Me too. It looks to me like they cut on printing costs and didn’t make it the same yucky green as the original.

I think the difference in design is because the original Mr. Yuk sticker was copyrighted.

When I was a kid I definitely would have put these on dad's cigarette cartons or canned vegetables or the toilet seat.

That sticker was on the back of my family’s old green phone for some reason.

Maybe it had the telephone number for poison control on it like they did in the United States?

Well if you ate the phone that would definitely cause call waiting

@@eleanorhogan8643 Probably an attempt to stop kids playing with the telephone. ☎🚫💡

I remember the green Mr. Yuk stickers in the late 90s in my old house. I asked my mom what the green face meant and she said it was Mr. Yuk and that if I touch or eat stuff that has his sticker on it, Mr. Yuk would come to our house and make a yucky face at me and that it would be "very unpleasant."

Australians got something rather jovial, whereas we Americans got something more sinister.

This music was too happy and chipper. The 1975 Mr. Yuk ...now as a Kindergartner, seeing that commercial come on, especially during a thunderstorm was pretty intense.

I guess it was only used scarcely in most Australian medical centers/pharmacies

I know this is an improvement over the scary commercial, but I feel like having a catchy tune for kids about drain cleaner and gasoline usually backfires.
