Does the pot have drainage holes on the bottom? If not you’ll have to be incredibly careful about how you water it because no holes means the water won’t run out the bottom of the pot, it’ll remain saturating the soil. Especially for a cactus you’ll likely have issues with rot from overwatering. An easy solution would be to keep the plant in its own plastic pot inside the cover pot so you can remove it, water it, then put it back once its drained out the bottom.

Hey btw, your going to want to take the flower off that cactus for it's health! It's glued on and while it's small, it will fall of anyways and also can effect growing... Also it's probably best to design the pot to have small drainage holes, just so the cactus won't get overwatered
