- Catherine, Princess of Wales last week revealed that she has cancer in an emotional video that finally put to rest the vicious rumour-mill online.
Since the heartfelt confession was released the world has rallied around Princess Kate and Prince William as the full extent of the difficult circumstances the royal couple are living under is brought to light.
Princess Kate's cancer video has led to some embarrassing apologies from celebrities in the USA who eagerly poked fun at the Princess's absence from the Royal rota. But is an apology enough? They are all our royal family. They pull together not divided. Other than Diana they don't compete with each other.

NOBODY KNOWS William could have been standing right beside the man filming. Catherine said he'd been right beside her as her main support, so people shouldn't criticize unless they know everything. Just as the media and other people tortured and bullied her for weeks WITHOUT knowing all the details, she and William wanted to wait until their children were out of school so they didn't get questioned.

I’m a “strong, independent” woman and my husband was my rock during my 2.5 year cancer treatment. Neither he nor my family let me walk alone during the journey.

Her message was delivered with what we’ve all come to know as her eloquent, honest, sincere way of expressing herself. My prayers go out to the Princess and her family. I wish for Catherine what she would wish for others: Good health and to surround themselves with love.
Taking all the accolades away the Princess of Wales showed the world in one short video what it is to be a decent human being. She taught us all the virtue of humility.

I never thought she’d be back by Easter things happen we started improving and then we go in the other direction… as long as I can see a photo or two of her with her family when they want to publish it and a line or two telling us of her progress at their leisure. Of course I support that family 1,000,000% Godspeed.
Nothing is more important than your health . Believe me I’m an invalid and can’t remember what a day without pain feels like . The King and Princess Catherine both need time to recuperate . However long that takes , it is what it is . They have dynamic schedules and enormous pressures but , their health comes first .

I know how difficult it must have been for Catherine to share her cancer news. We have 30 different types of cancer on my maternal grandfather's side of the family, with some of my cousins having 3-4 different cancers at the same time.
It takes a great deal of courage to explain to the world that you are ill and would like some privacy to deal with the disease.
I'd like to see all the people who have been so critical, so sensational, and so nasty to her have to walk for a day in a cancer patient's shoes. Would they learn any lessons about humility, integrity, respect and faith? I think not----because they are morally bankrupt on all levels.

I think she did a fabulous job on her own, she didn't need William by her side. Royals often carry out engagements on their own and not always in pairs, even in a situation like this, it wasn't necessary to have her husband sitting next to her.
I was sad to hear that my suspicions were correct. We are the same age, with our children similar ages... it's all very sad, so young to be hit with cancer, but I'm glad she told the public, if only trolls stopped trolling...

Please have Dickie and Victoria on again. I loved this session. I have always enjoyed Dickie's wisdom and insight. I think this is the first time I have heard Victoria but I enjoyed listening to her too. They make a great pair. Great to have people talking without shouting and talking over each other like some shows. Matt, a group of us were discussing the few people who have been totally sympathetic toward the Princess of Wales without demanding she provide information on her diagnosis. Your name came up. The last 2 weeks, I could hardly handle any shows discussing the royals. You and your guests were great. Many hosts or guests surprised me at how hostile they were. Arthur Edwards was kind and understanding as usual. I can't remember if I heard any interviews with Dickie but he is always fair and reasonable and a great storyteller.
I am a 2 time cancer survivor. and I completely understood why Catherine Princess of Wales did the announcement by herself. My daughter said that I became a strong, powerful woman. There are so many things you can not control during cancer and it is important to control what you can. I knew why she chose when to make the announcement. Fortunately, my children were 13 and 15 so old enough to explain the situation. I had a biopsy done right away in the surgeon's office. A week later, I was given the results and my surgeon said he had rearranged his schedule to do surgery first thing on the morning 2 days away. We went home and discussed the situation with the children and then called my mother after arranging that a couple of my brothers would be with her.
I knew that it was in reverse order, It always is as the monarch is the last to enter the church with the Prince of Wales and his spouse being 2nd last. Everything is timed so that people arrive at the correct time. I recall the Commonwealth Service where H&M were upset about not being in the procession so Prince William and Catherine did not process with the then Prince Charles and Camilla. Also the memorial service where H&M arrived late so they could do the walk down the aisle alone and were upset at where they were seated, having to climb over the York girls.

Why do people have to apologize? They said whatever they said and if they now regret it then they have to live with that. Groveling at the feet of Catherine isn’t necessary.

American here… I pray for her complete recovery for herself, her family and friends and especially for the UK. She is the perfect example of a royal. This woman, born 60 years later, is an old school lady in the mold of the greatest generation. That generation that we all acknowledge were superior in 75% of all aspects of life and in which we exemplify 10% of their behaviors… She is a true leader and treasure!
How do we know that Prince William wasn't standing right in front of Catherine, Princess of Wales, along with the BBC camera crew during the filming of her message? At the end of the day, no matter how many beloved family and closest friends you have around you during your cancer journey, it is the patient who personally, solely carries the weight of the disease every single day, especially during the darkness of night when the pain, loneliness, and anxiety can set in at full force.

When you talked about the significance of daffodils in the life of Catherine, Princess of Wales, I felt emotional all over. I have a strong feeling that the setting wasn't entirely coincidental. If that is the case it is further evidence of how thoughtfulness and grace.
I feel sure that Prince William was not too far away. He respected that it was his wife's story to tell.
I don't think she felt forced to make this stayement. The public had been told that she would be back to work after Easter. Clearly this is not going to happen for some. As parents in this situation they would want as much time alone with their children to help them continue to come to come terms with and understand something that has to have turned their young worlds upside down. Now that everyone has had some time to process this, they know what the plans are for Catherine's treatment, and she has had her first course of treatment, they wil also want to relax and have some fun together as a family. I think her timing is perfect. In three weeks a lot of physical and emotional healing can be done.
Catherine was always going to this her way because she has such strength, such a sense of duty and such love for her people. This is who she is! ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉 to Catherine the People's Princess, her wonderful husband, and her beautiful young family.

It is the media that needs therapy, they are still reporting about Catherine. The public only showed genuine concern for Catherine.
If SHE wanted her own husband to sit with her on the bench and she coukd use a " CLAW" grasp for strength and effect then she could have done so. Instead ...she is a brave warrior , elegant , and mature ,taking HER body and illness Truth to task as SHE chose. She learned Alot from her elegant parents and the Late Queen. I applaud her for EVERY second of that speech. Do we know that william was not there on the other end of that filming???? NO ...we don't!!! Ppl need to let this graceful woman ,mother, wife,daughter,sister, friend and role model to her own country ALONE
