@StuffMadeHere I have an idea for your .27 cal pencil sharpener. First you need to vent some of the gas off. Second don't try to force too blunt objects together and expect a sharpened result, in other words try you can't just compress the wood on the pencil. Try the sharp angle on the sharping end again but this time try to not only cut the wood instead of compress it, but also give the cut off bits somewhere to go. I wish i could leave a diagram in comments, but generally if i were to try to build this i would vent the gas off at the same place the cut off bits go. Hope you try this in the future, this video was very fun watch. Keep doing what you do!

It ends up coming off as sarcasm, since the joke implies that the only way a woman would be a better engineer than a man is in a fantasy world of a joke where everything is the opposite of reality. The sharpeners themselves genuinely could be considered contemporary art! You should try to get them into a gallery! You could argue they raise a lot of questions about the absurdity of mass production and automization.

I don't think you even need to argue those things, I think they stand as art by simply labeling them as pencil sharpeners. And maybe have a nearby video playing showing each of them in action.

Absurdity? If anything it points out the human touch in even the most mechanized things.

This is a great idea. Don't say anything about what it means, let people talk about it like right here under this comment. Artistic explanations are lame anyways.

I love that the moment you get a machine that could increase your productivity, say, 6 times, you just make 6 things for one video xD Incredible, I love all of these

I'm not sure which one made me laugh harder: accidentally removing the graphite from the pencil with explosives, or "Christmas in Australia" 😂

This needs to be a yearly engineering challenge. With judges and all that.

I could see it being a good challenge for engineering students. Not inherently that complex but as complex as they choose to make it. I still can’t believe the road one worked. My favorite unnecessary challenge has still gotta be the one to create the least convenient UI input methods. I think its just on reddit tho
