Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) is one of the hardest materials in the world. It is just slightly below Diamond on the hardness scale. Aluminum Wheel Body

Little Heat Transfer
There is no bluing of the steel when you sharpen and in most cases you can touch the end of the tool because there is very little heat transfer which is preferred for steel.
