I recently read his first appearance, and I agree with your view on Samson. Some fans thought it was bad writing/decision-making on Bruce's part, but the man had to have been traumatized during the years spent as the Hulk. Banner went from being hunted by just about everyone to completely ignored. Samson should have been focused entirely on Banner once Betty was cleared. We still have an MCU version of Samson waiting to get an origin story.

I think he is a little underused in the Marvel Universe, considering he could help heroes and (imprisoned) villains and won‘t get killed the first time a superpowered patient acts up.
Sadly this won‘t get better because of the static nature of superhero universes

Great work. I was hoping you'd cover his time with Byrne's FF. Maybe next time. Cheers.

That was great! Very well done! I actually have been a fan of Doc Samson but never knew his origins. You nailed it, girl! Love your energy and wit! Subscribed! BTW you are rocking that green hair!

There was an issue of What if where Samson became Captain America and killed a bunch of people.

I love those 70s Hulk comics. One of my faves is 124 when the Rhino and the Leader interrupt his wedding to Betty.

I am a big fan of this story line and Doc Samson, I think they hit all the notes right of how an at first a boring side character can matter over time (which is one of the great thing about the whole form) and how, then, a character who matters as a man of science--medicine--god gifted but otherwise worldly and arrogant--can rise so as to become a classic arch villain--or, in some better minority of cases--an unlikely hero like the man Dr. Stephen Strange was before the accident. But that at that point that character achieves its "legend." So I love that old tale. Thanks for reminding us of it.

I love Doc Sampson, there’s a comic where he just shows up at his old hebrew school to teach a bunch of kids about the chanukkah story it’s great

Man when i wad a kid i always liked doc samson just because by the time i read him he seemed like a level headed guy with hulk strength and he was intelligent all the things I hoped for in the hulk when i was a kid.... i cant remember if i ever read him with the type of voice you gave him in my mind... i mean that was hillarious!!!

Have you ever noticed that Hulk only splits his pants at the seams on the legs. I mean, shirt rips apart, he grows bigger, but his pants never bust anywhere but the legs.
Maybe he isn't so Incredible after all?

The Psychiatrist to the Hulk angle would be great for a Hulk Disney+ show set in Endgame's 5-year time gap, and it could be a psychological thriller show that explains how Bruce and Hulk...worked out their differences.

Doc Sampson seems to be the guy Marvel wants to forget about but won't. He's been bounced around since his introduction, but can't fit in anywhere but the Hulk's pages (despite being X-factor's shrink for a time) and ends up being more than half villain there, being a dupe of the Intelligencia before full dark turn.

Following a possibly silly whim here but what if they made a B and C list Avengers team made up of the main heroes obscure friends like Doc Samson, Demolition Man, Rick Jones/A-Bomb, U.S Agent, Sifh or og Valkyrie? Maybe throw in Blonde black suit Spiderwoman from 80's Iron Man?

I love the good Doctor. After his recent resurrection, he was shown listening to Leonard Cohen's Songs Of Love And Hate. One of my favorite albums. Also, many years ago, Peter David made Doc Samson's character Jewish. I thought that made him more interesting. Imagine Samson having Larry David as a patient.
