I speak from personal family experience here in the USA. ANY abdominal surgery that requires incisions through abdominal wall is serious. Time to recover is important, as there are possible complications from such a surgery that can debilitate a person even further and delay a return to "normal" even longer. Kate's medical advisors certainly gave her the best possible advice, for herself, her family and the people of the UK.

I had a Caesarian and was able to look after twins within two weeks. She is probably more than able to put a dress and some makeup and take a nice photo so a video. I don’t believe any of this for one minute. Something much more is going on that a simple (privately paid for high end all the trimmings) surgery because it’s common sense which Brits seem to lack a bit to often (eg brexit)

The beautiful Princess of Wales knows and adheres to Royal protocol, therefore the health of the King comes first. The Palace is obviously following this protocol. I believe if the health crises of King Charles and the Princess of Wales hadn’t occurred at the same time (with the official announcements from the Palace on the same day), there would be more news and updates from the Palace regarding her progress. We New Yorkers are livid over the requirement for US to pay for Harry and Megan's security!! We are in a crisis here in Manhattan; homelessness, immigrants with no place to go and some violent. We are spending millions caring for them with no end in sight. The law enforcement has almost given up, retiring early and simply resigning. Visitors are few and far between out of security concerns and here come H&M asking for OUR money, and frustratingly getting it! They are millionaires, let them pay their own security fees!

Having recently undergone abdominal surgery for gallbladder, I can tell you the recovery was wretched, the worst being the absolute utter exhaustion following abdominal surgery and the very low levels of blood in your body. It has taken months for me to recover, and although I'm much older than Princess Catherine, it has been exhausting trying to recover.
Gallbladder surgery is a week recovery ( work in surgery) and does not take 2 months without other physical/medical issues to recover from. Unless you had the surgery many years ago when it was serious and not laparoscopic as is done now.
@@colleencostello6927 Yes apparently, IF a person has gall bladder surgery via a laparoscopic procedure they can leave the hospital the same day and back to their usual routine in 2-3 days according to a surgery specialist. Then elsewhere it states several weeks and up to 6-8 weeks before returning to your usual routine, depending on the severity of the surgery. It is never a one size fits all scenario. As we do not know what type of surgery was involved everyone is comparing stories about many different types of surgeries and the different scenarios.

Most abdominal surgery, especially when incision of the muscle wall is required, can be very painful, exhausting and takes time for the different layers of tissue to heal. It is also the emotional and physical stress on the body post surgery and is very individual for each person. 🌹
@colleencostello6927 exactly. I had my gallbladder removed when it was still a very big cut and it took me à months to recover. I was about the same age S Catherine. In contrast, my friend, who had keyhole surgery was back at work as a hairdresser, a week later. It is no longer a huge operation.
I’m sure hall bladder wasn’t the issue for Catherine. I’m not certain but know that any surgery cutting through abdomen wall is serious and takes time to heal. I had my gallbladder removed. It’s sore and tender but nothing like serious abdominal surgery. Let’s hope for the best for princess Catherine
We need to remember that just because William didn’t share the reason with the general public doesn’t mean that he didn’t share with deceased’s family, etc., and likely has received their understanding. In the end, that’s really all that matters.
