All you need to do is put pink insulation in the wall and go ahead tacking the tub in! You could put pink insulation and then put hardy board or Sheetrock, or any other material that you like but it is not necessary! I really hope this helps!

What if the entire bathroom and walls have been demoed? Should I install the hardie backer first before installing and leveling the tub?
