Just a quick note - fans are configured as intake since there gives the radiator the coolest air directly, there are no considerations for ambient case temps other than for the motherboard's chipset fan. This also mitigates the inconvenience of warm air blanketing the user, such as in AIO or air cooled Meshlicious builds where the exhaust config is the preferred mode.
Im curious if a front exhaust and dremeling the motherboard tray to allow a slim fan top intake would be more permitting for ram overclocking and lower vrm temps while maintain acceptable cpu/gpu temps. This seems to be the only popular liquid cooled SFF case that would be easy to put an intake fan directly over the ram and exhaust the cpu / gpu heat away from the main components.

Would you mind sharing how the reservoir/pump mounts to the case? I’m considering the 80cm version of that same reservoir but I can’t see an obvious place on the meshlicious to mount this.
🧃You know… it could probably work just fine until it starts fermenting in the loop. Mostly water anyway so juice with solids filtered out would cool well. I don’t want to be the one cleaning that loop though… 😂

With a simple loop like this one, 2500rpm for the DDC will be more than enough. Running it faster won't drop temperature in any significant way. You can test it running the pump at 4500rpm and 2500rpm. I bet the temperature difference will be less than 1C. I consider the DDC very quiet at 2500rpm and below.
@@rickysargulesh1053 If you have a big loop with multiple rad, then yeah, go for the D5. But for a simple loop like that. A DDC at 2500rpm or even 2200rpm will provide more than enough flow rate. A DDC at 2000-2500rpm is more quiet than a Noctua A12x25 at 700rpm.
4.6 Ghz Allcore is pretty great and good temps under load for GPU and CPU with just a 240. I must be doing something wrong. My 1080ti and 9900k give me coolant temps of 37°C or higher with a 240 and 360 rad
That's good news in one way, meaning you're able to get the heat away from the CPU, 9900k being notoriously horrible because of the gunk of a TIM. Also, not all rads and fans are created equal. You should make sure you're getting that heat away from the radiator by testing on some sort of open air setup.
Doesn't this setup create additional heat for VRMs etc? I love sff custom loops but I feel like the cost(money and time) benefit is quite limited when you strictly focus on cooling performance. I'd have slapped on an Alphacool pump-block combo and be done with it.
There are solutions - you can jury-rig a 90mm fan at the top to blow air onto the motherboard, or a small 40mm fan in front of the motherboard blowing air directly onto it. SSUPD published 3d print models of fan holders which can be used in other of these solutions.

Noctua nfA12x25s are available in black now! Tho they are pretty exponsive.

Get a pair of Nidec Gentle Typhoons! They are in black/grey color, and low rpm hum is not that annoying.

I prefer D5's at higher rpm. Still enough flowrate and sooo much more quiet

Completely agreed, the 3500 is the ceiling I set it to ramp up from 2500, it’s indexed to the coolant temp.

280’s are not only more efficient, they are a lot quieter.
