BMW R80 Scrambler - Part 3: Handlebars, Controls, Cable routing

PROJECT UPDATE!
First of all, I wanted to clean up the messy cables.
In order to decide how my cables should run, I installed the new handlebars, grips, mirrors, headlight and indicators. With the tank and original seat still mounted on the bike I could then easily decide if I liked the position.
The clutch cable had some damage from rubbing against other parts, so I decided to replace it. The Daytona speedometer I'll be mounting is digital, so the mechanical cable will also be replaced by a sensor.
I'm happy with the result, everything is bundled nicely and will give room for my speedometer and ignition switch.

On your previous bike you fitted dual brake hoses direct from the master cylinder. I guess you will do the same? Where did you get the hoses? I am struggling to source a dual black hose set up for my bike. Thanks!

Hi, the previous bike had two discs to begin with, this one only has one. Moving up to dual disc would mean two new discs, bigger piston and one extra calliper. It's something I'd like but the budget does not allow it at the moment :-) On that previous bike the piston had a single hose going under the gas tank, where it got split into two hoses each going to a calliper. I simply split it right at the piston by buying a double banjo bolt and two new hoses of suitable length. www.caferacerwebshop.com/en/double-brake-line-banjo-bolt.html

Не забудь шприцевать рулевой стакан, между двумя траверсами и лапку заднего тормоза. Руль к стати не очень этот. Почему ты не хочешь под ретро стиль - с рачагами обратного выжема сцепления и тормоза? Переднюю крышку будешь обдирать? И крышки головок современные на мой взгляд плохо смотрятся. Отличный мотоцикл.
