Roughly 6:00 an appeal to futility discussion. Probably one of the most successful thing the animal agriculture industry has put out into society is the appeal to futility. The reality is the change you can make over a lifetime is monumental. Supply and demand. And you're not just one person you are a node in a network and it reaches far and wide and compounds over time.

These discussions are difficult for people because it means that they have to look at animals as a victim and they're "the bad" guy. And to not be the "bad guy" they have to change. It's tough because it challenges your view of morality. The concept is very simple.
Indeed. These discussions make people think that they are the bad people and thus they refuse to accept it. But, it's not about being good or bad, I think. It's about realising that you could be generating significantly less harm
That racism line was an absolute zinger, and in particular because it was so true! It's groupthink at it's most obvious. People would rather stay with the crowd than do what they know is right. The Simpsons did some very funny and clever things showing group think. You could maybe get away with borrowing a clip if it's short enough 😏
