WOW! I feel like Lance is such a model that I should follow. I see the same shine and excitement in his eyes when he talks about pitching just like me. I am also finishing my accounting degree while doing an internship with the Seattle Mariners. I really hope I can become someone like him one day.
Osvaldo Diaz instructions helped Julio as well as Polanco. Mike Salk brought that up on the radio show that Osvaldo Diaz is a personal hitting coach for both Julio and Polanco.

Whoever they do trade for, I think they need to have at least some track record of having success hitting at T-Mobile.
I think Teo’s comments about not being comfortable at the park was very eye opening and explained why his home/away splits were so drastic. The pitcher looked sideways to him and he couldn’t track the ball well. Vs Nelson Cruz who signed here as a FA specifically because he COULD see the ball well. Theres something there.
Garver was like 0-31/34 at T-Mobile on his career - struggled.
Winker, Wong and Frazier were coming from NL teams and had All Star years before coming to Seattle and really didn’t play here - struggled and all three had better splits away then they did at home.

You can’t do an overhaul. Case in point, LAA did an overhaul last year at the deadline. Look where LAA ended up. Spring training is where you can do an overhaul where position players get familiar with each other in their roles and defense.
They don’t need an overhaul. Just a decent hitter to add and have a few of the current players play the average of what they normally produce.
I think you guys should do a show on Seattle Sports (11PM - 2AM, 4AM - 6 AM).

I’m starting to believe you sign Juan Soto to the Ms and he hits .250. Something about TMobile park where the hitter has a hard time picking up the ball. You combo that with some of the worst coaching Major League Baseball has to offer and it’s the death zone for hitters.

Brian McKeon of Locked on Yankees agrees with you on Clay Holmes. Stacey can’t believe that Clay Holmes got a nod to the All-star. She pointed to the stats. She seems to be frustrated with Clay Holmes.
As far as strikeouts vs inducing weak contact. I don't think a pitcher should go for the strikeout unless he actually has 2 strikes on a batter

Doesnt strike out, can play 2B/SS/3B.. has 1.5 years of club control at 7.5mil per year.
Good defense, gets on base. If the Blue Jays go to sell mode but dont want to get rid of Franchise Faces Vlad/Bichette then he might be a good steal.
Why?! His career average season is 670 ops with 5 home runs, 34 rbis & 44 runs. If we had position players they need to be above league average…

The M’s might be a seller and buyer at the deadline if Astros build a considerable lead in the West. The M’s have long since fell behind in the Wild Card race.
France has been hitting well as of late. I don’t think they should give up on him. Down the stretch he is going to be an impact bat. So don’t give up on him now.
France is…not good.
I want to see Robles play more to see what he's got. It seems like he could be that slightly above league average player that could make they lineup better.
We also have to take into consideration that we are in first place only because the Astros bombed until recently and now we have a legit race on our hands. I bet the Astros get better at the deadline as well. So that means we have to get even that much better. It's going to take significant upgrades. The mariners are only in this position still because our pitching was so dominant. Look what has happened the last 8 series. That's not a small sample there, that's a significant amount of games the mariners have been terrible. Absolutely terrible. I'm just so frustrated with this, the same problems year after year then didn't want to give up prospects to get what you need. Well then overpay i the fricken free agents in the off-season then you don't have to give up your prospects. Keep getting these dabs type of guys who don't work out. Cmon

NY Mets won 5 in a row. They are now in the 2nd Wild Card spot. There is only one team that looks to be a seller (Blue Jays).
Here's the hope for 2024...
Julio could be pulling himself together. JP could just start getting on base a little bit more than he has all season. Cal could warm up.
And...
Raley, Rojas, and Bliss keep doing what they've done so far. Servais stops pinch-hitting for Rojas.
Maybe they give Robles more opportunities and maybe he can do more than Haniger or Canzone can do.
Dylan Moore plays sparingly and never hits higher than 7th in the order. Maybe he'll hit a few timely home runs from a spot in the order where his strikeouts don't hurt as much.
And the Mariners acquire a 1B bat, any player worthy of being called a "designated hitter", and any position player who can hit .270+ or get on base .360+
Then they need to get lucky and win it all, because the farm system will likely be decimated.
Can Jerry identify bats that will hit in Seattle? Well, his success rate over the years has been so infrequent, that it can be chalked up to luck. It seems like the trade throw-ins are the only ones who ever work out.
Dylan Moore has been more productive than Julio this season…
I just have a hard time believing the Mariners will give up on Mitch Haniger. They should but I have my doubts.
We need Christian Walker, Brent Rooker, and Sewald. Shouldn't cost us any of our top 5.

I hear you guys about upgrading 2B, but if I’m not mistaken, Rojas has been an even better defender over there, so upgrading 3B could technically be on the table, if you shift Rojas over there.
Rojas has been the best 3rd baseman in the league statistically, so I'm not moving him if i'm Scott. Perry Hill has worked wonders with Rojas at 3rd its pretty damn amazing.
@@Cwill69 if I can affordably upgrade our offense by acquiring a 3rd baseman (because a 2B option is too expensive), I’m shifting Rojas to 2nd.
Offense is the biggest problem, right now.
Hug those defensive statistics as tight as you want little man, that fact still remains.

Also all this based on the fact of what these players do where they are currently at, remember all hitters come here to die and kill their careers. So there is absolutely no counting on these guys performing. These guys your talking make no more sense than polanco did this off-season. No more than mitch garver this off-season. Both of them have better carreer numbers than any body brought up to this point in the video. 45mim mark. I think we need premium bat. Average bats do not do well here
