- Arthur Edwards, legendary Sun Royal photographer and personal friend of Prince Charles, sat down with Sun Online to give the full story on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's step away from Royal duties.
In an exclusive interview the veteran snapper revealed he'd suspected the pair may make the jump across the pond after seeing Harry turn into 'a really miserable person' on recent Royal tours.
And warned the Prince he's 'living in cloud cuckoo land' if he believes the Royals can avoid scrutiny with a move to Canada.

His subtle honesty towards Harry was very endearing and you can tell it came from his heart. Between both beloved Princes, this division is truly sad, but, unfortunately, it seems.. inevitable. Hope they’ll get pass this sooner than later.

I think you are right. There is probably a great deal of sadness all around, except for Meghan who seems to have life going her way. I think Harry will live with increasing sadness, particularly since he no longer has a purpose in life.

We’ve all seen the photos of Harry with William and Catherine where they look so close, Harry sharing giggles with Catherine, they seem so happy. William mentioning how Harry would raid their fridge. I feel it takes a master manipulator to get Harry to not only turn his back on the family, but to seemingly feel resentment towards them. I don’t feel sorry for Harry, he has chosen to walk away, but my heart just breaks for the William and Catherine and the relationship they’ve lost. I thought they could mend the relationship, but after the Oprah interview I don’t know how they can trust Harry to not use any conversations against them or air them to the world. Thankfully William and Catherine having 2 loving, supportive families who will help them through this😞❤️

Me-again has always wanted to be centre stage. She had a taste of being in the absolute limelight and I think this has gone to her head.
SHE wanted to be Queen and all she got was a supporting role.
Look at Harry's face in recent interviews or photos. Does he look happy? Meghan always has her hand on him in some way. She often has her hand on his back like she is directing him, controlling him. The first time I saw her do this, it struck me as very telling. Since then, I have seen numerous situations where it is obvious to me she is doing exactly that. When a wife or husband alienate you from your family you have always been close to, something is wrong. Don't forget, this interview was aired in Jan 2020. A lot has happened since then. Not much of if it very nice.

This is one of the most impressive interviews, from a reporter, I've heard in a long time. I struggle with how much the media can be daming, saying very harmful things and the criticism can be endless.

The worst thing about this for me is that the Oprah interview was aired when Prince Philip was in hospital. It was incredibly selfish, insensitive and uncaring of Harry and Meghan to let this be shown at a time when the Queen must have been very worried about her husband, at his age and with serious heart problems. I'm disgusted with them because of this. There are two sides to every story and no doubt there is some truth in what they've said, the Royal family certainly aren't perfect, but I think they've shown a complete lack of loyalty and respect for them. I used to really like and admire Harry, but can see how he's been manipulated by Meghan, as sadly happens to many normally intelligent men when they meet and marry narcissistic, selfish women, who couldn't give a damn about their family members, as long as they get what they want.

I appreciate this more fair and appropriate summation of the life of Prince Harry and his possible leave-taking from the family and the Royal life. I remember how much Harry liked Arthur Edwards and ..on one shoot Harry had green paint on his hands and put his handprint on the much admired photographers bald head ! They both laughed at each other in a really good natured way . I feel really sad for Arthur after all the years he and Harry spent together he must feel betrayed .
What a terrific interview. I felt Mr Edwards, who obviously cares about and knows the Royal Family intimately, gave an unbiased and thoughtful account of Harry and Meghan’s lives told from his personal interaction with them. I felt quite tearful when he described what Harry used to be like and “the man he has become” since his marriage to Meghan. Having listened to Mr Edwards I feel I have a better understanding of how the British people, especially the Queen, Prince Charles and William, have been so badly let down by the selfish behaviour of both Harry and Meghan.

We are not royalty and we are not English. Lol the thought makes me laugh. Only thing is that I have three loving sons, but once they found their partners (women) it was clear to me my sons no longer were my sons. They belong to their wives. I was very happy my sons were loved by these women. But as women they knew exactly how to manipulate my sons against me. I had no issues sharing my sons with them, but they didn’t like to share with me. It’s so funny and sad for Harry. He is young she is not. She’s been around the corner he has not. I truly hope she loves and cares. I could have used this power over my husband’s mother, but I loved my husband and his mother for being the great woman she was to my husband. In return, I am married still almost 50 years, to the man my mother in law raised to be a wonderful man and father.
