jsut a suggestion, instead of the headsink for the nvme, i would have tried simply a thick thermalpad to make proper contact with the tray and make the tray the passive heatsink

Question, where do you get the spare standoffs, I've been looking on Amazon or ebay but wanted to know I'd there was somewhere I could buy them that was more quality controlled?
I got mine from another motherboard/case, not exactly sure to be honest. But you can find them on newegg as well: geni.us/nam7 Otherwise I'd try to search for "Standoff" on your favorite pc parts shop, they _should_ be quite common.

ITX builds the best; be looking at the SSUPD Meshliciouse for a while, and it definitely is a dream case; I plan to switch from my NZXT 210i with my 3070; it's so awesome that it fits even the most powerful PC parts; it would definitely be a dream build, even to have it with the latest gen CPU, a 3090 and water-cooled, it looks especially great for me as an international student that goes to LAN parties, lots of moving around, awsome as a carry-on, extraordinary case, excellent build. Imma get myself an upgrade on Christmas.
Man this video is great informative and eye candy at the same time, even that intro with that music got me hyped and its shame that rama works case will probably never exist.
You got a new subs! I don't use ITX system myself ( I use mATX because it's the sweet spot for me (not too big nor small) and some of them are interesting like Silverstone TJ08-e/CS330, among other things), but I love to learn about the 'challenges' of ITX build like airflow, cable management, etc. I do plan to build another not-so-unique mATX system, and I do admit I use some of the knowledge of ITX build, like blowing air directly to GPU from the bottom of the case (like in NR200 or M1) in order to reduced GPU temp., using 15mm fan to get more clearance, etc. Thank you for the video! :D

If I were to build a brand new PC right now this would be my go-to case for the build. In fact, I would have transferred everything from my Meshify C case into the Meshlicious if it weren't for the fact that I'd need to get new ram (recently got new 8GBx4 sticks) and a new motherboard. Edit: Awesome video quality by the way.
I just did this exact swap, I was happy running the meshy C but I had the urge to go smaller. Managed to get a used b450i for $95, grabbed an h100i from my junk drawer, and it's been running perfectly :D
I don't comment frequently on build videos like this but consider me subscribed HARD in anticipation of your detailed loop follow-up. I'm teetering on the edge of migrating my FormD T1 loop into a Mesh and would also want a 280 rad and an higher-tier Zen 3 CPU, so this is exactly what I'm looking to watch lately. And would certainly love if you discussed: coolant temperatures as your baseline for thermal performance; any testing with respect to radiator fans as intake vs. exhaust (which makes observable differences when aircooling sure, but I haven't seen much discussion on if it matters for full loops!). TBH, I'm eager to see whatever you come up with because I find your production style so refreshing :]

I was hoping that I could try to switch it out without completely disassembling the system. But that was a bit too optimistic on my side... I hope everything else is covered though.
im happy with my Fractal Meshify 2 (not the Compact or XL, the normal one). Especially while you can remove the top and front which is are great help in the building process

Watching this video in April 2024 since I need to watercool my reference 7900XTX from a faulty cooler that I can’t get an RMA on, and at the time, the Meshlicious seems to be abandoned, and its successor, the Meshroom S, seems to be out of stock everywhere and definitely doesn’t have the same level of build quality as the OG Meshlicious. I thankfully have both (I actually got the meshroom S because my Meshlicious shipped with damage and I never bothered to get it RMAed), and your video has been awesome as a reference for the work required for this

Very pleasant video to watch, and very clear and useful information inthere. I ended up not going for an ITX case because my current ITX mobo will need an upgrade in the near future, and I might actually go for mATX or ATX. Who knows what 2022 will bring to us. I settle on the o11 mini which is possibly the most flexible case on the market right now. Jack of All Trades kind of case. The Meshlicious is the stylish and fancy alternative to what the NR200 is for ITX. Both are great cases.
I love the o11 mini, almost went for it as well but my space constraints forced me towards the Meshlicious. Thanks for the comment and I think you nailed it: "...fancy alternative to what the NR200 is for ITX" 😅

I have a RTX3090FE and a 5900x and I'm really considering downsizing from a Corsair 4000D to this case. Although I love my GPU cooler soo I might need to try Air cooled in this case.
Top notch. I've seen a lot of videos on meshilicious but this one is the most handy in terms of construction! Is there any room for a 3.5" drive with a normal GPU? Where would you suggest we put that drive?
Just had a look and I don't think there's any "sensible" location for a 3.5" drive with a normal GPU. If you don't use a 240/280 rad, e.g. if you air-cool your GPU and use a single front fan (or AIO) you _might_ have enough space at the bottom front, placing the drive vertically against the grill. But there are no holes to officially attach it and your SATA cable needs to make a hard bend (probably get a 90° one) but I can't guarantee it. If your GPU is watercooler like in the video, you might have space for the drive on the top right (looking at the case with the GPU facing you, same placement where the SFF GPU would be). You could zip-tie the drive to the top or to the back of the case, not the most secure place but I just "held" it there and it has enough space between the side panel and the GPU. Honestly, I don't think there's any good place to put a 3.5" drive with a normal GPU 😬 Also, thanks! 🙂
@@rachelcheung2247 the sfx fan should ALWAYS be outwards lol. It's a mesh case, take advantage of fresh air :D Also fans should pull air in from the sides towards the front

Yeah... I wish I had more space to film, I hate the fact that I can't go back further to see more. I'm thinking of getting a wider lens in the future, hope that will give me more flexibility.
yes with the ritght components its one of the easiest builds you can do. i choose a different path with atx power supply, 3080ti gaming x trio, and a 280mm AIO cpu cooler. it fits, but it was the hardest build i have ever done. my worst mistake was, to save few bucks with the pci 3.0 cable instead of 4.0. yes i got everything together and got no video signal... yes, the slot on the mainboard does not switch automatically to 3.0.... i had to take everything apart, put the 3080ti directly into the pci slot and change it manually in the bios setting. just buy it with the pci 4.0 riser cable. even if you dont have the hardware for it right now, you will upgrade in the future and the cable costs 100€ for me in germany. now everything works and im happy xD
I used a dremel to cut out the hard drive/ SSD mount portion of the wall of my evolv shift. Mounted a low profile noctua there. I switched to a Meshlicious about a year ago and have had problems that ive come to realize is probably the gen 4 riser cable. Stuttering in desktop and game crashes. Thinking about switching to an matx case and leaving riser cables behind forever
Just built mine last weekend. I used the Fractal Lumen S28 RGB AIO. Unfortunately I ran into some AIO tube length issues however I suppose I asked for this going for the biggest AIO I could fit. The central frame where the mobo sits is partially in the way of the tubes connecting to the radiator at the bottom. Additionally, the tubes leading into the CPU press against the mesh and I did in fact have to slightly cram the side panel on. Something to be wary of when picking an AIO for this case.
After building my ungodly Monster super tower Corsair 1000D I wanted to see how small I could build after the first itx system in a Ncase iv built 8 this year in small form factors
Great vid, I bought my case preorder and fell in love with it since. I plan on adding a 240mm aio into my build. It seems that most people like the EK AIO Basic 240mm. If anyone has other recommendations to any slim 240 rad/aio that I can install my Noctua NF-P12's onto, I'd appreciate it.
Worth noting that the designer of the meshlicious/SSUPD is the same as the Formd T1. Hence the immaculate design and consideration put into the case. I wouldn’t discount SSUPD as a “young company”.
I Will definitely do some more, but will most likely mix some gaming content in between. I also got a Steam Deck pre-order and one for the Panic Play. Date. So should hopefully remain interesting for at least a few videos 😅
The best case in the market right now PERIOD. Have you seen the insane results it has with a single 280 rad? 😱 I already got my formd t1 and i love it, but this case is waaaaaay more versatile for just a little more space. The mind blowing thing is both cases were designed by the same person. Wahaha360. He has a hidden talent for being able to squeeze the maximum amount of hardware in any given volume :P. Lian li just makes the case. Btw, you should try a Pull config on the rad. That way you cool everhthing inside the case as well and don't go against it. Vrms, power supply, etc
got to say, I love the look of the evolve shift 2, but cooling wise it does seem flawed. This on the other hand has always interested me. Can you fit a slim or standard fan on the bottom, not officially attached but stuck there to push some air up through it all? It could do with a split side panel, glass on top mesh on bottom so you can see the mobo but still let the psu breath. Also, thanks and well done for going into that much detail and not being boring about it. I was interested for the whole ride.
You would need some taller feet to mount it outside of the case but there is nothing obstructing you from zip-tying something on there (unless you got a display cable that is too stiff to bend). Inside the case, the middle tray is going to be in the way to fit any reasonably sized fan. But if you do this you should make sure the GPU isn't blowing out that way, my TUF3090 has the exhaust at the bottom, and pulling hot air away would probably be less efficient 😬 Also, thanks! 🙂
I just don't like the corners of that case. Unfortunately that cannot be unseen. I would prefer a single piece for top and side panels which slides over. Yes, it would be inconvenient but looks wise more pleasing.
The 3 slot config will be fine, but you will have to remove the little piece next to the I/O shield that you would normally remove in the 4 slot config (that little ca. 1cm wide grill). I'm at the limit with my 10mm stand-offs, I think the extra 2mm will be too much. But make sure that you have enough space for the CPU block so you can still close the side panel.

How on earth do you keep your water temp that low under load? I have a 3080 and 3900x running with two 240mm rads and my water gets up to 45 degrees under a gaming load.
Honestly, I'm surprised myself, when I put this together I was worried that it might not work at all but it does run very smooth so far. On my longer play sessions (a lot of GTFO atm), which currently last for about 4-5h the system doesn't seem to be breaking a sweat (the fans are locked at 1000rpm). I did undervolted using Optimum Techs guide: czcams.com/video/zUkPAVcb9Xc/video.html and that drops the temps a few degrees, without it the water temp goes up to around 41°-42° other than that I didn't change anything.
Yeah sure, AIO probably takes even less space than the custom loop config. Check out page 9 of the manual, you can see how an AIO might fit in the case: geni.us/G2uQ
Did the SF750 manage this hardware? I plan to build system with rtx 4080 but I saw that 4080 TDP will be 400W. I wish Corsair would make 850W PSU or bigger but I think it's impossible with this form factor.
Worked, or is still working perfectly fine. I never had an issue and it's still a beast of a machine to work and play on. I'm not sure how it would handle the 400W TDP, the 3090 is already pushing it.

14L mITX case is just a joke. Heaps of proper mATX cases at such size with good cooling options.

I ended up not going for an ITX case because my current ITX mobo will need an upgrade in the near future, and I might actually go for mATX or ATX. Who knows what 2022 will bring to us. I settle on the o11 mini which is possibly the most flexible case on the market right now. Jack of All Trades kind of case.
The Meshlicious is the stylish and fancy alternative to what the NR200 is for ITX. Both are great cases.
I love the o11 mini, almost went for it as well but my space constraints forced me towards the Meshlicious.

Noice. I ended up getting bigger standoffs for my riser cable. Was still able to fit my FTW3 3080 with plenty of cable management for 3 PCIE cables.

I have a RTX3090FE and a 5900x and I'm really considering downsizing from a Corsair 4000D to this case. Although I love my GPU cooler soo I might need to try Air cooled in this case.
Top notch. I've seen a lot of videos on meshilicious but this one is the most handy in terms of construction!
Is there any room for a 3.5" drive with a normal GPU? Where would you suggest we put that drive?
Just had a look and I don't think there's any "sensible" location for a 3.5" drive with a normal GPU. If you don't use a 240/280 rad, e.g. if you air-cool your GPU and use a single front fan (or AIO) you _might_ have enough space at the bottom front, placing the drive vertically against the grill. But there are no holes to officially attach it and your SATA cable needs to make a hard bend (probably get a 90° one) but I can't guarantee it.
If your GPU is watercooler like in the video, you might have space for the drive on the top right (looking at the case with the GPU facing you, same placement where the SFF GPU would be). You could zip-tie the drive to the top or to the back of the case, not the most secure place but I just "held" it there and it has enough space between the side panel and the GPU.
Honestly, I don't think there's any good place to put a 3.5" drive with a normal GPU 😬

@@Matpermad can confirm you can fit 1 x 3.5" behind the sfx power but only ideal if you plan to face the sfx fans outwards.

Also fans should pull air in from the sides towards the front

In my old case, the Phantek Shift Evolv 1 it was. I would try it with the Meshlicious, the cooling is significantly better.

Yeah... I wish I had more space to film, I hate the fact that I can't go back further to see more. I'm thinking of getting a wider lens in the future, hope that will give me more flexibility.

yes with the ritght components its one of the easiest builds you can do. i choose a different path with atx power supply, 3080ti gaming x trio, and a 280mm AIO cpu cooler. it fits, but it was the hardest build i have ever done. my worst mistake was, to save few bucks with the pci 3.0 cable instead of 4.0. yes i got everything together and got no video signal... yes, the slot on the mainboard does not switch automatically to 3.0.... i had to take everything apart, put the 3080ti directly into the pci slot and change it manually in the bios setting.
just buy it with the pci 4.0 riser cable. even if you dont have the hardware for it right now, you will upgrade in the future and the cable costs 100€ for me in germany.
now everything works and im happy xD

I used a dremel to cut out the hard drive/ SSD mount portion of the wall of my evolv shift. Mounted a low profile noctua there. I switched to a Meshlicious about a year ago and have had problems that ive come to realize is probably the gen 4 riser cable. Stuttering in desktop and game crashes. Thinking about switching to an matx case and leaving riser cables behind forever

Just built mine last weekend. I used the Fractal Lumen S28 RGB AIO. Unfortunately I ran into some AIO tube length issues however I suppose I asked for this going for the biggest AIO I could fit. The central frame where the mobo sits is partially in the way of the tubes connecting to the radiator at the bottom. Additionally, the tubes leading into the CPU press against the mesh and I did in fact have to slightly cram the side panel on. Something to be wary of when picking an AIO for this case.
After building my ungodly Monster super tower Corsair 1000D I wanted to see how small I could build after the first itx system in a Ncase iv built 8 this year in small form factors

Great vid, I bought my case preorder and fell in love with it since. I plan on adding a 240mm aio into my build. It seems that most people like the EK AIO Basic 240mm. If anyone has other recommendations to any slim 240 rad/aio that I can install my Noctua NF-P12's onto, I'd appreciate it.

Worth noting that the designer of the meshlicious/SSUPD is the same as the Formd T1. Hence the immaculate design and consideration put into the case. I wouldn’t discount SSUPD as a “young company”.

I already got my formd t1 and i love it, but this case is waaaaaay more versatile for just a little more space.
The mind blowing thing is both cases were designed by the same person. Wahaha360. He has a hidden talent for being able to squeeze the maximum amount of hardware in any given volume :P. Lian li just makes the case.
Btw, you should try a Pull config on the rad. That way you cool everhthing inside the case as well and don't go against it.

got to say, I love the look of the evolve shift 2, but cooling wise it does seem flawed. This on the other hand has always interested me. Can you fit a slim or standard fan on the bottom, not officially attached but stuck there to push some air up through it all? It could do with a split side panel, glass on top mesh on bottom so you can see the mobo but still let the psu breath.

You would need some taller feet to mount it outside of the case but there is nothing obstructing you from zip-tying something on there (unless you got a display cable that is too stiff to bend). Inside the case, the middle tray is going to be in the way to fit any reasonably sized fan.
But if you do this you should make sure the GPU isn't blowing out that way, my TUF3090 has the exhaust at the bottom, and pulling hot air away would probably be less efficient 😬

How did you mod your Evolv shift 1 to take thicker gpu? I urgently need that hack lol.

Unfortunately that cannot be unseen.
I would prefer a single piece for top and side panels which slides over. Yes, it would be inconvenient but looks wise more pleasing.
With a 12mm standoff will i have to move the case to the 4 clot position or can I keep the 3 slot and with the back IO still fit
The 3 slot config will be fine, but you will have to remove the little piece next to the I/O shield that you would normally remove in the 4 slot config (that little ca. 1cm wide grill). I'm at the limit with my 10mm stand-offs, I think the extra 2mm will be too much.
But make sure that you have enough space for the CPU block so you can still close the side panel.
They should've thought of the standoff mod from the factory... Cable management is terrible without it.
Now that you mentioned it, you're right. I didn't think about how it would be without it, but it would have been a lot less clean, good point! 🙂

How on earth do you keep your water temp that low under load? I have a 3080 and 3900x running with two 240mm rads and my water gets up to 45 degrees under a gaming load.
Honestly, I'm surprised myself, when I put this together I was worried that it might not work at all but it does run very smooth so far. On my longer play sessions (a lot of GTFO atm), which currently last for about 4-5h the system doesn't seem to be breaking a sweat (the fans are locked at 1000rpm).
I did undervolted using Optimum Techs guide: czcams.com/video/zUkPAVcb9Xc/video.html and that drops the temps a few degrees, without it the water temp goes up to around 41°-42° other than that I didn't change anything.

Did the SF750 manage this hardware? I plan to build system with rtx 4080 but I saw that 4080 TDP will be 400W. I wish Corsair would make 850W PSU or bigger but I think it's impossible with this form factor.
Worked, or is still working perfectly fine. I never had an issue and it's still a beast of a machine to work and play on.
I'm not sure how it would handle the 400W TDP, the 3090 is already pushing it.
