I am a non religious person who practices daily meditation, I regularly use , the Gregorian chant, Ava Maria, as a tool for meditation, its is a appeal for mercy and a end of suffering, which is exactly why I meditate , when I use the chant mentioned, I normally achieve a good deep meditation ,I practice shaolin martial arts, which is unique in martial arts, because it is the only martial arts that is embedded in a Buddhist tradition,"chan" or " zen Buddhism, although I have practiced for many years I do not " identify" as a" Buddhist

Catholics do not worship Mary, but honour her as the mother of Jesus. Praying the rosary enables us to walk through the life of Jesus with her. The addition of the Luminous mysteries allows us to focus on the active ministry of Jesus, including his first miracle - changing the water into wine at the Wedding at Cana, prompted by Mary. It's quite a beautiful prayer.

Lighten your life with the prayer of the Rosary! Tim , pray, pray, pray, Mother Mary asked that this prayer be prayed for non-believers, (Fatima)and since 1981, (Medjugorje) visits with us all, bringing messages for each of the souls on earth to seek Jesus in Faith, Hope and Love. What a wonderful torrent of superstitious nonsense.
Just to let you know Professor, (maybe this is not your "Special Subject" ...) that virgins do not have babies.
That simply is not Nature´s way.
So let me help you out ...
Prayer, before being commandeered by the Christians, was simply the wordless but intense gratitude of a soul to the cosmos, a re-affirmation that all is One and all is sacred.
Meditation was best described by my grandfather, -- "Sometimes I sit and think, and sometimes I just sit."
Consciousness is fundamental, we are all part of it (call it "God" if you need to) and we need to learn to recognise it in each other.
Babbling about beseeching dead "virgins," when considered honestly and squarely, is little short of lunacy.
