W max. would be superior but has large chip area, dont know how it would focus down.

Odporúčam to dať cez stabilizátor napätia na 12V lebo cez 13,5V už to začne svetelné kmitať (nepríjemné na zrak ) a zníži sa svietivosť . Je dobré mať denne svietenie a Bi-LED používať v noci a za zlých svetelných podmienok a vydržia veľmi dlho.
