For the ground take-off, hot glue some plastic strips to the bottom of the floats.... I use plastic from a gallon jug.

I honestly think foamies and umx are more fun than balsa wood and big airplanes. I've never had anything but foamies, but can't say I want anything else either.

These are fun to get out and install an E-Flite UMX system in. You have to cut out elevons install the brushless motors and you're good to go. I have two similar ones I modded like that. They fly awesomely with UMX systems. Anyone can do it. Just need foam tac or Bob Smith foam glue. and some Dubro micro hinges for the elevons. I used the UMX Ultrix receiver and brushless motors. You just have to reverse the motor wire to change it to a pusher configuration and enjoy a crazy delta.

Some of the funnest planes I have ever flown are 100-150 dollar home foam builds. Be it laminated foam 30in wings that will fly 150+ mph straight and level or 50 dollar 3d foamies. Do I enjoy my premium builds? Yup I sure do BUT I have a lot more fun with my cheap home builds that if I spike it and have a full loss I'm not out much.
no way i can afford most the planes you fly . So when you have a plane able to get by us that have to support families fist. praise the lord

My first was a $250 Cessna. It ended badly. I didn't bother again for several years. I ran into a guy at a park just cranking and banking a Wl toys 949. It was a Frankenstein it had been wrecked and craft glued back together and still flew. I learned that foamies were the place to be
😂😂mine did exactly the same bud. I prefer the other 1 it just handles better and enjoys wind more. This one is terrible in a bit of wind I couldn't get it to go forward haha loops are better tho 😂😂😂I dunked mine in the drink and it flipped upside down and I thought it was gone lol the prop turned into rudders and I sailed her home 😂😂😂😂😂👍🏼

Heck yeah . I was sipping around a drocon ninja earlier in the wind in 3rd speed . I wish mine had more range and more than 6 minutes flight time , well 12 with two batteries . Still for the $ it’s fun .
