Tired of looking for good movies to watch on Netflix, Amazon Prime or other streaming services? Every week I recommend a handful of the best movies on Netflix, Amazon, HBO etc. so my subscribers never run out of good movies to watch on streaming. Spending 10 minutes watching one of my videos could save you hours of searching, hours that you could otherwise spend watching good movies on streaming that you otherwise might not have ever watched or even known about.

Really liked Dead Man Down glad to see you promoting it. And Redemption made me appreciate Jason Statham far more than I already did. Many of these I did NOT know including Below Zero, Sweetheart, several others. But Hunt for the Wilderpeople, I think anyone who loves movies should see that one.
Just one more thing: you said a lot of good things about Small Town Crime. But for me it's hard to say enough. The cast sparkles. Octavia Spencer, Anthony Anderson, Cliff Collins Jr, Robert Forster, Dale Dickey, NO small part just thrown in all of them given real effort.

      Seen these on your list..
Wandering Earth is superb.. CGI, acting, plot, its a very kool sci fi flick.. its not based on science,, just good science fiction.. need to watch it again..
Redemption... another superb Statham movie.. has some solid story n action.. thoroughly enjoyed it...
Legend... does it well.. another where actor is on his game, showing serious chops in a top notch crime flick.
St Vincent is one of my all time fave Bill Murray flicks... its just insanely good.......... didnt realize its 8 yrs old..
Gattaca.. a superbly twisting almost "who dunnit" "catch me if you can" sci fi flick.. great casting, great acting..

Darren, great list. I literally just saw The Nightingale last night. It was brilliant. One of the best films I have ever seen in a long time - but boy, it's hard to watch. You have to do it in segments. Still, I'm glad it made your list and it's based on real events.

Netflix has so many movies yet I probably end up watching 1 out of every 30, seems all themes have been covered & hard to find something that will keep you watching till the end.
Then, by accident, I started to watch a Spanish series ( only BC I found that you could watch it dubbed)
    1) Money Heist - Absolutely brilliant. It has it all, for me it has been one of the best series I have watched on NF in the past 4 yrs.
    Cannot recommend this enough
    2) Sky Rojo. Also a Spanish gritty, what you would not expect, it hooks you in from the start, very clever script, plot & characters.
The way in which both series have been dubbed is amazing too, the voices actually suit each character, which is rare, hard to pick that they are actually dubbed.
I cannot recommend these 2 series enough!
Hope you at least check these out & place them on your list 🤞
The Nightingale & The Hunt for the Wilderpeople, are worth watching.
    Thank you for the recommendations!

The Homesman... Swank and Tommy Lee Jones.. wow... just.... wow.. gritty, disturbing.. twisting.. western..
for the old timers... "Run Silent Run Deep"......
yes.. its.. 60 yrs old ?? maybe 70 ?? dont recall.
but, i swear.. it still holds up, with the pure drama, action, more drama, nail biting... its just good old fashioned WWII era B&W movie with two A List actors at the top of their game.
ok.. this is a genuine "popcorn" flick... "Driven"... with Stallone... pretty sure his only role where he is the star.. but, yet.. not the lead ?? and a racing flick... enjoyed it.. its not a nail biting drama, but, the racing and cars and atmosphere are really fun..

Great list as usual. I too like some bizarro movies and in that vein I’d like to recommend “The Big Nothing” with David Schwimmer, and Simon Pegg. Fargoesque.

Gattaca will always be one of my most favorite films. Equilibrium as well. Both fantastic.

TOM HARDY IN BRONSON! My favorite Tom. Hardy film. I’ve seen 15 out of 18 on this list, I feel bc of your previous recommendations. I’m going for Avengement, Sorry to Bother You and Beirut. St Vincent is Excellent!! Thanks as always for your recommendations Darren! I’ve been a subscriber for years. A couple of years before your new studio. 👍👍

At the risk of usurping Darren's role here, I am going to suggest a movie that is on Showtime right now, but only for some of you. It is called "American Insurrection", and is about a group of people hiding from a militia that has taken over a not-too-distant and resultantly dystopian America (think Handmaid's Tale). While it is a low-pro indie film, there is a lot of heart here, and the story is harrowing and fairly riveting throughout. At times it's a little heavy handed thematically, but the last act was above and beyond what I expected, and that is why I'm suggesting this film. It was so affecting I'm still thinking about it these several days later...just my two cents. Thanks Darren for what you do; I love your videos.

Recommend: Toc Toc, a Spanish comedy. You'll see yourself in it. And Big Bug, a French sci-fi comedy where the bots takeover. Both excellent stories and art direction

Another dark film starring Nicole Kidman is Lars von Trier's "Dogville." Strange flick, very artsy. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.
Another offbeat Kidman film is "Stoker." Great directing and acting, very visual.
I have a feeling I'm going to love "Sacred Deer."

Once again you come through! Great list. After Goodfellas and Boondock Saints, Legend is my pick for a rewatch. But EVERYONE should watch Hunt for the Wilderpeople! Thanks for that recommendation long ago. John Hawkes is so incredibly underrated. Oh the things you teach me!

I first noticed John Hawkes in The Perfect Storm. His acting was authentic while everyone else, Clooney, Wahlberg and especially the lesser characters, were melodramatic past the point of corniness.

You made a mistake by putting up the title Dead Man Down instead of Sweethouse. I mean this in the most respectful manner. I am grateful for your work
