I just picked up one of these Bergara's yesterday. Also picked up a 6x24-50 Hawke Scope and a weaver rail to mount it on this morning and went out the range this afternoon. Zero'd it in less than 5 shots at 50 yards. I only had one brand of ammo with me, BBM 40gr (German stuff) - one of my fav's. Right out of the box I was getting the same results as high end ammo in this video. Shot several jagged holes at 50 and all my groupings were sub-moa. I was very impressed. I thought the trigger would be too hard based on the preliminary pulls I made yesterday trying to adjust it, but it wasn't that bad today. Any flyers I had were either my fault, or dud ammo (major drops in elevation). I then took it out to 100 yds. The groupings were much more spread out, but I hope to tighten up those groups as it breaks in. So far so good.

Corey, I’ve had a lot more time to spend with the Ruger Competition 10/22 and it still performs pretty well, not sure it will shoot with the bolt action so I’ll be looking for the Bergara B14r, I am surprised that it doesn’t come with a rail. I’ve been staying with 3 brands of ammo, CCI Standard, Federal Auto Match and Geco Semi Auto and Match, very happy with them all. By the way, I finally got settled in with the move to TN and spent some time shooting the Bergara 308, with my loads easily MOA or under. Great videos, thank you very much.

@@coreyd1474 I do need to give it a cleaning to see if that helps. I did take third in the open class at our local NRL22 meet this weekend using CCI standard velocity rounds. I've only had it a week now so I haven't done much other than sight it in with a borrowed optic to get ready for the match. Once my scope arrives, I need to take some time to get things dialed in. I wish I had some grouping data for you. All I can say is it was good enough to slap a scope on and place third with people using Vudoo 22's and stuff.

The barrel replacement is easy to do, there is no head-space adjustment. Take off the barrel nut remove the old barrel and but in the BSF barrel. My RPR with the BSF carbon fiber barrel averaged 0’259 “.for five five shot groups at 50 yards using Lapua Midas plus ammo. It will shoot as well as your Bergara.

What is your cleaning routine between BRANDS of ammo ?? I picked up my B14r yesterday, and I like it so far. The bolt was pretty dry and the trigger is too heavy for me, (I'm used to 1.5 oz to 8oz), but I can drop a Jewell in any time or a Calvin Elite. I was thinking I might send my barreled action to "The Lapua Test Center, and have them find out what lot number of which ammo my gun likes the best. For $50 bucks, you can't go wrong.

Here is comment, what I am looking for the shooter going through each step, follow through. Meaning, keeping the head the cheek maintaining contact with the stock. Talking group size paper targets are obtaining . How the person shoots passing on proper shooting techniques is more important than showing a paper targets the results. The dreaded flyer
Cheap 22lr ammo is NOT match ammo because the % of flyers is simply to great the reason legitimate match ammo costs 3-5× as much is quality control of the ammo
All lesser expensive match grade ammo is is match ammo that failed to meet that company's quality control standards to be thier top grade most expensive match grade ammo and is then down graded and sold as less costly lower quality match ammo.
You will NEVER shoot as well with budget 22lr ammo as well as you will the lagit match ammo that starts at $9-$10 a 50 and only goes up in cost (painfully) from there
