Rosanna: “I’m so proud. It’s cooked. It tastes good.” the expectations really are low
After the last time, I think Rosanna has just leveled herself into just expecting them to finish before the tasting.
Every episode she judges in is a little more sanity lost
The poor woman has judged so many of these, "good" has gone out the window very early on.
Her critiquing their dishes sound like a mom trying not to hurt their child's feelings when they give them some random dish they 'created'. lol
Her hope has been officially lost.
The world-weary energy Rosanna brings at this point coupled with her visible relief when the food is even remotely edible is chef's kiss
I appreciate that they made her a constant for this exact reason

Keith giving a small history lesson when explains his love for northern chinese food is how you make a food outside of your culture without appropriating it.
You know as a Chinese person myself, I don’t think I wldve minded even without the explanation. I honestly think Americans place too much emphasis on cultural appropriation- like honestly I would just be glad if someone wanted to make and try my race’s cuisine and I rly wouldnt mind if someone wanted to try our traditional garb.
@Bla Bla nobody said it was ? be calm
@Bla Bla nobody said that LMAO
@@_.blank._9459 honestly I’ve never been told I’m appropriating but I spend days looking for accurate dishes, I’ve made tonkotsu ramen, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and garlic/ cheesy garlic naan. All from scratch not to mention the Italian dishes like ragus and pasta from scratch. I think more people should attempt to learn and cook other cultures food
But him calling Xi'an and Szechuan northern makes me cringe. Xi'an you can KIND OF make an argument that it's somewhat in the center, but Sichuan (Szechuan) is very much in the south, and their cuisine is considered the quintessential representation of southern cuisine.
I admire the heck out of Zach taking just about everything as a compliment during judging. "It's really mushy..." "Thank you so much!"
i love how eugene revealed they already made the gingerbread houses, but zach said “i better try harder for the gingerbread episode”
They did them out of sequence, so it may be that when Eugene said it they were taking a brake from gingerbread house and back so sausage while when Zach said it they still needed to start filming it
Seeing as all episodes are divided up it may be that they started with one and went through to the others while waiting
Like they started the cinnamon one and while the dough was rising they started the Mac and cheese and while that was cooling they did the sausage and so on 🤔🤷

Was almost impressed on Keith’s ability to distinguish northern Chinese food then he said ‘xi an, basically Szechuan’ which is merely 800 km away 👁👄👁
Lol yes I was looking for this comment! A for effort though lol
Omg yes! As someone from Changchun who grew up eating northern (or at least northeastern) cuisine, calling Sichuan northern is pure abomination. Sichuan cuisine is the quintessential, very REPRESENTATION of SOUTHERN food. Northern cuisine, on the other hand, is chives dumplings, Chinese sauerkraut dumplings, scallion pancakes, other types of layered pancakes, meat flavored with star anise and soy sauce, raw veggies (cucumbers, green onions, and radishes) dipped in soy paste, eggplants and potato and green onions mixed with soy paste, salad (with sliced tofu sheets, cucumbers, and slippery starch jelly) flavored with black vinegar, garlic, and cilantro. Those are what I think of as northern food. Anything with Chinese sauerkraut, anything with soy paste, anything flavored with star anise, soy sauce, and caramelized sugar-that's the general flavor profile of northern Chinese food. There's frozen persimmon and frozen Asian pears that you eat after partially thawing. Most dough-based foods are northern in origin as well. Northern cuisine is also known for mixing random ingredients in a big pot, favoring quantity and satiety over presentation. Northern (or at least northeastern) food is known for being savory and not very pretty. Doesn't make it to foreign restaurants a lot because of what it lacks in presentation.
Everybody needs to chill, a lot of Americans can't even find China on a map and haven't the slightest interest in doing so 😂

Keith desperately screaming “do you want a pie slicer!?!!” At Zach is one of the best things I’ve ever seen😂💀
I don’t know how many times I have rewinded a few gold moments and this is one I missed and had to find because of the comments (it’s at about 28:50)
@@sweetbluemerleThank you I missed it and had to go back I died laughing
29:15 I love this moment
I love their friendship 😂
I DIED EVERYTIME I WENT BACK AND REWINDED IT. AND THEN THE PAUSE AND SILENCE AFTER WAS GOLDEN. LOL
still LOVE the whole *professional saying "don't do this!!!!"* and then cutting to them doing it
Mad respect to a sausage chef enjoying and being excited about a vegan ish bug sausage as a concept
“there’s no way that whatever that is, it’s gonna stop them from bursting” ZACH. PLS. U MUST RELIEVE THE PRESSURE
I'd love a behind-the-scenes where the guys learn what the should have done (seeing Keith and Zach learn what the poker was for would be hilarious).
Visually, this episode is horrifying.
Comedically, though, it's top tier.
So, just listen to it. Thank you for the heads up.
especially with zach getting frustrated
I nearly got sick when Zach was trying to grind the octopus.
Never have I agreed with a comment more than this.
@@mixinpixie420 I straight up gagged, it was so unpleasant.
Eugene is trying to be evil and lose. Yet somehow he ends up making delicious food. While winning
Keith with a mustache just seems so natural, like it’s always been there
Zach: "Judges I did not cook-"
Sausage Chef: *visible fear*
And the female judge

@@pvic6959 yep! Didn't know her name.
I like that whenever things go wrong, Ned just finds the closest person to hug 🥺
Nice Hero pfp
That hug was so wholesome, Eugene was reaching for it too before he even realized 😂
It's that dad life. A good hug fixes most things.
Why do you watch this crap
@@frankcastle9691 why do you comment??
sausage judge really warmed up and charmed everyone. bring him back
When Zach slapped Eugene's ass and then Eugene just looks at him? That's the best laugh I've had in a while
Time stamp?
@@crodudebro 43:30 the way the zach starts giggling is adorable which is why I think they're a good pairing. I love it when the lovable goofball that is zach gets the elegant mystery that is eugene to be silly
Zach was channeling George Constanza
There's just something magical about the fact that Evil Eugene is absolutely huggable and eco-friendly
Waiting for angel-Eugene 👼
Merry Christmas seasons everyone! 😇✨
Eugene: "Well, slap me on the ass and call me a weiner, we're in a farce."
Zach: *slap* *hands up* weiner!
Eugene's death stare and him saying HARDER make me CRY LAUGH
😂😂😂 this part
I replayed it 5 times, and laugh so much that I woke up my husband😂😂😂
43:30 btw
The sausage maker is so sweet to them while also giving genuine tips and information I always love coming back to this episode
Ned should keep his sausage to himself
I’m not seeing any comments on this but I just love how Keith is yelling “dO YOU WANT THE PIE CUTTER” to Zach when he was freaking out over needing a knife, definitely a highlight of the episode for me
That part was hilarious!! 😂😂
Zach looking for a knife was so chaotic...my fav part
I rewatched it like five times 🤣
Rachel desperately trying to make the guys use the one tool that would solve most of their issues is such a mom move. 🤣🤣
Meanwhile Zach: "There's NO WAY that whatever that thing is is gonna make them stop bursting"
Like...the ONE TIME he actually SHOULD'VE used something randomly just to try it, and he chooses not to. 😂😂😂
It took Ned to screw up for me to follow these guys. Blessing in disguise I guess
I love that in the beginning, they were just trying to make edible food and now they just fully go off the rails immediately.
The thing is, no matter how experimental Eugene is, he’s really good with seasoning his food
So the food turns out great
Well maube aside from the ballz
It's the Asian genes
Asians are always good at seasoning. It runs in their blood
I loved how Zach was like "is a hotdog a sandwhich?" when Mythical Chef Josh was judging without a recipe this season too.
2 words: ANIMAL ABUSE
@@sebastianro2093 what
@@sebastianro2093 Huh?!?
this man has mentioned his wife in every single episode of this season and it’s annoying the crap out of me especially in this episode “our first date- near and dead to my heart” YOU CAN JUST TELL HOW MUCH THE FACT THAT HE WAS CHEATING WAS ON HIS MIND
love seeing ned argue and act like a little kid because we know that's what he really is
I’m ready for the most, shall we say, *suggestive* episode of without a recipe
suggestive…more like SAUSAGestive
Hi kermy
More than the balls?
Surprisingly, they didn't do too much with this one. There are some sprinkled in here and there but not nearly as many as you'd expect
Cermets do not like sausages. Is nasty boy but has limits
Eugene's face while hugging Ned and saying"Just because you are in a vulnerable moment" I can't
As vulnerable as he was with Alex
@@noahwashere6781 literally Ned gave me so much disappointment like how can you do this a grown as** man I am disgusted by him
I wonder how many episodes of Without A Recipe they film in a day... bc Eugene’s nails stay fabulous throughout the whole season so I’m thinking they must film consecutively right?
Yes! they said on the tripod this new six part season took a week to film and they would put in some 12-14 hour days!
man eugene is pretty cool; he can tell right away when something's not working and pivots in a way that shows he understands what he was doing wrong previously. that's hard af fr
