I hope you guys are doing ok and i pray the little ones get better soon
Nate making us all feel increasingly like pros with each video!
😂
Haha, yes! We are here for encouragement 😂😅💯😎⚓️
I always blame "communication" issues when I have a mishap. Comms between my brain and thumbs sometimes lags. Love seeing the positive and negatives, everyone has both.
They go up down flying around ,loopedee loop an down to the ground 😮 thanks for the fun again!
Oh my goodness Nate 😮lol. 🛩️😲. Crash and destroyed. Extremely fast .
You win some and lose some lol. Thank you both so very much and God bless you and your family always 🙏👋. Have a great weekend everyone
So that button was the "Instant Crash" option!!!
Rofl
😂😂💯👍⚓️
Get that Kraton 8s EXB out again. Can't get enough of that beast.
Some tips...the cowl coming off the front is good to access motor but leaves the front weak. Reinforce the nose with some small balsa sticks n CA!. Before you snap the front off! As proved in your Vid Nate! Control rods for rudder n elevator flex badly....acces the servo hatch at rear and put some guides in for the rods. I put in some simple metal hoops jammed into the foam and carefully c/a'd in place helps reduce the flex. Had to increase throws on rudder n Elevator by moving holes! After that it flys okay but not a beginner plane - you gotta be quick on the sticka out off 6g mode... I like it though fun to fly you really gotta fly it due to it having "agile" flight characteristics...look at the wing smallish cut off at the ends...! Gentle flying and strong glide characteristics is not what this plane is about! I learnt to fly on a volantex sport cub 500 - it flys nothing like that! Make sure motor mount screws are tight one came out on my first flight....and balance prop, mine was badly off balance and may have been responsible for the loss of the motor mount screw. Do all that...and you should have a fun little STOL type agile plane to fly with enough power for loops.😊
That’s exactly what I did to my UMX turbo timber.
The old adage my first instructor told me to get the nerves out- "if you ain't crashing, you ain't flying" A part of the hobby my dude 🤙 Excited to see this little plane fixed
Cool airplane but tell Nate to stop drinking Grandpa's cough syrup his flying is crazy LOL
Don't know if you know about it or not but there's an RC airplane show every year in June at tom Sawyer park in Louisville Kentucky right off Westport road.. called wings for kids.. you only have to pay to park & all money raised goes to a children's hospital.. they have face painting.. bounce house for the kids and they drop candy by RC airplane.. definitely don't want to miss.
This is definitely going to eventually happen to everybody,, the great thing like Nate said It's very easy to fix... You could literally fix it at the field..
You got to show how durable it is quit apologizing!!
lol
You gotta think when you wrecked the planes, you see the aftermath and it’s a good review showing how good the plane is that can be fixed..😁
Keep up the good work!!
Hey, just because Brian Phillips uploads a crash video doesn't mean you have to do the same. What, do you get more "clicks" for a crash video? 😊
Who the hell is Brian Phillips
Another big RC airplane review. Just blew apart a $500 EC-1500.
@@MaverickAus In my opinion, like the Sailors, another outstanding RC Channel worth watching.
Brian is going to need about 10 sticks of hot glue and a whole box of toothpicks to fix that one! LOL
Phillips...goofball & amateur flyer...
Hello I think you should show repair video more often as I is very informative also flight set-up maybe !!!!!
Best to use Ca gel for glueing nose back imo.would not even be able to tell it was ever broken..i have crashed and repaired dozens of planes over the years
Crash is not so fun at that moment but after you glue the plane its amazing how this hobby can be fixed 👌👌👌👌
That's a wrap! @4:34
NEAT little plane!! Hope to see it again!! If I was a flyer I'd buy it!! Thanks Saylors for the really FUNny review!! 😂👍❤
Watching this video makes me feel uneasy.
Why?
XD. Exciting tho
Problem with rtf transmitter is like an on off switch. Picked up a spectrum dx6. So nice. It can dumb down the gimbles. Bind it to all planes and helis.
Nice little plane. I prefer lighter methods of fixing foam planes because when i tried to fix a foam plane with hot glue it ruined the c of g so i usually just use light super glue or foam replacer.
Sweet! Great price as well! 👍🏻
At first it seems a little tough to fly but on sale at $74 including shipping is hard to pass.
I did notice it says it has a 3v DSM port. Does this mean with a satellite receiver you can use Spektrum Transmitters? I wonder how well the flying would improve with a quality transmitter vs the cheap stock one.
I actually enjoyed watching this. Crashes happen unless you fly very conservative. Impressive that you show crashes and don’t try to hide them. A person who is just starting out might quit the hobby if they crash, but seeing an experienced person crash shows them it happens to everyone and just fix it and fly again.
Thank You! You absolutely got it, and nailed the reason we share moments like this. Couldn’t have said it better myself! 🙏❤️💯😎⚓️
Abby and Nate, y'all rock! Love the channel and content. Peace 🤘 💥 ✌️
Most ultra-micro RTF are horrible for beginner pilots. You need to have a certain size, weight and performance ability to be successful. Best beginner aircraft ever, #1 the the Hobbyzone AeroScout, #2 the Eflight T28 Trojan. #3 is the Hobbyzone Piper Super Cub. #3 could be #2 but it's a taildragger so it needs a little bit of experience to land and take off. All are realy good bets for a new pilot though.
Have fun
Nice plane can you bind it to a better transmitter
Love the Sweatshirt!
The prop didn't break, thats a plus.
The bright side! I like it! 👍💯😎⚓️
THAT IS SO FAST FOR 1S
I love your hoodie
Looks like the Sport Cub with lights. Nice how it unplugged and not rip the wires out from the plug. When I looked up the UMX Consendo, I asked if it would bind to an old Sport Cub transmitter but never gotten a reply - would that work.. you think? Thinking of getting one and would like to know..... thanks!
You would need a spektrum or 4-in1 transmitter
Well it didn't blow the speed control like the last Qidi airplane you guys test the flat foam Qidi 550 😂
Can you fly a sport cub s to show new flyers how nice it flys and glides. That brushless plane is nothing but trouble.
Always check CG.
Most, if not all of these chinese 500mm foamies are tail heavy. Verify and adjust before flight.
Basic free flight glide testing is a very good method.
Turn off flight stabilization turn on power, and just test glide it at zero throttle. Adjust CG until a satisfactory glide is achieved.
The plane will generally actually fly after that withiut relying on the gyro to keep the nose down as well as taming the vicious stall characteristics of a tail heavy aircraft.
This ain't tail heavy though.
@@user-if8tg1or7m
Bet you otherwise.
Mine was. And his acted like it while in a stalled condition.
@@nattybumpo7156 Saw an unboxing video, and I can see the CG is approx. 25% from the leading edge, which is normal for a plane. Perhaps the quality is a bit inconsistent.
Brian and Nate both crashed today! But Nate’s plane is in better shape than Brian’s was! 😁 Cool flight Nate! Also Abby 📸 👍
What made the loud noise?
This is your funniest video!
Stay away from hot glue, especially with these small lightweight foamies or any foamie. Get yourself some Bob Smiths Foam-Cure from any hobby shop or Beacon Foam Tac from Michaels. It will glue fast and have a strong permeant bond at the field. You put a little on both sides. Press it together then pull it apart letting it sit for 5 minutes then push the pieces back together. It will be an instant stick so make sure you line it up perfectly because it's not coming apart again. You won't even need toothpicks. it's that strong. It's also crystal clear you won't even see the repair. Keep it in your car for field repairs. Maybe get a sponsor from Bob Smiths. Coll little plane.
Be careful doing this - I plowed my new beautiful Micro Draco and tried to glue it together using 6000 glue, which is (I am pretty sure) just a glorified contact cement. The Micro Draco is made of EPS foam... EPS foam is "allergic" to contact cement. I really messed up my fuselage and had to send the plane back to Horizon Hobby for repairs.
what's going on with Pilot's Lincense?
I have never flown any plane before and I’d like to buy one as a first. I’m in between the P51d Volantex and this qidi560. What would you recommend? Thank you! Greetings from 🇨🇦!
ban.ggood.vip/13R72
100% This one!! I want you have a great first airplane experience and you just can’t go wrong with the P-51. Not saying you wouldn’t do well with the Maule, but odds are the P-51 will give you a very rock and roll, smooth experience. Happy Flying! 👍💯😎⚓️
Thanks Nate! Blessings! Fantastic channel! The passion you guys show for this hobby has gotten me into Rc planes! Thanks for the response!
The good news is that it seems companies are "trying" to make sub250g brushless planes.... if nate crashes once it usually means the plane is hard to fly if he crashes more than once the plane is just terrible 😁✌🏼
Hey Nate OOOOOOp's great video.
Hi Abby superb video.
Hey! I LOVE your content, I'm not expecting you to see this but I hope your family gets better
Thank you!! 🙏💯⚓️
I got mine last night but I haven't been able to fly it yet.
This is one nice plane for the price. Pretty stable and seem well build. Most plane will be in thousand piece with a crash like that. Any coupon code for this?
Hmmm that thing was all over the place looked like a white knuckler!
It really was a bit of a handful, yeah. I feel bad for it though after that crash! Had to repair it and will fly again! 👍💯😎⚓️
Nice bit of speed for the size of it. Blessings from the Rolex Drone channel and more in Ireland 🇮🇪 🙏 🙌 Eamon
I want to get a spektrum satellite receiver to plug into mine soon.
Sport cub brushed flys better. More stable
I’d definitely have to agree with that 👍💯😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors can see the problems. Nate is outstanding pilot. Most brushless are 2s. This would be out of control on 2s. Motors sure have gotten stronger. Remember brushed motors and nicads with esc punch limiters and 4 minute run times. Built my first rc 10 gold tub the same week futaba released the first esc. No more wiper arm for throttle control .
Those china stabilising systems often wont let you roll or loop. Very annoying in the long run.
sorry it crashed on you but it happens to ALL of us at some point thanks guys for the gr8 review as all ways
Hello rc saylor! I really love your channel and all but, i was gonna ask if you have any unneeded rc planes, like broken or non broken. I recently for a wl toys xk cub and after 6 flights its broken, i really love the hobby and want to get back in but dont have money. Thank you
I would love to see you guys go head to head again but with streamers I enjoyed the old video of you dogfighting. What 2 yrs ago
I crashed my carbon cub s2 and that was sad and it wasn't repairable
I’m sorry! What was the worst part of the crash? 💥 ✈️🔥😢⚓️
I was in Expert mode and tried to do a really high g trick and my battery fell out and hade no control and it snapped I'm half and snapped the wings and broke the motor
Is that a baby Maule?
Yes it is! 👍💯⚓️
Oops. I thought you needed to be a little higher. Not a bad quick fix to get the plane going again
Nice flying, except the crash part, otherwise it flew well. 🥴🥴. ⚓️⚓️👍💛🧡💚👍🥴👍⚓️⚓️.
Looks like a maul
its a mini maule
Yeah! Pretty cool honestly! Glad I got it repaired! 👍💯😎⚓️
Are you sure it wasn't in Kamikaze mode.
Hi there. Can I make a suggestion (request 😀) for a video please? Something to the effect of "make your first flights stress free"
I'm a naturally careful guy (50 year old engineer and never broken any of my 10 RC cars) but I'm just about to get into planes (almost certainly with a 800mm Draco, a 1.5m Crescendo, and an NX7e transmitter) and I'm thinking about my procedure for my first few flights (probably just use the glider for my first 10 or so flights to gently get the hang of things before then gently using the small Draco)
I want to do everything possible to minimise the stress of worrying about crashing, to feel like I'm making logical progression with each flight, and to ultimately stay safe and do everything in my power to not trash my planes.
I'm familiar with pre-flight checks of safe flying area, control surfaces, correct operation of AS3X and SAFE, so I'm thinking more about keeping the first handful of flights fully in safe mode, just doing very gentle circles and figure 8's, practising gentle glide in's for landings, getting used to controls being reversed coming towards you, etc. Then, being aware of not getting overconfident too soon, start taking it up higher and things to practice out of safe mode.
A video covering all of this sort of stuff could be really helpful to beginners 👍
RC plane = very hard to control. Crashing is common
Disregard the comment about being hard to control and will crash. Airplanes Should be easy to control. This one was, but not during its preprogrammed roll, which is why it crashed. People are only like 1% likely to crash if they never push themselves. Trouble is, I like to push myself, which eventually results in a crash. Anyways, great video idea:
I’d like to add that I love the two planes you’ve chosen to be some of your first, however they are pretty awful first choices for a couple of reasons.
1. Draco “UMX” does fly better than the larger one, and is super fun and looks great but I’ve heard the small bits fall off easily in rough landings. Plan on buying two if you really love it. One for looks and the other for flying! At least until you’ve proven yourself on the sticks a little.
2. Conscendo: I LOVE the Conscendo, both large and small but it’s not the easiest plane to land. At least not the large version. It can come in super hot, and if you’re new, that can be intimidating. Both of these planes are amazing 2nd or 3rd airplanes, or further down the pipeline but as a first I wouldn’t strongly recommend them. You CAN have a lot of success with these though, and will likely progress very quickly in the hobby if you do! SAFE will help a lot in your progression.
Anyways, feel free to ask questions if you’d like and I’ll do my very best to reply. I want to see you be successful in joining this part of the hobby! And please, my only favor I ask is that you use our links when you order your stuff. It really does help us out a lot. Thank you!
🙏💯⚓️
@TheRcSaylors ... thanks for taking the time to answer Nathan, and it's great to 'talk' as I'm such a big fan of you both, for both cars and planes (I still watch your boat videos but have no intention if getting into watercraft)
Yes, I did ignore that whimsical 'everything crashes' type response. Others thought I was silly getting a 6s, 1/8th, 60mph car as my first ever RC car and that I'd inevitably trash it, but I just kept my first drives nice and steady and learnt the behaviours of the car and everything went great.
I was considering getting an Apprentice STOL first (a trainer that you also clearly love) but was thinking (/hoping) I could save the money and carefully skip this stage. But based on what you have said (along with one other person I follow), I think it would be prudent to simply invest the £225 on this all important first step, and then I'll have a better foundation to still enjoy the original two planes I mentioned.
Thanks again dude.
How many Stanley nickels for one of those?
20 Schrute Bucks and it’s yours! 💯⚓️
what was the cause of the crash...pilot or plane?
The plane got stuck in a maneuver that I caused it to do. Press a button and it does a roll automatically! Once it starts though, you have no control until it finishes. It’s my fault for starting the maneuver too low but the planes fault for doing the roll so slowly and dropping more altitude than the first time I attempted it, lol. Mainly my fault, but that’s why it happened! 👍💯😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors thanks for sharing that explanation. !!!
OK...less coffee? 😂🤣
I've never been more "uptight" watching one of videos... 🤷♂️
If you agree regarding this video, and you watch "Cleetus McFarland" (Garrett Mitchell) you might have a similar feeling (especially when George flies his Carbon Cub). "Cleetus" has a rather "Berserker" attitude with maiden flights...
Hmmm...am guessing watching me fly elicits similar emotions in others?!
Not the relaxing RC Saylor video expected, but still fun...good (not quite great) job.
Abby, GREAT job...Nate owes you dinner, at the least.
NOT a time for lukewarm (Revelation 3:15,16)
Blessings...🙏❤️🔥🙏❄️🙏🕊️🙏 in Christ Jesus
Wow, 2 crashes in a week lol
Sometimes more! I know a guy that crashed three really nice planes at one event. It happens! Hope you have a nice weekend 👍💯😎⚓️
EXCUSE ME !! !! NOT A BAD CRASH _ LOL LOL
Too fast in brushless. You must get the plane for free
hiiiii
I was told when I got into this hobby. Crashing is part of the hobby. It happens
Can't do a roll under user control? No thanks.
I’m surprised by that limitation too! But it can with the auto button. Strange decision on their part. 💯⚓️
The crashes dont look like fun. Nate is a great flyer. This plane sucks.
This is a great plane
@@mracer8 do you have one. Nate had issues
Nate flys good actually...he just is extra reckless with his cheap planes..but crashes are great for reviews imo...shows how tough foam is.😊
not replying it's ok i'll miss you guys good luck to the both of you
You are upset that I haven’t replied? Brother, we have two very young children and have been fighting sicknesses with them both off and on all winter it seems. Life is super challenging right now, but I do my best to step away from my family for usually an hour or more every day to reply to people. I simply can’t physically reply to everyone, but I do my very best. I wish people could understand that, and it’s actually ME replying. A lot of channels hire someone to reply to comments, but not us! Anyways, thanks for hopefully understanding. 🙏💯⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors Your priorities are family first. You have over a half million followers and it is unrealistic to think you can instantly reply to every comment. Unboxing, setting up a helicopter, flying, filming, editing and uploading a video takes a lot of time.
@@TheRcSaylors i'm sorry inderstand my friend my buy i love having you guys as good friends once again i'm very sorry
i'm just alone here in thi nursing home it's hard sometimes but you two brighten my days
I'M sorry i upset you and others i'll stay quiet
Nate why would you pretend that is a good airplane
I really didn’t think I had suggested that, after the flight and crash. I’ve definitely flown worse, but have flown better too. In all fairness, you’re getting a LOT of airplane for the cost of admission on this one. But to each their own. I’m going to mess around with this plane a little more, and took the time to repair it! Worth it to me. And I think price plays the biggest factor with something like this to be fair. If it were $150 or more, steer clear. But at this price, to many it’ll still be a lot of fun! Happy Flying 👍💯😎⚓️
