We love Dark Souls 3 (PC, PS4, Xbox One), but no game is perfect. Here we list our (admittedly few) complaints! What do you say? Let's talk in the comments! ★Subscribe for more: / gameranxtv
Who else hate the pvp when you try to summon your friend and camera. Lastly this is the "last" Darksoul game so WHY DIDNT THEY FUCKING TRY ON IT!!! Especially THE GRAPHICS!!!!!! Ugh
I do think s Dark souls 1 is the easiest one and all of the 2 other games are hard Even I made it to journey 4 on dark souls 2 And journey 1 on dark souls 3
@@phoenix5467 dude ds3 is sooo damn easy each ngup is just like insult for old ds fans tho and those fking bonfire all over tho im sure Miyazaki just special create sooo easy game cos of all of those crying noobs most pvp.and ds2 start interesting after ng3 up
Well it takes the health bar but when it returns the health stay the same and doesn't go back to full and you have to use estus to recover it . Hope that cleared things up
I could explain how something could be permanent for a temporary amount of time. It hardly takes brain power to understand, but common sense isnt so common, so I see how your brain is in pain trying to grasp this
I think there were more bonfires in ds 3 bcz it lacks shortcuts of dark souls 1 .......like a lift which connects firelink shrine n undead church ............. or crossroads which connect valley of drakes ... blightown n new londo ruins ...........
“The game needs an online active zone highlight on the map” It has one. When travelling through bonfires the bonfire names that have the symbol that looks like three dolls next to it is online active
+lukethecoolfool I just like that we send the npcs there, just make easier to handle them, I hated having to go trough the same 2 places 3 times just to upgrade my weapons
"There are a lot of bonfires in the game" I'm scanning the area to find out where is the problem, instead you should've said "there are a lot of poorly placed bonfirs" that is better and more true than the first bull shit, these bonfires were made so that you can travel and explore the place rather than being a check point
+Deathspirit232 agreed.."respect the rules, no estus, bow be nice" dude..this is the fucking internet..it should be..deal with it or get out..wimp, and im not one of those assholes..but god sometimes it makes me lmao when i see it in person.. it looks like this video was made during a loong as ragequit..
KAITO My list 10.Dogs 9.Dogs 8. Dogs 7.DOGS 6.DOGS 5.FREAKING DOGS 4. STUPID ASS TELEPORTING DOGS 3.ARCHERS 2.Vordt of the Boreal Valley 1.Stupid ass muthafuckin Vordt of the cocksucking boreal valley. Aka Giant armored dog fuck Aka the only boss in the game that repeatedly kicked my ass!
I can agree with the first 6. WHO THE HELL THOUGHT TELEPORTING DOGS WAS A GOOD IDEA!? Vordt was just a case of dodging under and smacking that booty. You want a real bitch of a dog boss, fucking Champion's Gravetender and that FUCKING SIF, WANNABE! Either that or Gael. the fucking man-dog.
1000 Subscribers without a Video?!?!? You are damn right. Beat graveeater in 1st try.. But fuck me, capra demon is hard. Not to mention the tight arena..
Honestly love the new return to firelink for everything thing because it feels so refreshing to go back to homebase after an intense exploring session in hell....it just feels really relaxing to just upgrade your weps and hear fire waifu greet you with her soft voice while hearing firelink music....
Git Gud There's a good reason for the break too, high levels of adrenaline and/or dopamine cause boredom. Giving a break to lower the level of adrenaline/dopamine makes it fun again when you get back to playing.
it makes me save my souls more than any souls game making it even harder imo. going back to firelink would be annoying if you are bad and only lvl up one lvl at a time lmao
Frankly, he said that we don't want a hub but all the games have a hub just ds1 had enemy spawns closer to it some merchants went there after being befriended and shit like that and I just started ds2 and I love going back to my safe home
For anyone looking for potential "solutions" to these "problems" 10: Loading screen is a problem with your console 9: The multitude of bonfires in the beginning is a choice by the designers as a sort of learning curve. DS3 was the introduction to the Souls series for a lot of players not used to the series difficulty, so they had more bonfires in the beginning and less as the game progressed. It's smart designing. 8: Play offline. The only "invasions" then are npcs, so it's pve and basically just a higher level enemy in the base game 7: git gud and stop using the lock-on during boss fights, the boss won't stop doing those moves (and actually might do them more when you're locked on) so players need to master controlling the camera independently in the long run 6: play DS2 if you want that 5: "permanently" drain hp for a "temporary" amount of time...... also, just be patient with them. Aside from that one room towards the end of the jail, they're reasonably spread out to where you can quickly dispatch with one, then retreat to let your hp return before dealing with the next. 4: get a dagger with the weapon art that lets you hop and just run through, you can outrun almost everything in souls games. get to the bonfire first, then work your way back. 3: play offline. Also, I'm fairly sure it does have an indicator beside the bonfire name when you can choose to warp to it 2: I agree, but this isn't a DS3 exclusive problem, this is just people being shitty 1: Again....not really a DS3 problem, more so a online gaming issue at large and the corporate's handling of the situation
As a huge dark souls fan with dark souls 3 as my favorite game in the series...Yes, indeed there is an indicator...This video feels really rushed and most of these "problems" are pretty lame really...
I agree with the bonfires. And it is related to map design. Ds 1 map is smaller than ds3 but has a lot of shortcut connecting to main hub. Ds3 is huge and straightforward.
"permanently temporarily drain your hp" I guess you "accidentally said that on purpose" Ill make sure to "remind you to forget about what you just said"
Lol, I love that he complains about there being "too many bonfires" and that makes the game "too easy", then goes on to complain multiple times about hard enemies. Contradictory, much? XD
y2kplus9 Well Not necessarily. I know it may sound a little wonky but I'll explain it. The complaint that there are too many bonfires is valid, at least from my perspective. I have just finished the Farron keep myself (or at least that Bonfire Tab) and I can testify that there is a ridiculous amount of bonfires. So that complaint is valid. As for the complaint of tough enemies, that's sorta different. For instance, we hate (or will hate, I haven't reached them yet.) enemies that will lower your maximum HP for a fight, because that's bullshit. The game is all about "Hard but Fair", that's what we like about it. When they take out the "Fair" Part it gets noticeably less fun. As for the complaint that we hate the Farron Swamp or whatever, I think that wasn't quite serious. What I mean is that while we may hate Farron Keep/Blightown/ Valley of Defilement, we wouldn't want them taken out of the game, because that would go against out "git Gud" motto.
Kyle D I get what you're saying, and that's fair. Only thing I disagree with is the talk about the enemies that lower your max HP. I'm not a Dark Souls player myself (I just don't like the game) but from what I understand, this lower in max HP is temporary, and from watching others play the DS games with these enemies, they're not unbeatable. And because they are hard, but beatable, this still falls in line with the "hard but fair". It's still fair because the enemies aren't unbeatable. If that were the case, then they would be unfair, yes? Everything else I totally get and agree with. I just thought it was funny to complain about something making the game easy, then turn around and complain about hard enemies, is all. XD
Take a bow and some arrows.... every area has an easy way to beat it... and with a bow and arrows/ crossbow and bolts you can clear the entire area with ease without getting a health drain.
There is good hard and bad hard. Shitty hitboxes, poor level design and camera issues aren't good hard. Good hard challenges you. Good hard is the Orphan of Kos, Pontiff Sulyvahn, Ornstein and Smaugh and Ludwig. Bad hard makes you feel like this is bullshit. Getting lost in Farron keep, fighting the camera in the first phase of nameless king, seeing your attacks land but not having them register are all bad, and should not be excused away with Git gud.
To all new players that stumble across this, you can go to setting on the home screen and switch to offline if you don't want to deal with being invaded
+kodikun I think he said 'permanently' meaning that while the effect is on you can't heal back to the max hp you had before. A better description of the effect would be 'Lower your maximum HP for a temporary amount of time'...Do you agree?
+Warl89 no i think he wanted to say instantly. but he is a fucking hypetrain riding piece of shit and doesnt know what he is talking about thats why he said perma.
+Brunik when they drain your hp you have to heal it back up, so unless you heal, your health will be at the point of where they drained it when your max hp goes back up, might have been what he meant.
"Completely permanently drain your maximum up for a temporary amount of time" Why the hell am I watching this shit. Also, most of the things you listed can be fixed by a good dose of git gud
+Frederick Abel I give the second worst position to dks 1, two is personally my favorite, because it's actually do something in that game, in any case I don't like miyazakis game design. He ruined armored ore for me and he ruined dark souls 3 for me.
Complains about too many bonfires, saying they want tougher... Then complains about monsters that require slight technique or to focus on enemy tactics.
@@lilramennoodle8056 For me, DS3 is the hardest overall, having levels like Irithyll Dungeon and Farron Keep, and bosses like Nameless King and Pontiff Sulyvahn
Dark souls games are designed around bonfire placement, so when they’re so enclosed together it’s also due to a flaw in level design. I mean sure you can cherry pick examples where removing a bonfire would be the only method of action needed (like the grand archives bonfire or the undead settlement bonfire) but that doesn’t excuse examples such as the old kings antechamber, anor londo, profaned capital, great belfry, old wolf of farron, the bonfire after lothric castle before the dragons, tower on the wall. These are examples of bonfire that have put in place because you are either about to be put in a very challenging situation where the difficulty spikes or have just been put in such a situation. Because of this burst fire level design where challenge just dog piles on you out of nowhere they added bonfires to bandaid the problem and that is the vastly inferior level design to dark souls 1 or hell even dark souls 2. Dark Souls 3 had more time spent on making amazing bosses (which shows as its home to the best bosses in the series) than making amazing level design.
Just a normal average guy I don’t think you read my comment correctly, I was explaining how the levels are designed around the bonfires and gave examples of such where bonfires were put after dogpiles of enemies which in my opinion is due to poor design. The game should be built to have these challenges more spread out within an area and have longer stretches without a bonfire so you have to conserve estus and manage health to make it through (kinda like ds1) rather than the sudden room full of 10 jailers to waste your estus before the profaned capital bonfire. Ignoring certain bonfires doesn’t fix the level design which is why I consider the argument put forward flawed. Not to mention ignoring bonfires like the grand archives and undead settlement ones doesn’t increase the difficulty, it isn’t hard to push the left analogue stick forward for 10 more seconds if you die so I actually can’t consider a circumstance where this argument would function as a form of improving the experience.
Nicholas Christian I don't think you're actually intended to play either section. It was much is easier for me to strip down naked (irl as well) and run past everything.
As a man who played DS3 first and is now playing through Dark Souls Remastered I wholeheartedly disagree with #10. While I’m enjoying the game I miss the days when I didn’t need to run across half the goddamn map just because I need to farm in one area and then go to Andre to get my shit improved. There is nothing I miss more than having everybody I meet gather in one place, at least temporarily. Being able to warp alleviated the issue slightly but not completely. So yeah, I very much prefer the DS3 firelink system. I understand that wanting a bit of convenience can make me a casual but, honestly, I give zero shits. In my view a game can be challenging and have proper quality of life settings.
+eftultima yeah getting attacked by a dagger with phantom reach that adds 1000 souls to your inventory and getting you banned can totally be avoided when you are gud
I don't want to be that guy who just says," HURR HURR, GIT GOOD SKRUBB!" But most of these things (minus all the PC specific issues) aren't really things that I found as SUPER annoying or game breaking. Granted, the swamp was a bit irritating with more than half the area you are limited to rolling, but the grues aren't as bad as Jake played them out to be. If you're having troubles with any of the grues; use a shield and/or watch their movements closely. As far as the head-raping grid goes; when he jumps in the air, run towards him and roll.
Exactly, I agree with some of the things he says, but complaining about invasions, some enemies being "annoying", a map being easy to get lost in and people not following made up rules in pvp is just plain stupid.
Well, its more of a "Dont pick up dropped items from strangers in PvP/invasions/Summonings". The feature is still appreciated to trade with trusted friends.
Eh... I only needed help for 2 bosses, and each time I only pulled in an NPC. That said, I died many, MANY times on a good few of the other bosses, like the Old Demon King, and the Nameless King. Optional bosses suck.
and what do you do when you wanna play with friends in ng+ or whatever? yea right makes no sense. the invasion system is bad and pvp in ds should just be getting an overhaul tbh. and dont try and piss me off with that git gud shit
So when I play coop people can invade my game? Sounds pretty bad indeed,, I for one don't like pvp that much cause it's always honerless cowards running gangbanging tryhards in any game.. Id hate if I'm fighting a boss and I'm almost dead that some other person comes to finish me off.. Ill certainly play offline until my Noob friend wich I doubt will even continue playing.. A well I bought this to play alone so yeah good advice thanks
My only issue with invaders are the people in badass kit that hang around high lotheric and invade noobs. Yeah yeah, git gud, says the dude wearing full Havel kit fighting the guy in starter pyromancer gear. Give new players a bit of space.
Bit late here, but I find it even worse that he's talking about the camera flipping out when locking on to a boss, and he is locking on to the greatwood of all things! Locking on to some bosses makes the fight nearly impossible, so don't do it and you'll be fine!
I know and he stupid for running away from it the way he did when it was crawling after him. You think you're gonna outrun that giant ass thing? No just circle around it and your good he very easy especially with a strong fire weapon
This vid, “top 10 things to complain about in dark souls cause you’re bad” bro you hate firelink shrine and bonfires?! WHAT? Camera problems in a souls game, oh noo so saad, god this top 10 is nothin but casuals just bitching that a souls game is hard-
Im not a casual but i hate Invasions. Like i hate it with my soul. Like i just defeated a Lord of Cinder who destroyed gods than i get invaded by a random person who already deafeated all bosses exept Soul of Cinder with the best weapon and Armor in the game. There goes my Ember. There goes one half of the reward i got for killing the boss
I spend alot of time helping new players in DS3 and we got invaded one time (Farron Keep in ng) and the invader healed 27 times (thanks to a duplicating glitch) and took 40% of my friend's health in a single swing of his hand axe but to that amount of damage to him she had to hit him 9 times with her +4 long sword and she had to close the game while I defended her because they had endless healing. That's not fun, fair, balanced, or challenging. It's broken and completely one sided.
1. long loading screens are pretty much dependent on ur computer i usually dont get loading screens longer than 5 seconds, but meh 2. ''easy spawn points'' bro, you cant be serious, have you ever taken a look at the forums, everyone is complening about there being to many bonfires i personally dont rly give a fuk, its just makes me chuckle 3. the camera angles aint rly a problem unless you yourself get yourself into a bad position (like why would you walk close to a wall while fighting a large enemy for example and your clearly the elitist or a SJW thats proven by your comment '' Seriously just shut the fuck up already mr. elite expert gamer. Its people like you that make the dark souls community worse than the fucking rick and morty community. '' and '' To be fair you have to have a very high IQ to enjoy Dark souls.... '' like if you're gonna mindlessly trashtalk someone in the youtube comments at least dont contradict what you are saying yourself, and btw c: your comment doesnt rly have a real argument, and all your doing is enforce the the suspicion that you prob havnt played DS3 for more than 2 hours and prob didnt even get past farron keep c: like say whatever you want, im just commenting on ur retarded statement. have a good day c:
Then saying that there is no indicator for where players are on the bonfire is also wrong, theres a symbol after each bonfire. or not if its not active
I'm new to the Soulsbourne Series and I'm only at the Dancer so far but not a single time have I ever thought "I wish there were less bonfires" or "I hate having to comeback to the Firelink shrine".
after playing it on PC for a month or so i'd forgotten all about the load time issues that i experienced on console until watching this shitty list lol
As a console player. I don't really think so. Yes, compared to PC, but compared to an average console game, it's pretty standard. Just read the text and it's done
Dark Souls 3 is my first proper ds game I played a bit of ds1, got through a quarter of ds2 and so I don't know too much about the series And that's why I disagree with most of these
And for the Jailer thing: "Oh yeah, jail keepers are too hard" I mean it isn't like they ran a F-ing JAIL or anything. Wouldnt be much of a jail if the keepers sucked at their job.
Yeah they're not that hard at all. They can get a little annoying in that one room where there's like 10 of them but you can just run past them if they give you trouble
In Dark Souls, you mostly see a broken down kingdom, full of dangerous enemies, traps, and even buildings. You are never safe in the game, as there might be an enemy around the corner, or you might fall down off a broken down castle wall. You can die anytime in the game, and it's nice to have a safe zone where you can relax, talk to npcs, and get your gear upgraded, or infused before you continue your mission.
As soon as he said that invasion were an issue, I was automatically irritated. Invasions are exciting, even if you aren't good at PvP. You are either scared, excited, or cautious. Although it may be frustrating if you die, it's still a good idea. Dark Souls 2 was fun, although I feel that Dark Souls 2 was actually easier than Dark Souls 3. In Dark Souls 2 I was easily breezing through the game, and I beat it 6 times in under 4 weeks. In Dark Souls 3, it took me a good while (About a week) before I beat all of the bosses, and completed the whole game (Except for quests, getting all of the bone shards and estus shards, weapons, armors, etc). All I really do now is go hunting for the last remaining bone shard and the last 3 estus shards, and farm for Rosaria's Fingers and Aldrich Faithful (Since I like the concept of A.F). Anways, back to invasions, I love them, and I'm sure that many others do (Except for when you see a filthy thrusting sword spammer, or an onion, or a havel, or a pyromancy/miracle/sorcery spammer). They are exciting, and give you another reason to be extremely cautious in Dark Souls. Dark Souls is meant to be difficult, and if you are complaiing about how "easy" it is (Although it's really not, fight the Nameless King solo, even though the camera angles suck, all you need to do is dismount the Nameless King, and there, all fine.) just because there are a lot of bonfires, but then you bring up invasions, when you say Dark Souls players, you mean in general, and the community. Starting players can play offline until they feel comfortable, maybe with a new shield, weapon, or armor. MOST of the community in Dark Souls adore PvP, I mean, look at Otzdarva, Yung Maestro, Praise the Sun, or Oroboro. Dark Souls 3 is extremely boring once you beat the bosses (Unless you play NG+) and PvP fills in that empty gap. Crap, I realized that I spent a long time typing this.
I've never encountered a cheater, since I play on console (PS4, Aegil the Hunter is my DS3 name) but yeah, I've heard stories about it, and it seems pretty sh***y.
And Farron Keep was a true challenge, and lived up to the Dark Souls series. Especially when Watchdogs of Farron show up (My favorite covenant, although invasions aren't as common at A.F)
+Lil Beast summoning someone the may be hacker can get you ban in PC not only picking items. high lv players use to leave one peace of gear for lower players they pvp . #7 bad camera #6 eliminated power-stand #4 an area the it "looks the same and can get to get loose" # 3 useless blue phantom (also purple phantom/mound-maker is broken i summon 8 of them kill 6 but only got one vertebra shackle and if you invade sometimes the monster in the lv will attack you. last thing i haven`t kill the boos area. i only get the one bad white phantom to help me, but now i can`t trade my vertebra shackle because the creature the takes you there is attacking me) .#1 they are attacking the victim and not helping the them. those are issuer not bitching or people the need to git gud .
I'll get you some verterbra j marine xD I do agree on dropping items for lower levels, personally, I already know wtf gear I'm going to use- I knew it before I created my second character. So sure, you want the god damn lothric knight sword? here it is. Drop a duh drop. there should be a sub reddit to solve literally all these issues for you though j- you PS4, XBOX, Console...?
agreed did farron keep on my first DS3 playthrough... 0 deaths while heading through the swamp. it's called stocking up on moss and not being an idiot when facing enemies.
The swamp is not hard but it's annoying and I made many mistakes there. Such as not spending your souls before exploring the place for items. I lost 20000 souls there just because I didn't kill the enemies that were following me. If you don't git gud there, you're up for some cancerous area.
The Bonfires has more to do with loading aspects within the game, allowing the game to load the elements of the area you log into or teleport to first and the rest later. You notice this if you try to run out of Firelink Shrine right as soon as you go there via bonfire and can't due to the area outside it loading.
+josh a I was about to write a long ass comment about my opinion on this video, then I saw this comment... and I think it suits everything i have to say
+josh a to be honest this dark souls 3 video is one of the few i have a neutral point of view on, he makes solid points in the latter half of the list but the first few things are whining.
Here is my list: 1. Poise. 2. Poise. 3. R1 spam. 4. The continuous combos of some enemies that dont give you windows to attack back so you have to roll around them like an idiot for ages before they finish that fucking annoying 1234123 hit fiesta (yes, im talkin to you pontiff knights) 5. Quality build is the most legit in this game. 7. The lack of i-frames on backsteps. 9. The lack of powerstance. 11. No golf swings! 14. The cheese! 27. Poise. We need it back to DkS2 style. Miyazaki plz Other than that the game is fine.
>4. The continuous combos of some enemies that dont give you windows to attack back so you have to roll around them like an idiot for ages before they finish that fucking annoying This one was the worst in my opinion. While there were enemies in previous games that had small windows and long-ish combos, you could still finish most fights quickly enough. DS3, some bosses, it just feels like an eternity where you're not fighting, just evading.
Invasions suck when you're playing by yourself as a newbie and just wanted to stay embered for the health boost, but being invaded while you're in coop is just fair. These games are supposed to be tough so when you get extra help, expect to get dicked down too.
The first thing was a problem for me in the beginning, but after a while i realised they probably did it on purpose. Because it forces you to revisit firelink shrine. You realise that new npc's visit and also leave on their own. After each path you cleared you also probably get a weird item that comes in handy probably later on. So it forces you to go back to firelink and talk to new npc's.
idk why people make such a fuss about these things. if these were in a more "vanilla" type rpg, i'd be pissed but they aren't. you are playing dark souls. get used to it scrub.
I actually like the swamp. The poison deals next-to-no damage, the variety of aggressive enemies are cool, and it has some of the best rewards in the game. My only issue is that some parts of the swamp make you fat roll no matter what. You get the Fallen Knight's set + Pharis Hat + Corvian Scythe to look like a Bloodborne Hunter.
+asdf asdf The idea of an enemies ability draining your maximum health is totally fine with me. The problem I have is that it is unavoidable. Dark Souls may be trying its best to make it as hard for me as possible, but so far everything could be avoided if the player did it right. You taking damage simply meant you being punished for your mistakes. What is the mistake I'm doing with the jailers? : /
+Vulture153 ah the mistake is fighting them in the first place just do what i did and hide in fire link like a little bitch and let some other undead/lord of cinder or whatever rekindle the fire
+Vulture153 Not hitting hard and fast. With a decently leveled sword you should only need a run+strong then two or three more hits to take them out. when there's a group use ranged attacks to draw them out one by one. Fight smarter not harder.
Garrett Pomeroy So not being overleveled is my mistake? : / I don't know... If I am able to beat a boss unscathed shouldn't I be able to do the same to their minions? Well I *have* heard of people finishing the game at lvls 120 and above. Guess I really AM supposed to just overpower the mobs.
Farron Keep ? Try Blightown Freaking camera lock on ? Try free aim a while Hate invasion ? Try offline Those Jailers ? A good inducing fear enemy Duelist take a sip ? Well some people just don't have an honor
Dude, you made me laugh. Ty. In some aspects, with a DM mindset, I can only hope to create that kinda frustration in level / design gameplay. But the PVP & dealing with cheaters without going after the victims... Well, that's good knowledge and a challenge to keep in mind while developing. Ty , again. 😃
The one thing that’s kind of bothered me(but not to the point of annoying): Sit at a bonfire, everything is instantly reset, but dying results in a loading screen to do the same thing? I disagree with some of these, but all the MP stuff is spot on. I absolutely hate PvP in general, and the covenants requiring MP items with drops of less than 1% is just stupid if you don’t want or can’t play online!
After the tutorial apart from undead settlements first bonfire, they are horrifically spaced apart almost every time and if they aren't, it's because of how many enemies are there. Of course it took 20 seconds to run past 37 enemies and light a bonfire, you did it intentionally to try and prove a false point by taking one moment from the entire game to deceive and manipulate your audience. High wall of lothric has 1 single bonfire and is absolutely full of powerful enemies for early game players and with tons of forced encounters/fights you can't run past like people guarding ladders. On top of that you can fall off at any moment just by dodging in the wrong direction or being hit. The closer quarters areas wouldn't be so hard if enemies hit their weapons on walls but in ds3 enemies can hit straight through walls and the player gets caught on every little thing which stuns them btw. That's an example, one example, and it's the first part of the game. Ds3 doesn't have a bonfire issue if you don't try to do a pacifist route. Invasions are always unfair with massive equipment, level, and hacked client related gaps in players or experienced players invade new players which demolishes any semblance of playability in the game for online playthroughs. Not to mention the average 450 ping that makes people get hit randomly or not at all because of how bad the game was made in terms of net code,
Can't believe you guys thought this video wasn't gonna catch so much shit. A lot of the complaints are based upon arbitrary rules or just plain old whining. Don't wanna be invaded? Play offline. "But I wanna summon!" Then don't complain about invasions. Invasions are the risk you take for playing online. Too many Bonfires? DkS 3 has 56 bonfires, DkS 1 has 43 bonfires, DkS2 has a whopping 77 Bonfires, all including DLC. I will however agree that some are placed a little close. Healing during PvP? Some people still seem to think that everyone they come across should play the game as they would, that people are scum if they do or don't do things that they would or wouldn't do. This is a video game, not life or death. If it makes you SO mad then don't play online. Bitching and complaining or crying about honor in a VIDEO GAME will get you no where. "If you don't do PvP right, figure it out or get out." *followed by cringey, old memes from 2010* Camera spazzing out or locking off? Don't back yourself into corners or learn to play without it. I don't struggle with this because I play better without lock on and on max sensitivity, but to each his own. The camera tries really hard to adapt to you and the targeted things movements sometimes it just fucks up. I'd like someone to point out a perfect lock-on/camera system that doesn't get snagged on walls. Ghru hopping on your face? ROLL. They have very obvious and easily telegraphed attacks. They literally crouch almost to the floor and then hop, that's when you roll. Jailers are the same way. Easily telegraphed and they are extremely slow and passive. Only way I'd think you'd have a problem with them is if you bum rushed them or just sat there with your shield up and let them hit you. Powerstance was baller tho, I'll give you that. All in all this video is ridiculous and poorly thought out. I wouldn't have expected this from you guys. Sorry for the essay, just couldn't help it.
I do agree with you 100 per cent, although I do want to say something about the bonfire topic: I think it is not about the number of bonfires, but rather about their placement. DkS1 has had 10 bonfires left, but in my opionion, it felt like way less than in DkS 3. Anyway, good comment and I agree.
Most of the issues mentioned are not issues, is just DS being difficult as it is on his core. The online issues mentioned , well, that’s reasonable!!! I am playing it now and I love it
Sure, I guess invasions can be kind of fun and being summoned to help someone as well. But, yesterday when playing I got summoned four times within like 15 minutes, it gets really annoying after a while when trying to progress your own storyline.
Really? Farron Keep is difficult? Sure, you're bound to die a lot but I wouldn't consider the enemies unfair or very difficult beside the unarmed grue who I had a really tough time with XD still wouldn't consider it unfair. All I can tell you is git gud.
Idk for me i enjoyed going to firelink bc it felt like a home. It was nice knowing that in between all the chaos of the game i could go back to the safe space and relax for a moment
"Permanently drain your HP for a temporary amount of time." XD
lol

start: we are huge fans of dark souls
the video: CASUL
For anyone looking for potential "solutions" to these "problems"
10: Loading screen is a problem with your console
9: The multitude of bonfires in the beginning is a choice by the designers as a sort of learning curve. DS3 was the introduction to the Souls series for a lot of players not used to the series difficulty, so they had more bonfires in the beginning and less as the game progressed. It's smart designing.
8: Play offline. The only "invasions" then are npcs, so it's pve and basically just a higher level enemy in the base game
7: git gud and stop using the lock-on during boss fights, the boss won't stop doing those moves (and actually might do them more when you're locked on) so players need to master controlling the camera independently in the long run
6: play DS2 if you want that
5: "permanently" drain hp for a "temporary" amount of time...... also, just be patient with them.
Also, I'm fairly sure it does have an indicator beside the bonfire name when you can choose to warp to it
2: I agree, but this isn't a DS3 exclusive problem, this is just people being shitty
1: Again....not really a DS3 problem, more so a online gaming issue at large and the corporate's handling of the situation
As a huge dark souls fan with dark souls 3 as my favorite game in the series...Yes, indeed there is an indicator...This video feels really rushed and most of these "problems" are pretty lame really...
Sounds to me thay the guy that made the video is a crybaby
I agree with the bonfires. And it is related to map design. Ds 1 map is smaller than ds3 but has a lot of shortcut connecting to main hub. Ds3 is huge and straightforward.
Not really, stop saying git gud in every corner, the multiple bonfires are just a bad game design, the dagger thing is a glitch,

Permanently temporarily
Getting lost in Farron keep, fighting the camera in the first phase of nameless king, seeing your attacks land but not having them register are all bad, and should not be excused away with Git gud.
i had none of the problems you mentioned...
I like how he complained about every aspect of the game.

"Permanently drain your HP for a temporary amount of time."

+Warl89 no i think he wanted to say instantly. but he is a fucking hypetrain riding piece of shit and doesnt know what he is talking about thats why he said perma.

Those are some of the weakest enemies in the game, you can lure them around the corner or just bum rush them. This guy sucks.
+Frederick Abel when you actually "git gud" at this game you'll realize that it's one of the worst in the series
Anuitcuptis I'd say it's the second worst, other than dark souls 2. Ds2 had pretty good pvp but the actually game was pretty poor.
+Frederick Abel I give the second worst position to dks 1, two is personally my favorite, because it's actually do something in that game, in any case I don't like miyazakis game design. He ruined armored ore for me and he ruined dark souls 3 for me.

@@Absorbant Oh god! Pontiff is something else.
You can chose not to light a bonfire if you think its easy
That's probably the dumbest argument I've ever heard someone make.
MakeMeDinner I agree
Why would anyone complain about bonfires anyway?
Farron keep has nothing on blightown
They were both easy...
imo farron keep was one of the easier areas in the game because blighttown was so much harder.
Nicholas Christian I don't think you're actually intended to play either section. It was much is easier for me to strip down naked (irl as well) and run past everything.
dank sidious dank souls was meant to be play naked ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Blightown is nothing
"They can completely, permanently drain your maximum HP for a temporary amount of time..." Who wrote that line?

Everyone hates the Jailers, thank you for at least bringing that up.
I've never encountered a cheater, since I play on console (PS4, Aegil the Hunter is my DS3 name) but yeah, I've heard stories about it, and it seems pretty sh***y.
And Farron Keep was a true challenge, and lived up to the Dark Souls series. Especially when Watchdogs of Farron show up (My favorite covenant, although invasions aren't as common at A.F)
too many safe zones = too easy
"They can completely *permanently* drain your maximum HP for a *temporary* amount of time"
These are confusing times
3:29 completly permenatly drain your hp for a temperary amount of time?
I'll take Farron Keep swamp over Blighttown any day
I disagree, I kinda like Blighttown
Blight town is fitting and a cake walk if you know what your doing. Farron keep is the same way... but way easier to get lost
*points down*
*You're Welcome*
I'd ban him
My Thanks
SpinnyBoi I came here to say this, well said.
”Permanently drain your HP for a temporary amount of time”
3:28 "the fact that they can completely permenatly drain you're Hp for a temporary amount of time"

The title should be "complaining about dark souls 3"
+Lil Beast *bitching
"We couldn't get gut and wanted money, then *this* happened"
I'll get you some verterbra j marine xD
I do agree on dropping items for lower levels, personally, I already know wtf gear I'm going to use- I knew it before I created my second character.
So sure, you want the god damn lothric knight sword? here it is. Drop a duh drop.
there should be a sub reddit to solve literally all these issues for you though j- you PS4, XBOX, Console...?
LOL yeah, a guy in that armor is the kind to win xD I was thinking of putting that on myself- sick of these level 50 flasking claymore wielders. xD
Lol farron keep isn't that hard.
agreed did farron keep on my first DS3 playthrough... 0 deaths while heading through the swamp. it's called stocking up on moss and not being an idiot when facing enemies.
Venkat Madduri the swamp was easy but once i got to the abyss watchers boss fight at such a low level i knew i fucked up😂
The swamp is not hard but it's annoying and I made many mistakes there. Such as not spending your souls before exploring the place for items. I lost 20000 souls there just because I didn't kill the enemies that were following me. If you don't git gud there, you're up for some cancerous area.
Only those Frogs are the problem but that's just about it. Unlike those lantern guys, you can see it coming and how to avoid them.
It's not hard but for me it's just boring and annoying, It's the only area in the game that I hate getting to haha
"Long load time" well yes but actually no
The Bonfires has more to do with loading aspects within the game, allowing the game to load the elements of the area you log into or teleport to first and the rest later. You notice this if you try to run out of Firelink Shrine right as soon as you go there via bonfire and can't due to the area outside it loading.
sounds to me like someone just needs to git gud
yup.
Only one things on the list are actually bad. The camera is ass
+IFreshxSnipe The camera is the true final boss of DkS3
+josh a I was about to write a long ass comment about my opinion on this video, then I saw this comment... and I think it suits everything i have to say
+josh a to be honest this dark souls 3 video is one of the few i have a neutral point of view on, he makes solid points in the latter half of the list but the first few things are whining.
Here is my list:
1. Poise.
2. Poise.
3. R1 spam.
4. The continuous combos of some enemies that dont give you windows to attack back so you have to roll around them like an idiot for ages before they finish that fucking annoying 1234123 hit fiesta (yes, im talkin to you pontiff knights)
5. Quality build is the most legit in this game.
7. The lack of i-frames on backsteps.
9. The lack of powerstance.
11. No golf swings!
14. The cheese!
27. Poise. We need it back to DkS2 style. Miyazaki plz
Other than that the game is fine.
>4. The continuous combos of some enemies that dont give you windows to attack back so you have to roll around them like an idiot for ages before they finish that fucking annoying
This one was the worst in my opinion.
The first thing was a problem for me in the beginning,
but after a while i realised they probably did it on purpose. Because it forces you to revisit firelink shrine. You realise that new npc's visit and also leave on their own. After each path you cleared you also probably get a weird item that comes in handy probably later on. So it forces you to go back to firelink and talk to new npc's.
Farron keep is poo poo compared to blighttown
Amen brother.
I actually found myself missing Blighttown a few weeks back. So damned annoying and hard. I love it.
Literally.
Psychosis not if you took the back route through valley of drakes
one solution to solve 80% of these problems...
git gud
bape gawd kakashi Damn. Didnt see that one coming😂
Andrew you copied a comment before you.. just don't even
I saw that comming
I would rather die
idk why people make such a fuss about these things. if these were in a more "vanilla" type rpg, i'd be pissed but they aren't. you are playing dark souls. get used to it scrub.
For the swamp: use pyromancy or torches, get a bow, and definetely keep a weapon slot open for a dagger to travel faster through the swamp
When you find out the final boss is actually the camera.
The jailers made me rage quit plenty of times
+asdf asdf YUP
Try Blightown
Freaking camera lock on ?
Try free aim a while
Hate invasion ?
Try offline
Those Jailers ?
A good inducing fear enemy
Duelist take a sip ?
Well some people just don't have an honor
Faron keep?
Try consumed kings gardens
But what if you wanna play with friends but not deal with invaders?
@@atlas4789 make a password u casul n00b
@@lilramennoodle8056 i have one tho. But password or not if embered you get invaded
Hotel? Trivago
Ty , again. 😃
One thing that annoys me that every upgrade requires more and more souls.
"permanently drain your max hp for a temporary amount of time"
+kyleWatkinsE ikr?
+GhostDriveTV7 I'm sorry you had to go through that
- Played only dark souls 3 = filthy hipster casual
- Played Demon Souls + DS 1 and 2 = Lord Gaymer
+A small loan of a million small loans what about Bloodborne?
+gameranx that is not souls how dare you you just triggerd the biggest 12 old souls fanboy on the planet. jk im not 12 dont kill me plz
gameranx im a filthy pc user FeelsBadMan
I played dark souls 3 and 2
with bloodborne
I started with bloodborne, came back and played ds1. now I'm playing ds3. what's that make me? lol
You can just use ember in Boss fights instead of outside the Boss fights
"Completely permanently drain your maximum HP for a temporary amount of time".... I'm sorry what?
2:22 lets be fair you were fucked with or without camera lock
True, standing in a corner in that fight during a salvo is a suicide move no matter your camera view
existing during the second stage salvo is a suicide move no matter what.
What r u? Casul?
he complains like one !!!
Baldino is a pussy.
Cody Kotasek he’s not complying lol also It’s spelled ‘casual
express dissatisfaction or annoyance about a state of affairs or an event. complain ?
It being spelt as "Casul" is part of the meme bruv
“Completely permanently drain your health for a temporary ammount of time” sir you make no sense
"If you don't do PvP right, figure it out or get out." *followed by cringey, old memes from 2010*
Camera spazzing out or locking off?
100% agree ....good comment
Nice
Nice
Or if you don't want to be invaded, just don't be kindled all the time.
"Completely, PERMANENTLY drain your maximum HP for a TEMPORARY amount of time"
Seems legit.
Was about to comment that aswell.
You see, the point of a review is to seem credible. When you say something so stupid, you might lose just a little bit of that credibility.
If you don’t like invasions then just go offline 🤦♂️
Most of the issues mentioned are not issues, is just DS being difficult as it is on his core.
The online issues mentioned , well, that’s reasonable!!!
I am playing it now and I love it
"permanentely drain your hp for a temporary amound of time" my IQ got lower just from hearing that phraze
Bruh
The video permanently drained my iq for a temporary amount of time
@@juancampos9468 Good one!
"Completely permanently drain your HP for a temporary amount of time" -- OK...
I was thinking the same thing lol
+Jørgen Oktober Storm Nestande Thyrum Was thinking the exact same thing. Fantastic utilization of grammar once again.
Another thing i hate is the rehashing of assets, lore, characters from the original DS, even some OSTs are just mixed DS1 OSTs.
Sure, I guess invasions can be kind of fun and being summoned to help someone as well. But, yesterday when playing I got summoned four times within like 15 minutes, it gets really annoying after a while when trying to progress your own storyline.
Okay not having watched the video, if the dark sword/estoc isn't in this video, i am going to be mildly annoyed.
God damnit
Git gud
Estoc bestoc
+Snickering Tortoise He didn't even mention poise.
+Snickering Tortoise can't people ever get it right ? It's Bestoc*
Really? Farron Keep is difficult? Sure, you're bound to die a lot but I wouldn't consider the enemies unfair or very difficult beside the unarmed grue who I had a really tough time with XD still wouldn't consider it unfair. All I can tell you is git gud.
Farron keep isn't difficult if your competent enough to not attempt to r1 spam your way through the game.
If these people think faron keep is difficult, I wanna see them go through blight town. That shit was difficult
+Michael Mcgrandle Lol blight town was the easiest area in the game
jojotaz33
For your first time Blighttown is a horrible fucking maze. But once you've played a while it's not a bad area.
RIDICULOGAN Never said it was the easiest but the like 7 enemies i had to face were easy.
When they were allowed to cuss in their videos made it oddly better. It always throws me when I’m jumping from older videos to newer ones.
Idk for me i enjoyed going to firelink bc it felt like a home. It was nice knowing that in between all the chaos of the game i could go back to the safe space and relax for a moment
