- I arrived on the island of Gotland in Sweden. The goal: To find as many filming locations as possible for the famous Astrid Lindgren series "Pippi Longstocking". In the second part of my video series, I show you the famous candy shop from the show, the toy shop and the marketplace where Pippi dances on a rope.
A film by Matthias Schwarzer.

So happy vou made this video. I love Pippi. I used to watch the shows when i was a young boy in the 70s. I can still watch Pippi on CZcams so i am happy. ❤
This is probably the first children's TV show I remember watching in the early 70s that was from mainland Europe and clearly not filmed in English - the other being Three Wishes for Cinderella (as I think we called it), which you have also covered. Thank you for unearthing these memories. As for the playground material, I would call those "wood chippings" or maybe "bark chippings".
"Not the brightest candle on the cake" is a really great idiom!!
I learned one from Finland the other day; Tommy and Annika doesn't have all the moomins in the valley!
In my childhood Pipi had found a another word - “kukaryamba”
"Spunk" does have another meaning in American English but it's a bit archaic -- to have courage and determination. e.g. "she's got no spunk, or she'd have left him long ago"
It's not in common use today for obvious reasons.
Don't know if you have already mentioned this before that there were german actors in the Pippi series/movies. Fröken Prysselius, Dunder-Karlsson and Blom were german actors. The series/movies was a collaboration between swedish and german production companies.
I would love to visit her house. Im in Hilsingborg now. Is there a train/ferry possible?
Onr thing you need to know: Pippi Långstrump is not a documentary.
Things in movies are not always what you will find in reality, please try to find Narnia and document how it looks in reality.....
Most people learn this around the age of 10, but perhaps the German schooling system is different?
You make no sense
Congrats. That was the stupidest thing I've read in a while.
He never said it is a documentary. He looks after the FILMING location of the MOVIE/TV-series.
And you CAN find Narnia locations, if you find where they FILMED that movie (unless its just all CGI of course, which Pippi is not since it was filmed in 1969).
