Bushcraft camping expedition: 'Clif Bar' - 10 day trip into Femundsmarka National Park, Norway

- Me and a bushcraft buddy visited the Femunden region and Femundsmarka National Park for a 10 day trip. We only brought a handful of flour and a clif bar per day/person, so we were eager to catch some trout!
The fish were playing hard to get though, as we only caugt one trout, a pike and two other fish. Luckily, we found plenty of blueberries to keep us going!
We made some fish head stew and baked a great blueberry stuffed bread, as you can see in the video. It was an awesome experience! - Jak na to + styl

ziet er een toffe plek uit, hoe ben je naar daar gegaan?
Leuk filmpje, vraagje? waar was jullie opstart plek. Ik ga ook naar de femund maar weet nog niet wat een mooie start plek is, en of ik een kano wil huren. De bus lijn richting de femund hebben we wel gevonden op internet
Hoi Mark, onze opstart plek was synnervika, waar we een trail in de heuvels erachter hebben opgepikt en zo naar lortholbua (hut) gehiked zijn, vandaar zijn verder getrokken het park om en in. Hopelijk heb je er wat aan!

mark Achternaam Wij hebben het vliegtuig gepakt en aldaar een auto gehuurd. Die kan je bij ons startpunt makkelijk 2 weken kwijt. Volgens mij gaat er ook een bus van Roros naar ons startpunt. In Roros hebben we ook goeie kaarten kunnen vinden. groetjes!

Hello. Is it possible to get to Femundsmarka by public transport or does one need a vehicle? Perhaps you could tell me the location name at which you made your camp. It looked awesome there :)

Love all you videos and you have also just inspired me to make my first fishing/camping trip to Norway this summer.
Please could you tell me where abouts you camped and did you have to pay a fee or was it permitted wild camping?

Heya Simon, thats great to hear :) I went to femundsmarka National Park which is highly recommended. Such a beautiful place. You don't have to pay a fee for national parks and wild camping is permitted nearly everywhere in Norway away from houses. We did get a fishing permit for Femundsmarka, but you can do that online with the Norway forestry service. Where are you planning to go? cheerio

I would like to go to femundsmarka and do some hammock camping, bushcraft and fishing in July. One other question-are there any bears in the park?
There are instances where brown bears roam into the national park, but I wasn't lucky enough to see any. There are wolverines though.
I really don't want to end up being a happy meal for a bear..
