- Happy Halloween! This video shows a large collection of TV news openings around the world in the year 1993. I tried to make this video short enough, even if 44 minutes is a lot, it's narrowly less than the 1993 station IDs video. But enjoy this whole world of motion graphics across the world.

Happy Halloween! It's been wonderful producing this, unlike doing so on a slow computer. Obviously this isn't the most perfect video, because there's around 270 news intros, a huge amount to handle.
I am optimistic to complete the tremendously big 90stvintros project, which I have already made plans for to complete. You can view all of it on archive.org: archive.org/details/90stvintros
For those of you interested in the 90s TV Show Intros Across the World project, the FANDOM wiki is here and it's still largely up for contributions. And of course, if you are 13 and up, you are free to join the project's Discord server:

review man once again returns:
0:41: the cgi in this aint that bad
2:21: this is kinda weird for a intro but wait till you see japan
5:06: this intro by far is like a mix of europeaen news intros and american ones in my opinion
5:35: THIS is why news intros shouldn't use 100% indegenous traditional music, atleast make something better like blending the 2 with what would be fitting for a news programme
6:00: only the kind-of OGs remember that this was iridium's outro theme
6:33-6:47: this is how news intros kinda look nowadays
8:40: the french and their obsession with having color blending moving text in the 90s
12:22: let me be real but spanish news intros in the 90s are actually by far like the french ones, the like style domined almost every station
14:29 i really love the simplicity of this intro, like it just has a small animation and shortly introduces the news.
15:17: Nea Shell Shellvkfkgft 🤯😱
18:04: i really love this badass tocatta and fugue rendition
18:26: really decent CGI at the moment
19:01: super smash bros melee sounding ahh
19:48-19:59: i need an explanation on how the colombians at the time did not even have news in their own name, not even i saw as many japanese news intros even do this.
20:05: venevision graphics in the 90s were the peak
21:25: *H.*
22:52: i just like to think that the creative team and the channel as a whole watched japanese news intros or just developed asian news intros after being introduced to it while editing for the news and just decided to be inspired on it
23:26: i love when news intros in the 90s have the most mysterious theme songs
27:17: european news intros being not so news-like moment
31:17: for some reason i always think that this intro radiates argentinian news intro in the 90s vibes
32:45: *THIS is why news intros shouldn't use 100% indegenous traditional music, atleast make something better like blending the 2 with what would be fitting for a news programme.* (part 2)
33:06: i know that this country doesn't have all resources to stuff but its funny to think that their CTV ident is all advanced and stuff but then the news intro is literally *This.*
33:16: i really love the music that was in this intro
36:10: good lord when those synthesized roland flutes hit in this intro. *man.*
39:39: the japanese and their obsession with epic fusion music for news intros
41:30: i love the theme song that was used in this intro
Conclusion: idk
That Nigerien intro went hard
That was superbly amazing.
so glad that you're finally back 🤯
19:16 What a bizarre intro from my country
NICE!!! Thank you!!
Really great! Sad that you didn't include Telemundo or Subrayado for the uruguayan part, but really good overall ❤
18:54 More intros of 24 Hours were discovered, one or another from the early 80s and 2 from 1973-1979 that unfortunately do not have sound.
idk if i said this before but i always check the iberian peninsula and latin america first in these videos, before looking at the other regions lol
very nice work once again
I tend to worry that people skip the United States because I often do add banger local intros like in the 1986 news one lol
I always check Panama and Norway first lol
@@TheIridiumic138 you're right that the us does have nice local graphics, i'll have to check those more then.. especially because i'm definitely more interested on those than on the main channels
@@vaporcranberries why norway? do you like the ids and etc of that country?
@@WNSQ-TV i just like the aesthetic of their logos tbh.
(in the tv station id during 1993 video, all I commented, was "nice" I'm so deeply sorry for that)
Hi! I was the guy that contributed to the Japan part, and I just wanted to say, I am grateful to have been able to do that! This video was quite a long wait!
Here is all of the intros i sent to Iri: czcams.com/video/Q7OQs6dW0MM/video.html
I always associate TF1s news intro with No. Entertainments top 10 lists and RTL-TVI’s is one of the catchiest news themes up there with the BBC’s. SBC News intro is reminiscent of the London Plus intro from 1986
Awesome!
Babe come theIridumic new video has dropped
0:38 Brian Williams! I remember seeing edits of him on the Jimmy Fallon show. Clips of Williams were put together to make him rap to music such as "Rapper's Delight" and "Gin and Juice". Like creating a YTP or something.
I like the compilation intro with the 24 Horas (RTP) theme 🔥
Always nice to see another video from this channel. I especially love these intros. BTW, what animation software do you use? Is it Blender? Just curious.
Yes, specifically Blender 2.79
28:31 The craziest graphics seen that year
Hey TheIridiumic, I have a question. What is your strategy on your content? I feel in contrast to people interested in TV and graphic design simultaneously, you take it in a more distinguished way--Great video BTW! It is astonishing to see these TV channels worldwide back then.
I have a couple strategies that I can list. The biggest priority of them all is to try and appeal to outsiders. Outsiders are those who are not interested in motion graphics or television, but view these kind of videos casually, whether it is for nostalgia reasons or not. By doing this, I make the video length shorter than what is expected. If a video of mine becomes an hour long, I don't feel satisfied with it. This isn't a new strategy, I have long adopted this way all the way back in 2019 but only revealed it a few weeks ago. I believe it has worked wonderfully. In my view, outsiders are the most important to appeal to, while picky people are the least important to appeal to. I can name you thousands of instances where people have worked hard on something and make it so impressive, only for their comments section to be flooded with corrections that are often not on purpose. Minor mistakes never outweigh how well done the video is, just like the content NEVER outweighs the person or capabilities. Praise does a lot more than people think, and it's much more likely happy and successful people will praise you. In other words, there are many unnecessary things that people are so caring about.
Another strategy I have is I often try and make the genre better and give it an actual name. I made a community post about the TCF destroyed compilation and how it succeeded as it was so different compared to how other users did it. However, this strategy is easy if you know what you're doing, like at least try and make it funny.
Third, show some character. Even having characterization when it comes to be a content maker makes you likeable, as long as it doesn't have any devastating effects (That's another factor to consider, when you do something, think of all the good and bad outcomes to it. Will the bad outcomes be as impactful as you think it would be? Plan how you would react if you can.) Because it's the internet, those who get a reality accepting of how the internet is, know how it works. Have a persona of your own, use certain words (tremendous) or phrases (a lot of people tell me) frequently.
@@TheIridiumic138 You are a big saint. I agree with all of this. Looking forward to your future, Iridium!
@@succession-is-a-great-show-andThank you! It means a lot
USA has the best news intros
No.
Can you do other programs like (news, entertainment, talk shows, etc.) from 1992?
The french part of Switzerland idents are underrated
5:35 The best one
28:27 What graphics system did they do it with? I don't think so with a computer because it's also very simple.
Station ids during 1995
Hey TheIridiumic138, I was actually dreaming about a station ids video 5 or 4 years after 1999.
1:04, SUNDAY MORNING
I have a question:
How did you make the effect used in the "80's news intros from every country" intro, with the letters "appearing" like they are being drawn?
1. Convert the letter to a curve (Alt+C)
2. uncheck U in Cyclic in Active Spline of the Curve settings tab
3. lower or raise the End or Start in the Bevel Factor
@@TheIridiumic138 Thanks!

16:39 NEWS INTRO WITH HORSE
Do? TV News during 2000?
during the 2 Millenniums
theres already tv news during 1999
The music that comes out in the minute 35:48, sounds very familiar to me.
19:42 Codetel was a telephone company, they were the sponsors, not producers
Fun Fact: Mario Lucio de Freitas also composed the theme song for the SBT syndicated broadcasts of El Chavo (know as "Chaves").
Hi Iri!
41:05 Old ESPN Sportscenter intro theme song from late 70s/early 80s!
Make Chinese IDs Compilation (including Taiwan, HK and Macau)
Why was the L-aħbarijiet intro cut like that?
A great time period .the intros all still lave that retro look that i love. but unlike in the 80s a lot of new tv channels got started around the world because of the end of communism .but even most non communist countries made it so there couldn't be more than 1 or 2 or 3 tv channels even while the technology was available for a long time.
communist countries have many interesting motion graphics anyway, both during and after their communist period
@@WNSQ-TV yea its hard to mess up the 80s look. but there are way more logos in the 90s and it seems like some countries just skipped the 80s and 70s looks. like the Albanian intro looked the same from the start of tv until .1991 and Bulgaria used the same one for like 20+ years Romania too.
but even in non communist countries this was a problem. like in my own home country we went from 2 channels in 1989 to like 10 in 1995 not counting pay tv. and it was a capitalist country in most other ways. at least my country did make sure to have a new logo almost every year in the 80s
@@belstar1128 iberian peninsula or non-nato europe?
@@WNSQ-TV You mean my country ? its Belgium so its in NATO but not Iberian peninsula. but i think Spain and Portugal had similar rules
@@belstar1128 yes, they only had 2 state-run channels until the 1990s. interesting to hear that belgium had the same situation back then though

25:09 always Italian version goes hard
16:54 Ah yes, the (?) Castle Home Vesti in all its glory ❤
17:38 No, this sound is so horrible xd
31:53 This flag choice is so random, i love that the flag of my country is shown first. Like, we have a lot in common with Niger.
Nigerian people had better aesthetics in the 90s than now, but it doesn't say much.
how I thought they chose the flags was straight from memory and what was easy to draw, but then they realize they couldn't forget America, which is why it's the most detailed
I always love it when America is shown first in foreign-made stuff, like the Dubai TV News intro or Apsara International News from Cambodia
40:34 Myanmar news sounds funny like it came from some old cartoon. I like it.
6:00 it is the best
Is no one gonna talk about Axel F in an Eritrean news intro?
33:11 I've noticed it. I'm also surprised nobody mentioned it either.
