The only expectation from subcontinent muslims is that they follow the subcontinent culture and not Arab culture which they seem to be more proud about. Pandit Birbal dhar was finance minister of Durrani empire in 1814- 1817. He saw muslims converted hindus and imposed heavy taxes on Them. Then he went to lahore and seek help from Sarkar e Khalsa to take freedom from tyrant invaders and muslims.

The only expectation from subcontinent muslims is that they follow the subcontinent culture and not Arab culture which they seem to be more proud about. That way Bangladeshi muslims do a really good job. They speak their local language, use local script, wear saris etc. Infact even Hindutva came into being only because of this Muslim allegiance to a foreign power namely the Ottomans during the Khilafat movement (which is actually Caliphate movement but purposely euphemized).
