    Messi was injured aggressively and the other player didn’t get yellow card. Instead, Messi was punished by waiting 2 minutes. Something is wrong

  • @itsmej87
    @itsmej87 Před 17 dny +38

    It encourages injuring players to get them out of the game and gain advantage by being up 11 to 10 players and the best player on the field being out

    If a player waste time, the Ref can just extend the extra time....this rule is not needed

    • @ericmutinda4609
      @ericmutinda4609 Před 17 dny +1

      They know that and still they waste time.its not about the time,i think it's all about the momentum

    • @MrUnodeaca
      @MrUnodeaca Před 15 dny +1

      the problem, as many with referees, is the inconsistent criteria they use. Different referees would give your different amounts of extra time in a similar game.
      Anyways, we've seen in the Champions that a linesman can even go against the recomendation of holding the flag, I mean, as a referee you should start by following the rules, then we can see if the game needs changes

  • @BairesCARP33
    @BairesCARP33 Před 17 dny +11

    To stop time wasting: either stop the clock or keep out for 2 minutes the fouler and the victim, that way both teams will continue to play with 10 players each.

    • @MrUnodeaca
      @MrUnodeaca Před 15 dny +1

      I agree, so far I fail to see the disadvantage of stoping the clock. The effective playing time is approximately 60 to 70 minutes due to interruptions. So maybe 2 30min halfs? Edit: so a posibility of abuse would be a winning team cooling down the game with interruptions making the whole thing even longer than the actual system.

  • @user-rb1ed8og7f
    @user-rb1ed8og7f Před 17 dny +8

    Of course he is right a rule that supposed to fight time wasting, wastes time when he could have been on the pitch, imagine you lose a defender by this rule and then you eat two goles in two minutes

  • @Zeke_O3773
    @Zeke_O3773 Před 17 dny +15

    Here’s an idea for how to stop wasting time; stop the clock when the referee blows the whistle and start it back up when they blow it again.
    We are clinging to a ridiculous rule that stems back to when refs had stopwatches in their pockets.
    Surely if we have instant replay now, we can keep accurate time, end time wasting, and put an end to stoppage time to boot!
    Can you imagine the excitement in a tournament final as they count up to 90:00?

    • @OG-10
      @OG-10 Před 17 dny +1

      This is a good idea but if you just stop the game for 2-3 mins then it disrupts the flow of the game

    • @Zeke_O3773
      @Zeke_O3773 Před 17 dny +3

      @@OG-10 that’s true but if a player is injured, you’re still interrupting the flow. All I’m saying is that, for however long the game is stopped, so should the clock be.

    How do you deal with this situation:
    The opponent keeps fouling the key person and every tiem out is 2m
    --> 5 times might up to 20m contribution of a key person??
    Also means the one get kicked NOT only get hurt but be punished for 2m off?

  • @chriswhetton3584
    @chriswhetton3584 Před 16 dny

    I can understand the frustration, especially given a foul was called. The rule/law can definitely be improved upon, but overall I would rather have this occasional be an issue than the constant fake injuries and clock milking every team does. It is something that hurts the integrity of the game and keeps fans away.

    Why is no one talking snot this Miami’s overly leaky defense? They should at least invest in some quality defenders. Those defenders just look so clueless when attacking. They just fold and collapse. It’s looks really annoying for a real football fan to watch. That defense puts unnecessary pressure on the attack to go score so many goals because they just can’t defend to save their lives. Such a shame they are just too lazy.

  • @wildarrowhunter6941
    @wildarrowhunter6941 Před 17 dny +2

    Friends USA and the world do not agree regarding football criteria. Italy boasted of having one of the best defenses in the world, if Italy scored a goal, they would close the goal door and throw away the key. Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay are masters at entertaining and putting the game to sleep when they are ahead. I say all this because it clashes with the type of North American sports consumer who needs a lot of notes or they get bored. The rule, in addition to punishing the victim with 2 minutes while the aggressor plays, what he seeks is to give it an automatic dynamic that clashes with the spontainity of the game. Pretending to be smarter than the rest of the world does not make the majority more attractive, it makes them different and not in the best way. Greetings from Buenos Aires

    • @piscesman54
      @piscesman54 Před 17 dny

      It brings no good. And there's no way to tune it. It depends entirely on the referee's criterion, which in many cases is disastrous. All you have to do is stop the clock. Americans need to stop reinventing the wheel.

    Want to stop the time-wasting? Simple. Stop the clock, like it's done in rugby and other sports. This rule is ridiculous. It will only encourage dirty play. As a side note, if a referee can't determine the seriousness of a foul play, he has no business on the pitch.
