I’ve come to the conclusion, everything needs to be fitted with a tuned OM606. They really are addictive.
No doubt in my mind that DPUK are producing the best OM conversions, engines, pumps, turbos, specialised parts and advice. I can say this with hand on heart as its my defender above. I love it!

Cummins 5.9 weighs double OM606.
This definitely sounds nice , both Cummins 6BT on the internet and OM606 sound nice , each has its merit.
apart the fact Cummins is a chunk and therefore way less cars are suitable for it.
@@hagestad Except The defender isn't a car. Its a utilatarian truck.
@@khosrowjalali7898makes sense until you realise that the 606 will make all the power you’ll ever need in a Defender with half the displacement. And I am a Cummins fan but they are overkill in a lot of applications

Hi. I have OM602.912, it is 2.5l 5 cylinder with 69kW (94HP) from w124. Do you think if i will change elements in pump from 5.5mm to 6.0mm - Can i increase power with them ?

Hello I have a defender 110 300 tdi, I want to install a motor om 606. I wish to move back the engine by installing a clutch bell of lt 77 in order to leave the mechanical ventilator of origin. Do you think this is possible, thank you for your response?

Hi guys seriously considering this conversion what parts will i need currently running a 200tdi on an lt77 gearbox I'm guessing by the sounds of it its not to hard of a job running it with the mechanical pump would be able to re use slightly modify existing loom ? New engine mounts and the conversion plate for the gear box anything else im missing or is it as simple as what i have read so far
Or how much would it be for u guys to suply and fit as looking through this is what u do lol

@@TTURBOVOLVO I can't speak for the later 6 speed MT82 gearbox, but with an LT77 or R380 box, most Landy owners are happy to achieve a successful shift... fast shifting is something you do in a car! :-)
Can a om603 be mated to a Disco auto trans?
An OM605/6 is possible so OM603 can be done too. It's the same bellhouse so far I know...

Indeed - black smoke isn't clever because it is just excess incompletely burnt fuel and gives those who would like to see 4x4s and "gas guzzlers" banned more ammunition.

All I can think of at around the 0:25 mark, is _not_ the noise...but rather that's a really badly fitting passenger door.

I love the 606 sound but.... the cummins sounds better
stonenpebble they both have their merits (I have both) the deep tone of the Cummins is awsome no doubt but I like a lightweight option in the lightweight Landy platform.
