Taking my 305 out and putting it back in was fun, we left the 700r4 in the car and we had a winch mounted in the rafters. Lifted the engine straight up and rolled the car backwards lol

Cooling vein direction is what you go by. Bear has their slots going in the opposite direction of the veins. These rotors are on the correct side.

Well, before it was primarily overall approved by Ken Block, and had videos of him alongside. But since he passed, they've been left to run with their own ideas and lack the professionalism Ken brought to the channel. So it's understandable everyone is getting frustrated with them.

Considering I couldn't watch the 1st two episodes past a minute without feeling sick, there's not enough time to keep this build successful if enough people also get sick and stop watching it.
@@tinystar3010how does a mild camera shake make you sick. That's the same amount of visual shake as walking.
It would be a hassel to try and build a plexy back glass but I bet that back hatch weighs a ton, of course this helped in the weight distribution but could be a good weight loss area to focus on.
There's no need to make one. They're available off the shelf from a few companies.

Hoonigan is a relatively small company. There usually isn’t a lot of room for advancement and raises in small companies. So folks usually don’t stick around for long, they need to go where the money is. Hoonigan has always had a rotating cast and crew for that reason. Not a knock on the company or employees, just how it goes.

Correction: Water is not conductive. It is the salts in the water that are conductive. At all times it is not the water conducting electricity. Water, LIKE AIR; is an insulator. (in terms of electrical conductivity)

Solid axle is NOT a disadvantage for drifting. The only disadvantage it has is that irs is more adjustable. Some of the most famous/popular drift cars are solid axle. Ae86 much?
Gotta remember this is an offroad guy who knows nothing about cars. And it's the leftovers of Hoonigan. The key mechanics and builders are gone too, Dan and Suppy.
@@tinystar3010 I know lol. Been pretty disappointed lately as I’m sure a lot of us have, but people like Scotto and Gary should know that lol. I actually just met Dan at drift Appalachia, was pretty cool after watching him on here for so long😂
not sure about drifting but solid axle is a big disadvantage for grip racing
@@naufalkusumah2192 solid axle is superior for putting the power to the ground which is why drag racing used them so heavily, for drifting they work great. The only reason you don’t see them too much in professional drifting any more is sponsors want new builds and the only new cars with them are trucks lol. But look 5-10 years ago… Vaughan and rtr were dominating in mustangs, and they were all solid axle. Then in Japan, 86’s were pretty much the go to drift car aside from 240’s(180’s/Silvia’s), and to this day are still considered one of the best drift cars to drive. Hell there’s still one being ran in either fd japan or d1, it’s a blue and white levin with a jz if I recall. Also having done a bit of grip driving myself, the only real reason a solid axle is a disadvantage is the lack of adjustability in comparison to irs. Well, that and packaging lol. Plenty of solid axle cars handle really well lol it’s all in the setup
@@naufalkusumah2192 if it was such a disadvantage these 3rd gens wouldn't have out handled everything in their class like they did when they were new and wouldn't have had the road racing success that they earned. They're still commonly used competitively as road race and autocross cars because they handle so well.
As for how solid axles are for drifting, current FD champion Chelsea DeNofa has a good video on his YT channel talking about the live axle set up in his personal Fox Body Mustang comp car that I recommend watching.

Hey now you have to find replacement genders you should have just remove some bolts and the front clip would have come loose then you could have kept the look but with a tubular from end.
How is this gonna be sub 3k with the front clip not on, nothing forward of the front of the engine ie radiator accessories and water pump. Oh yeah a cage still needs to mysteriously not add weight to this build. No chassis plates to stiffen her up. No column or master culinders booster etc yep. Sub 3k glad its not a drag car.

I know it's trivial but...if the Camaro ISN'T an IROC, then it's not a Z-28. It would be an RS model which came with the 305 rather than the 350.
Every trim level had at least one 305 option.
I genuinely hate watching every single third gen build get botched just because y'all know NOTHING ABOUT THEM. They make premade EVERYTHING for these just gotta look. Even a full IRS swap is out there. Y'all drive me entirely ballistic.
