The physical distance of Destiny from the other speakers is such a good metaphor. I like all the subtle touches the writers have been adding in this season.

We got Steve on stage right, alone; we got Emma and Voosh chilling on stage left.

Destiny killed this shit, tho. I think Vowsh is more gifted at the TV persona shit, but the gnome is the mf people SHOULD pay attention to in terms of making the left wing more effective. Homie performed really well, and all these “durr Destiny is just a contrarian” comments from other fanbases just shows how out of touch people are
The distance shows the vitriol between them and D.... clearly.
I just remember Destiny trashing both these people...

@@flrnGMEmma definitely shot down that conversation but I don’t see a reason to call her racist.
@@flrnGMyou're braindead😂😭a take doesn't have to be bigoted. Racist, or transphobic just cause YOU don't agree with it. people not engaging also refers to you not being able to liaten to an opinion because it's "bigoted", the definition of the word "bigot", means a belief someone holds without reasoning, which would imply you think people who disagree with you have no reason to disagree, they're just being evil for no reason, which is not true, 100% of the time someone is "transphobic" it's because they are religious, other wise there's no reason to be against trans sexuality, but someone's religion is in fact a reason. Emma downplaying the importance of online political commentators is absurd and self-contradictory. This is the only path that a lot of people have into caring about politics & political action, which makes it actually interesting, entertaining, and more personal.
I'm just here to talk shit and get a paycheck, i thought it was the same for everyone.
I think it’s more of a self-report on her own experience as a political commentator.
Didn't Emma start at TYT? Lol, shows how highly she thinks of them.
I think for Emma this is a job and others they love and breathe this when the camera goes off. She sees herself as a host and commentator. She definitely has more power to influence her audience to get involved directly with these canvassing efforts
I think it comes from a lack of self-esteem from Emma. Her family probably asks her "why don't you get a real job?" and then that leads her to believe that she isn't impacting anybody. But online American political discourse has become mainstream ever since lockdowns forced a majority of Americans to become terminally online.
LMFAO 16:40
Destiny: long empathic discussion about how neither side of the aisle should write people off and attack them for disagreeing. And have those conversations again. Also like like left will call someone a transphobe for disagreeing

Touch grass arc is already getting exciting. So much better than the long dragged Redpill arc.
Right? So much potential for actual good - even if it just convinces a small portion of their combined audiences to find doable ways to work towards the politics and policies that can make a difference in the lives of everyday people. I think it’s a lesson that is hard to ‘unlearn’. Once someone tries getting involved locally (by canvassing, by speaking to city council or writing their representatives) it is amazing to see that you as an individual can have some impact (and how much a larger organized group can impact things).
Touch grass would never have happened if it wasn't for RED PILL breaking the barriers.

"The left doesn't have reactionary impulses that they can instill in their base" might be the dumbest take I've ever heard at a political panel. Was she joking?
something equivalent to 'Kids are being groomed to cut off their dicks' or 'mexicans are coming in rape caravans'? i cant think of one either
Technically, she's correct: the impulses the left instills in their base are not reactionary, but revolutionary
The left isn’t necessarily reactionary
I cant believe that on a panel about bridging the divides Emma couldn't make any compromises about being civil in the least. Her ego and self righteousness just keeps getting in the way of actual progress.
She likely didn't expect to be challenged at all in a panel about building bridges and unity.
@@uku5840well when she's be the antithesis of unity she probably should be a little humble. Notice vaush and destiny both extended olive branches to that effect admitting they've been part of the problem. She did not and even doubled down instead of even agreeing to disagree.
@TheFatAssCat first off, showing up to an event like this is a very good step in the right direction. Secondly, she didn't respond with much hostility beyond expressing her disagreement and standing her ground. @@uku5840 all three of these people are fairly combative online. 2 of them admitted so on this panel. Guess which one didn't?
@TheFatAssCat Don't need to. Your issue right now is that you made too big a claim. And no matter how you try, you can't make that claim correct. Trying to argue Emma is worse in comparison to good examples won't make her the antithesis. Your claim will still be incorrect. hasan's audio quality is fire but idk what to call it, but when hes quiet its SUPER quiet. like quiet enough that when he stops talking i think my twitch froze or some shit if im not visually watching it. he'll go mute for like 20 seconds straight in the middle of a rant out of nowhere and ill be like "ummm HELLO?????? TWITCH??????"
Hasan was on the panel between destiny and vaush
Calling someone a bad name and then moving on without engaging with their arguments honestly is "principled and clear eyed?"
This women is truly delusional.
It's common to not be able to defend your ideas on the specifics when you expect everyone to agree with you at face value. Emma was totally unprepared to articulate what transphobic things Jesse had actually said in part because she was unexpecting to be called up on it
I appreciate them going back in time to get this video quality
Really appreciate how on-point the audio is.
why does vaush sound like a southern farmer in this
56:37 you just know destiny had to hold back a career ender right there
I watched this on Keffals channel before it came out here, and I was genuinely astonished at how many people in the live chat were openly vitriolic to Destiny as soon as he said anything and also thought Emma had a good showing on the panel.
Throughout this entire saga though, I was pleasantly surprised at how charismatic Vaush could be at times. A little sad to realize how high his potential could be, if he wasn't so scared of saying the wrong thing.
Vaush and Destiny are hiding their power levels
People watch keffles in 2023?
It goes beyond fear of his audience...
He can be disingenuous completely on his own at times as well.
Vaush has the charisma to do big things but chooses not to because he doesn't want to go outside.
@@snuzzlebumble As someone with a massive fear of failure, I guess I relate somewhat with our Irish boy
Thank you emma and vaush for the government provided audio quality.
Destiny did really well. Nobody refuted his points. Vaush mostly agreed with him. It was one of the best political panels this year.
iirc doesnt vaush normally agree with destiny's takes in person, just always snaked destiny when he went back home? Its been awhile from when i used to watch destiny/vaush content
@@SauceyCosyeah you’re just lying about that.
Vaush and destiny have always and always will agree on many things. It’s a common dgg problem where vaush will agree with a take that destiny also happens to agree with and it’s never “oh vaush has made a good point” or “vaush reached a good conclusion”, it’s somehow “vaush just copies destiny and pretends to never watch him” or “vaush is just pretending to agree with this point for optics” and even now it’s idiots straight up switching from “vaush won’t go to this coz he’s too scared of destiny and afraid to make any real mark in politics” to “oh well vaush only did this for clout” even though vaush has always been passionate about politics.
More often than not it was actually destiny who snaked vaush. Destinys constant harassment of vaush whilst vaush didn’t even acknowledge him was not only psychotic but pathetic
I just don’t know why we have to lie about vaush unnecessarily and flip flop and pretending he hasn’t made good points and has good takes
Emma is the embodiment of bad faith.
I am trying to think of a charitable interpretation to her but I get the impression that she doesn't come into conversations ready to learn only ready to teach you why she's right.
At best she sincerely doesn't self reflect and at worst has a superiority complex and no curiosity or genuine desire for Truth.
I think theres a difference between bad faith and what you're talking about here. Don't get me wrong, what you're talking about is also bad, this kind of talking never listening, pre-judging type behavior, but I wouldn't necessarily go as far as calling it bad faith, though it does have elements of that too.
I do think someone like Emma IS reachable, its just difficult to do - for there reasons you outline, she isn't really listening. Idk, my opinion of both Emma and Sam has nosedived in the last 12 months so I'm not quite sure why I'm semi-defending them...I just dont think its a lost cause in the way it is with someone fully bad faith
why are you using double and sometimes triple spaces??
because I have toddlers jumping on my lap while I type.
I can edit the comment if its that distracting.@@goopi
I'd say the defending of a position while not meaningfully engaging with the arguments presented to be bad faith. But I could perhaps work on a more thought out/ nuanced characterization of what I am seeing of her. I'll give it some thought. @@jascu4251
@@goopi i like to think it's an encoded message
How hard would it really be to record at the mixer/ interface instead of the speakers? Am I missing something, or do these events have 0 foresight? was there a HQ official version?
I really enjoyed this even with the max gain mic at times.
Vaush and Destiny had a pretty good conversation, but i have no clue why Emma was invited
Vaush and Emma: give surface level answer.
Destiny: college dissertation in 1 minute about why you're wrong.
really good quality video here. Really watchable and understandable :)
Love that they kept with the Leftist audio meme.
At 16:09 Emma saying the left allows open discussion, followed by destiny disagreeing and mentioning the shooting down of any debate as transphobic, then Emma proceeding to do exactly what destiny said she would do by calling Jesse Sengal transphobic instead of engaging in the ideas was gold.
Never gonna forget how Emma pretended not to know who Steven is. She’s a 🤡
how did they get the same mic used to record the skeleton blacksmith in dark souls 1
Mocking people does not make you look better than them. It makes you look the same or worse.
Hitler was a doodoo head
I find it funny that most of the panel's criticisms perfectly apply to those 2 and that most of the points they brought up were some of the reasons why the political and social situation in the US is so bad(that's based on Destiny's recent past opinions)
I love how whenever Destiny sets a trap and Vagueland walks into it every single time.
Also 19:30 Emma your right you are not a journalist. What you are is a side kick for Minority Report - a pinhead political comedy show
True
“What you focus on is more important.”
This is the nature of propoganda. We are going to report and cover what we want to and we are never going to report on the things we don’t like.
I think the idea there is more to focus on all the facts of the most important issues. I don’t you no it means to just focus on the subset of facts that benefit your side
destiny and vaush talking and all the comments are about how bad emma is. the gap is closing. we will soon get destinaush
I especially enjoyed Emma's message of "We don't really matter that much lol".
Vaush + Destiny = True Love ❤️
puts the mike inside of him, audio is blown out, streaming for 1000 years...
as someone who really likes the irl debates and discussions the audio is always so fukn clapped. it must be so hard to do well and honestly makes me understand a bit of what Destiny is talking about when he praises myrons professionalism.
This comment section is 1/3 people joking about Vaush and Destiny making out, 1/3 hating of Emma, and 1/3 the audio. It's fascinating.
Equally fascinating is the difference in perception of Emma between this channel and Vaush's.
Just because the other person didn't show up, they didn't need to leave their chair empty. Destiny looks so weird sitting alone😂
Emma- “We’ll Singhal is transphobic”
Destiny- “Ok, so looking at Singhal, how would we say that’s like a ‘transphobic person”?
Emma- “Uhhh, uhhh, uhhh, well I don’t know…”
It’s impressive that you were able to find this footage from 2003
I thought my airpods were breaking with the audio quality but I'm glad to know it wasn't me
Incredible how they managed to find the worst mics to use
Emma writing off the clear influence that political influencers have triggered the f*ck out of Destiny at the end there. Wish this panel went for another hour, was just getting good. A big problem the D man has with the left is they don’t represent themselves with the influence they have, whether it be to redirect any sort of responsibility or just to feign humility like Emma claims to have.
“I aspire to have your level of confidence Destiny” haha gotta give her credit, not sure if it was on purpose but to write off everything he said in good faith, when he could have been way harsher was probably the top trigger she coulda pulled.
So happy no one agreed with Emma on the "we don't matter" point. She wants to sound humble and feel important at the same time.
I think they took it too literally. In reality she’s right most average voters don’t know who anybody here is. And she kinda defended that their voices matter I think she just was being hyperbolic
This video was shot on flip phone from 2002.
