Amazing account. Although I am not of the Partition generation Salman sahib is such a raconteur that his telling made that period come vividly alive. I am overcome with nostalgia and a profound sense of loss of our collective heritage and past due to the unfortunate events that happened 75 years ago. Thanks for keeping the memories alive.

I too was born four and a half years after Partition. But I think the pain, the grief can be transferred genetically.

Plz note that Jinnah wanted limited autonomy under single federation. It was Patel who pushed Jinnah for a separate country. Don't blame Jinnah for the partition. History repeated itself again when same happened to Bangladesh as Mujeeb wanted limited autonomy but thanks to stupid military establishment of pakistan, he ended up with a separate country.

Good to hear about your memorable visit to India. You mentioned about Vijay Pratap . Vijay Pratap is a good friend of my father . My father was a member of PIPFPD and attended its conference in Pakistan 2 times and once in Kolkata . I have shared your video with my father . My father spoke to Vijay Pratap and shared this video to him .

My family migrated from Amritsar. My father was about 2 years old at that time. As far as I know there was no relative left behind or killed during their move. I have always wanted to visit Amritsar as the land of my forefathers but it is nigh impossible to get a visa.

Another beautiful episode. Your flowing narration truly makes it all the more enjoyable. Cyril Radcliffe & his mentors will have alot to account for on the day of Judgement with his line of demarcation which led to unspeakable tragedies. Looking forward to the coming episodes.

Episode 1 on the heels of episode 2 had made no difference to the gripping account. Had you not mentioned it would have passed unnoticed by many. The narration is too engrossing. And it brings us back to the core issue: what a folly partition was. Monumental mistake. Lamhon ne khata ki thi, sadiyon ne saza payi
