Nice job! I converted my factory 1985 110 4bd1 with the LT95 to an Isuzu MSA5G gearbox which was just awful haha! then I found a mob in Windsor Sydney that do conversion kits for 4bd1 to R380 using a modified LT85 flywheel housing. A lot have said that the R380 will not stand up well to the torque pulses of the 4bd1 and it will wreck the gearbox very quick but so far all is well. I bought a strengthened R380 from Ashcroft just to be sure! If you ever need any bits for your 4bd1 landy look up KLR Automotive in Windsor, Sydney. They are all over it.

On my setup I am using the 4bd1t from a cab forward truck.
It has a huge flywheel and clutch, and I use the original truck bell housing and clutch lever etc
WAY bigger than the Rover V8 style clutch - I seem to recall it was a shade over 12 inch diameter and the flywheel was massive
This dampens down the pulses and the R380 is as smooth as silk - 7 years on and no issues at all!

Hi Mike I love the videos. I’m currently putting a Cummins 6bt in a 110 sw that used to be a td5. Keep up the good work. Matt

Thanks heaps Mike, That looks pretty well thought out and reasonably straight forward. I would have a question or two about the input shaft/clutch plate set up when you are not so busy.

drop me a line - it is pretty much straight forwards BUT remember I used the GM clutch - if you were to use the Perentie motor, it will bolt to the R380 box using the LT95 bell housing - but I am not sure of the lengths - the V8 box had a longer shaft
There was a company in Oz making bell housings, but I cannot recall who they were

Hi Mike , on the Isuzu bell housing what lubricates the bearing in it now it is not part of the main box running in oil ?
Did you swop it out for a pre- sealed one ?
    Regards Karl
