Let me know when you're in California I'll buy you coffee
Would you come to alaska? Before I submit my car
@DEBOSS GARAGE ....Hey Rich , Ask Andy Moore for your plates... (Bad @ Postal) .. My kinda Car... Many Blessings , SMR
This is the most fun CZcams video I've seen in MONTHS. WAAAAYYYY better than cat or dog videos. It makes me want to convert my utterly unreliable Chevy 350 powered Silverado to a 4BT.
Whats your opinion on the 4hk1?
Another example of why this is the best channel on CZcams, thanks Rich I always enjoy the videos
One of the most reliable engines ever built and he put it in a Plymouth. As soon as he lifted the bonnet, I was reminded of a Hitachi EX120. coolest build ever!
4BD1T were fitted to the 6x6 Australian Army Land Rovers.
The most reliable part of the 110 was the Isuzu engine.
We are currently selling them all off through Greys Online auctions.
I've been wanting a Parente forever. I'd probably have to stick a turbo Vortec 6.0L in it though.
@@hendo337 Can you provide a link to the online store?
Can you provide a link to the online store?
Rich, you gotta collab with this dude. Seems you guys think alike.
Nick Brown yip, there needs to be a joint build there!!!!
@@SuperEoin09 He lives about 2 1/2 hours away......
Lol zero lash. The last person that opened up the engine "Every single one of these bolts is loose!! There that's better! Wow, factory can't even put an engine together. Hey Tom. Tom! Every single one of these bolts was loose under the valve cover! Can you believe that?!"
Honestly that is a genius idea. Great mileage with a beautiful car!
Edit: As an American from the Maryland I am not used to hearing “Up from South Dakota.”
And has enough power to get you were you want to go.
Think about us Floridians and Texans who never hear up
As being from maryland as well i can completely agree
Love how happy Rich is in this video. Two dudes connecting over their passion. Incredible.
Finally, an Isuzu diesel swap.
Also, it's been more than 4 hours, I need to consult my doctor...
Heh... erections
Hahahaha
Great concept and intelligent execution
- love the "gotta be practical" approach to the roof rack
- and the 70's look
- but with economical operation (440's burn in large volumes, so a small turbo diesel solves that)
Isuzu Diesels are so underappreciated. They really hopped on the Direct Injection wagon early. And they seem to be misunderstood, most problems (incl. Duramax V8s) seem to arise from injector issues that go unnoticed/ignored. But even then the Isuzu inlines are easily rebuilt and back on the road afaik
As much as I appreciate a cleaned up polished classic. I love this. Its unique, it has personality. Its flat out awesome.
@@aliceshaw8265 he probably doesn't run it in the winter
What a absolutely badass Plymouth 😎🙌🏻💪
Better than tv. Feels just like hang'n out!
Love it, just love it! And supercool dude also.
Yeah. Cool car but the guy who built it makes it properly fun. Really enjoyed this one
Not a fast car necessarily, but a true hot rod nonetheless. That's what the pastime was all about in the beginning. You take an old car, use what you have laying around, and build something cool out of it. There was no off the shelf anything in the early days. People did their builds just like this guy. You take existing parts and you make them work. My favorite part I think is the Integra Type R brakes lol.
That’s the coolest bastardized mopar I have ever seen
Rich, you're a class act brother don't ever change. This guys car is very cool and the owner is knowledgeable, humorous, modest and a down right nice guy...a perfect fit for you channel. An inspiration to build or fix something is what this video is. Thanks.
Such an awesome ride! That 4BD1 is the cherry on top, proof that built not bought is best!
Loved listening to you guys!
Love listening to someone actually honest about the quirks and crap wrong with their cars haha, awesome!
Saw the build on the 401 getting off on the 427 on Good Friday. Pretty sure he was on his way to your shop Rich. The same rainy weather...
That was the day!
Isuzu's are great, in my country they put it in everthing and spare parts are very easy to get
This guy needs a CZcams channel
Oddballstony
HELLYEAH! love it! so glad you are featuring cars we'd probably not come across. what an awesome daily
Passed the seat belt check, two dudes talking '70s cars holding a Tim's coffee...can't get any better! Cool video
Super cool dude, nice classic car and a non aggressive build for road trips. Absolutely amazing!
That's the bomb gotta see more of theses.
This is fucking hilarious. Love it.
That's awesome. Very cool guy to boot. Nice share!
At first I thought he was Jesse James ... same speech pattern and similat voice hiding behind a beard
I LOVE that your test drive includes a trip to Hortons.
Now that is a Road Kill Car!!!! love it!!!!!
Stoney great guy and a great car want more of these build's.
This is Awesome! I have a 1970 Ford LTD it's getting the Cummins 6CT! Slight build around 450HP 1500Ft #s! THNX!!!
That things awesome, recently discovered this channel, I love it
Hell Yeah!!! We love our diesel down south.. Great Build.
Amazing! This guy knows how to live!
hell yeah I love these kind of builds
Hell yeah ! You put more engineering in that car than Chrysler/Plymouth ever did. Nice job. Always entertaining watching your channel Rich , keep it up.
So cool. Thanks for sharing your car with us.
Canadian Cavemen in Cars Getting Coffee... is there anything they can't do?!?
Get their hands clean.
@@dafirnz If you're not filthy, you're not Rich...
Not Coffee, Timmies.
If you got a old diesel you are not going to have clean hands fuck I quite washing mine ther is more grease from my old diesel and I’m dying for a Timmies right now one down the street but it’s -11 out rite now so screw that
NA 4BD1s are were extensively used in Australian delivered Land Rovers of the 1980s. In particular, the Perentie models used by the army.
4BD1Ts were used on some of the 6x6 Perentie ambulance, troop and equipment hauling variants.
What a badass ride! The engine fits so well.
I saw this at Motorama during Thursday night set-up. It was all closed up then, sure wish i had of taken a second look durning the weekend, this this is badass!
Awesome guy, awesome build! Great video! I just got back to Pennsylvania from picking up a used car in Florida and driving straight back to go to work :-) best thing to have when road tripping a noisy diesel is noise cancelling headphones :-)
On the "cool factor" I give it a nine point eight rating, that moose bumper is just too much to take in but as a wow factor... ten out of ten. That shows that he dreams on a higher level than most. I have seen this conversion and done one myself... hence shoe horning frames together and it was great, and handled great plus springs, sway bar, etc was done at factory making my job so easy that it didn't show the level of work that goes into a build like this... it doesn't "just" happen. Great video
Stoney has hit a couple of deer ...so it is warranted lol
Great episode. Fun and entertaining. Super nice dude!
Awesome video Rich, keep em coming
Love this channel Rich! I believe you need to use the original tachometer gauge to get it to work as the control is inside the instrument cluster. Use to work on hundreds of Isuzu's.
Your the boss Stony. See you this summer.
Great video. That guy is entertaining! and SMART
Looks like some good coffee fellas 👌
Awesome story
7K isn't bad but this guy is a genius with thinking outside the box and finding solutions that most people would never think of, not to mention the engineering talent/intelligence he has. One of my favorite chill and talk episodes in a long time for sure. I got a decent shape ~71 El Camino for a job a while back that was just a roller so I threw in a Detroit Diesel from one of our service trucks that got rear ended. Not a speed demon but without all the bulk/weight of a truck it runs and drives fine with no issues and cost me next to nothing so I can't complain.
Where are you from? Would love to take that thing for a rip!
you put a detroit in a elcamino? good lord xD
That’s an awesome ride ... thanks for sharing
Dieselpump UK put an Om606 (Mercedes 3L straight 6 turbodiesel) in a Dodge Charger. That’s a really cool well done swap
Rich, this is absolutely great!
Amazing little ride! Love it
Love this ride !
Awesome Ride. Love the old Iron.
That dude is awesome!
Nice work Stoney !
This blows my mind ! Very cool and strange.
Cool as hell, so is the man who built it, just like Rich.
What an enjoyable fellow Mr. Beard was
Props for calling it a [VIN tag] and not a [VIN number] like everyone else on the internet.
Those are the same people who say "ATM machine."
What's wrong with vehicle identification number number? Hahaha
PIN number is a good one too.
My god you ppl are OCD. Who cares?
we laugh at ocd freaks like you.
That is my All time favorite muscle car!! Being that I’m a diesel nut, that’s freaking awesome!!!!
With love from South Dakota 😎
Love ❤️ his work
I've always wondered about a 3.9 BT engine in a Chry.Co pass car. Seeing this video answered my questions. Great job, & great video!
6bt 12v would be a nice fit imo
That's a cool car... Great video 👍
YES! Glad to finally see an ISUZU!
You meet the most interesting skilled people....awesome video.
This was cool! Never thought that kind of conversion, but seems to work. However nothing can't really beat the sound of V8.. 😂👍
Very entertaining video. That guys cool.
Much love from the South Dakota viewers
This guy is awesome!!! He needs his own channel or atleast a recurring role on FB...
Absolutely awesome . . .
That is awesome 👏 👍 goodjob
Love the Mad Max look great car and great video 😎👍
thats friggen awesome!
Now that is one bad ass car!! I'd rock that as a daily for sure!! 👌👌👌
I love that thing!
Hi from Buffalo! Love your vids!
I love that center console!
Awsome... next I’m expecting a 7.3 skidloader!! Lol
Not too fond of the 7.3PS. Lots of problems from new.
Saw the car, cool, start watching the video. He did what?! Why? OK, that's really cool. Love it.
For what it’s worth, I hope Tim Hortons sponsors you Rich! Every time I see you guys drinking TH coffee I want to get some myself! I just rolled through the drive thru 🇨🇦🇺🇸
love it only thing i can't get behind is the modern LED spotlights. i get it they're what's cheap and what works but it will always look weird on old cars for me
Expected to hate the sacrilege of a diesel in a muscle car, and this turned out to be one of my very favorites. Genius level fabrication.
Best mileage for a satellite ever!
Love old diesel engines.
That's friggin' awesome.
That’s such an awesome build
Great video Deboss garage
My biggest reason I love this car is because I love cars and trucks that has an engine swapped into it that isn't supposed to be there, the only engine swap I'm not too crazy about is LS swaps but I'm not saying they're bad engines it's just that they're so common that it's not as crazy to see as a Detroit engine in a Dodge/Ram truck or a Hino engine in a Ford truck or a Toyota UZ engine in a Ford mustang but that's just my opinion
I know I might get hate from LS lovers because LS engines are treated as this amazing thing but I just don't care, I've seen an LS engine everywhere from a Mazda to a restomod Bel Air so it just doesn't amaze me that much anymore
I totally understand, I too like the odd rare swaps.
That car is the best! I’m a diesel guy & I drive a 95 7.3 & w a 3.55 I could get 18-25mpg. I haven’t driven it much cuz we just swapped the 3.55 in place of the 4.10.
Awesome car, awesome dude!
I learned how to drive stick on these kind of motors great workhorses
Love that car👍👍👍
This is well beyond cool💯👍🏻
I was kinda of butthurt at first, but this is a awesome swap... I would drive it everyday
Great Vid!
Awesome! 💪👍
