I absolutely love your reviews, they are simply the best, full stop. I also agree with you that the spoiler or that wing thing at the back, is a bit too much as someone else said, and may add, it doesn't fit the car at all.

The first amg I ever loved
Thanks Thomas! Looks really good to me. I especially like the color, and the interior materials are also very nice. The rear spoiler is a bit too much for me, though..
It seems like this new A class is indeed quite an improvement over the previous one. And an 'AMG light' seems like a good idea to me!

Agree Thomas, that rear spoiler is far too brash. Looks like an aftermarket cheap add on on an otherwise classy looking car
I love the functionality of the screens but they need to integrate them better, they look a bit out of place, bit of an afterthought. Also halogen lights on a high in the range car ☹️

I wish the hatch was coming to the US as well. The updated interior and practicality make this a perfect compromise between spirited driving and practicality.
I like what they did with the similar Subaru color scheme.
i prefer amg to be yellow and blue will do to! blue, white and yellow are the perfect color combination for an amg!

Wow. Mercedes is going hard after VW and Audi, trying to get some of those people who are traditionally GTI, Golf R or Audi A3 buyers aren’t they ? Interesting.
What about Tesla model 3?...IDK, but exterior and interior is definitely trying very hard to keep the wealthy buyers at MB dealership, coz M3 is greater performing but less of a charm than this little AMG, just my 2¢...
The A35 is meant to compete with the Audi S3, while the A45 competes with the RS3.
And they got me with this model. Me (driving GTI) and my Brother (driving S3) are going to buy the A35 this year.
Would be a great all weather hot hatch in Canada. Would seriously take this over Golf R.

In all honesty i would buy it or the A45 over a RS3 BUTTTT NOTHING beats the 5 cylinder engine in that RS3 so i would always favor the RS3 over A35/45

I'd love a hot hatch out of AMG. The design works -- as it does for Hyundai Elantra GT / N30i and Ford Focus hatch offerings, the two closest models design-wise. I know that could bring some flak, so take that statement as my visual interpretation. Base offering of halogen headlights is a very cheap move by MB / AMG considering that vehicles $20 - 30k less of the estimated cost have LED lamps. Love the air vents, but I'm not convinced by the full digital instrumentation. I like Porsche's hybrid gauge solution with a digital 3rd gauge, instead. Purchased used / CPO'd with a comprehensive warranty seems like a plan in 3 years. Now, will this AMG model make it to the States, I wonder.

Looks alright, but with a hot hatch it’s ALL about the way it drives and handles, so the reviews will be interesting. This I’d imagine can be specced to be one expensive hatch!
If it had a manual it would be a serious Focus RS, Type R, Golf R & Megane RS competitor

Shame on Mercedes for having entry halogen lights! Are you kidding me? And you are spoiling Paris motor show for me...
In Poland a new a-class has led headlights as a standard from A200 up so A35 will definitely has it too in standard spec.
Would rather get an e class coupe for the same money. Or better: a second hand 996 carrera 4. Best looking porsche ever.
What's with the frontal overhang, what was Mercedes thinking ? The old A class was already heavily disproportioned and had the longest nose of all competitors. What did Mercedes do, hopefully shorten it, right ? No, they made the overhang even bigger ... Now the car looks like a giant ant eater from the side, with almost 1 meter from Bumper to axis. I don't get it ...

Its available, even the yellow, at least in my country. But we dont get the mojave silver here in Sweden. Its sucks.
In Poland, we have these three colors available, but at the time of writing we did not have them. Maybe Sweden will also have the silver one you're talking about.

Only tacky people like that, fortunately they can't afford it yet. (If they can, they're probably criminals. Which makes it easy for the cops to pull them over). Either way, if you get that your message is that you have no taste and don't know how to spend your money were it counts.

I do like! Not keen on the colour, fake exhausts and the gold wheels! The gold wheels remind me of the effect you have if brakes have not been changed or have been sticking...if anyone knows what I meen! Still Mercedes have smashed it with interior! Very nice! Heard the engine is Renault but can't see Mercedes/Amg using a different manufacturer for an engine....???

it's a shame they've gone down like M have with M performance. such a shame
@J-oh Bl-oh that's right. But I also believe that once one competitor does it, they all probably have to do something to keep up. Still I don't see why they couldn't have done a Merc sport model range instead of dragging a great brand into being mediocre doing 35 and 43 models. Also the days of the big v12s and v8s are pretty much over so they might as well monetise and milk the brand while they can lol
what pissed me off the most was making the facelift c43 front grille a replica of the pre facelift 63.
Stop crying. Finally a car that several people can afford to get in touch with AMG.
So when is Mercedes going to release and produce and ALL ELECTRIC model with the AMG badging and performance. I can't believe Porsche beat them to the performance punch line speaking other than Tesla.

A Triumph! Finally Mercedes has an interior dash to equalise and even better Audi. That digital dash is the future guys, deal with it! 😉 First Tesla, now Mercedes!
Lose the stupid oversized rear spoiler and stickers (this cheapens it!), You've then got a wonderful, classy hot hatch. Nice blue colour too.

Well Mercedes knows better.. they did not suppressed mechanical buttons despite the touch panel and touch screen (which you can't operate without looking away from the road).. Tesla Automotive showed they didn't had a clue of how to develop a real world car.. it is designed for you to focus on the screen as much as possible instead of paying attention to the road and surroundings

Who says it's horrible? That was 10 years ago... Since the 3rd generation, the A-Class has been one of the best selling Mercedes models.
Georgi Ivanov it's one of the best selling mercedes because it's the cheapest mercedes. The previous a class models always felt cheap and not very german. This one seems to be different though.

My god.. how much can you go on about a bumper and dual fins on a bumper. Its plastic for christs sake. Give us the facts and cool stuff, compare it to the older version and give us the closest competiton. It is not that hard is it?
