Zac’s quest for a sub 9-second 1/4 mile OBS Tahoe continues! Mockup of the engine is DONE, and now it's time to upgrade the oiling system and accessory drive to something much more capable and racecar-looking. That’s where Jim from Indy Power Products comes in with his billet front cover assembly oil system upgrade! We need something that can keep up with the big power and RPMs this Texas Speed built Godzilla motor is going to see. Plus our boys from Ice Blast Works stop by to treat the chassis to a dry ice bath and get out allllll that grime.

I love how on the C10 and the Blazer Zac didn't do crazy paint jobs or anything, left them with that classic used truck look. So much love for this build, can't wait to hear it chop.

The 88/98 trucks had some beefy parts for the front end. Have seen several 1/2 ton trucks built with the 3/4 ton(2500) front end parts. There was a version of the 90-94 trucks that were still 6 lug, but with bigger rotors(3/4 ton size) bigger ball joints, beefy control arms, bigger CV axles, but all bolt right on to the 1/2 ton truck.
But FYI
S10/ jimmy/bravada AWD setups have been known to take a ridiculous amount of abuse and that stuff is waaayyyy smaller than anything stock on a Tahoe.
Toss in the K Series kryptonite Center link/Tie rods. 4x4 launches all day with lifetime coverage, hard to beat that.
So the truck guy got another truck and he gonna put a truck engine in it. Im shaking with excitement 😂

I’m a die hard ford guy but damn did they make what could have been a simple large cubic inch truck motor and complicate the shit out of it. And those Indy products are beautiful but they’re not cheap.

Good vid but there seems to be a lot of videos for ice blasting around at the mo.
Doesn't hurt paint as it takes the paint off the metal.
if you just ls swapped it, all youd need a 10296 oil pump and you'd be set. but of course ford has to complicate everything, needing a $2000 kit to change oil pumps and pans.
