Travel digest superman. MR SALMAN RASHEED
Sir, I was going through your vlogs. It very interesting about the vintage buildings. I hope some days your govt restored these heritage buildings for the coming generations. I hope you keep showing this kind of vlogs
Amazing story and the building is so beautiful
Absolutely stunning building. Another country, another set of rulers and this would be restored and put to some use.
Very interesting ... Thanks for sharing
🙏
Beautiful mansion.
Absolutely.
Very informative and interesting story.
Thank you very much.
Thank you Sir
Very intresting i like so much ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you very much.
As usual excellent story

When Britishers made Canal Coloneies, lands were granted to various nobels to establish fruit forms abd Stud forms for Military.
COLONEL Edward Cole was granted land (7500 acres) along Lower Bari Doab canal and Major Vanrenin ( Renala state), Mr. FC Mitchelle ( Mitchell fruit form). Year was around 1914_ 15.

واقعی عمارت علیشان ہے۔
Very interesting story about the house built by Col Cole. As you have correctly stated that unfortunately there is tradition or awareness of saving the places of heritage in Pakistan. This particular house could have been renovated and converted into a rest house for visitors or could have been turned into a place of interest, where people could have paid to either stay a night or just visit. This could have generated revenue and provided a self sustainable way to keep the place renovated.
Colonel Sir Edward Hearle Cole Probyn’s Horse

😅
That's funny. But the story of Mehr Shah is not complete. I hope his family watches this and calls me again. I would like their input and perhaps complete this tale.
Salman Sb, the original owner/allottee/occupant was Nawab Sir Mehr Ali Shah. He belonged to the Pir family of Jalalpur Sharif in Jehlum District (Teh Pind Dadan Khan). His grandson Nawabzada Syed Shams Haider was an MPA from PMLN in 90’s. Shams’s younger brother is Syed Qamar Haider. Both were formanites. Shams used to live in FCC Scheme, at the rear of Ch Zahoor Ilahi’s home.
Thank you very much for the information. But Mehr Shah could not have been the "original" owner since it was Colonel Cole. Also, the question of why the beautiful property was so hurriedly vacated in 2013 has not been answered.
And there is a much detailed video of the same nau lakhi kothi on you tube.
Please visit the existing and dilapidated ancient Hindu/Jain/Bauddh temples in Pakistan and blog about them also. After all they also are relics of your ancestors.
"After all they also are relics of your ancestor" - we don't need your or English telling us anything. Our sacred soil of the Indus River will mean all our ancestors, be they Buddhist, Jain, Hindus, Zoarastrian etc will get their due time.
spot on
Kindly watch the Blogs of Baalwala and Media Top, they have worked on this topics in Pakistan

I have done some work on HIndu, Buddhist and Sikh worship houses. I intend to look at the ruined Jain temple in Rasulnagar some time soon.
शानदार भवन, संभाल कर रखा जाए तो क्या बात होगी l
Another set of rulers who cared for the built and cultural heritage would have restored it and put it to good use.

Sir with your vast experience and knowledge of Punjab. Please make season 4 for Sikh of Punjab. Sikhs 12 misls, sikh 10 guru their life in punjab and Raja Ranjit sikh era of government and its relationship with dehli and bristisher. Lastly the fall of sikh era and why they did not participate in 1857 war.thanks
Needs to find out about the real ownership through patwar khana .... they keep the recod of every land !?
I don't have it in me to sit down with patwaris and forced to drink sweet tea over 4-5 hours. But I agree it can be done.
Amazing story.... but, why can't our government restore national heritage!!
There is simply no interest, Dar sahib. Every government since 1947 has had misplaced priorities. National heritage was never part of those.
@@odysseuslahori Sadly yes.... but hats off to you sir for keep on raising the voice.
My family is from Bahadurnagar, I believe the village was named after my great great grandfather. Please do let me know if anyone is from there.

All are myths. If the Englishwoman was Cole's widow, that would be pre-Partition. Nothing is true in this case.

You need to know the naming scheme of canal colonies by British when the canals were built and various settlements were established.
@@mjiqbal810 Thank you, sir. It seems Mr Hassan has never travelled around Punjab to know or understand the naming scheme.
