- There really was a lack of Navi children in the movie to be honest. The squeal is supposed to rectify this thankfully.

Yep 6ft. to 10 ft. Navi is equivalent to humanitys 2 ft. to human 6 ft... Id imagine infants are like 4-5 ft.

@Ari Parker Wouldn't weaker gravity in real life make the na'vi weaker and more fragile than humans. since the director (I think) said the na'vi are around 5 times stronger than humans. but since humans come from a planet with stronger gravity that would mean realistically humans would be more tougher and stronger than na'vi (ik its just a movie lol)

I remember reading that the Na'vi 's clothing is more centered on showing the status of a Na'vi in the clan then having any real covering/protective function; so children and young clan members wear simple plain loincloth then as soon as they develop skill necessary for their clan they start to adorne themselves with more elaborated clothes and accessories... so I guess that the Na'vi children are having fun because they see an adult (and weird looking too) Na'vi dressed like a child!

@@n.sadequi4381 Only from a non-Na-vi's point of view. You can see that she wears many bracelets, necklaces, armbands, earrings, feathers and beads in her hair .... and do not forget the rider's mask that she puts on whenever she rides her Ikran. Also you can notice that the scabbard of her dagger is extremely decorated ... for the Na'vi culture these are all things that basically make her as she was "dressed" as a leading and respected figure.
You know that actually makes a lot of sense now that you mention it. Because when jake started out, he wore his loincloth and then a basic cloth ring thing that was just below one of his knees. But as he started learning more, became a hunter, got his ikran, and moved up until he became a member of the Omaticaya (prob spelt that wrong) he started wearing more elaborate accessories and even his loin cloth got fancier too. And then of course when he became an official member, he got that wrap thing that went around his stomach, but you could really see how high up he was and how much of a member he was when they showed him right before the main battle when all the clan members are pouring in. He’s decorated with all this stuff (other than the war paint and feathers), his hair is finally done correctly in the braids, and all of his original stuff, like the band he wore around his right forearm and the accessories, were all changed to something more “official”. And then lastly when he became oloectan (totally butchered that spelling- what Neytiris father was) he got the fancy neck piece that Neytiris father and Tsutey had before him. I definitely agree that as they move up in the clan, maybe not in position, but experience, their outfits get more elaborate to show that.
They are also laughing at his body parts that are different from the Natives
Wait so if they mate just by connecting those things they have at the end of their braids does that mean every time they had to connect with an animal they were technically mating?
If they released a version of this movie with every deleted scene, no one would complain.

Probably because not many people would watch it. It would only be for us fans. People are complaining about the 3h15 long sequel and it just blows my mind. I could've easily watched more.
i really do like this scene a lot. it show cases the childrens awe like wonder and playful curiosity surrounding jake. the pulling of his tale, the chasing and jake just taking it all in and laughing along with them. a beautiful moment.
I know right, wow love this scene, in the background we see and understand more the navi culture and living standards. Why delete this lil amazing part? :(

Na’vi children are so adorable, why did they not include this in the movie?
They unfortunately didn't include a lot of scenes that would help the movie further.
It probably slowed things down and didn't add much, also the "NPC" Na'vi (everyone but Neytiri+family and Tsu'tey) looked pretty awful in the first film.

They should have left that scene in it’s really cute also think the kids and teens are more trusting of Jake and are very curious about him
My sister was a journalist (now mom, retired) and she went to Africa. Familiar experiences.
The beauty of it was it broke through what we think modern society is, Race, Religion, Politics and Status.
She said the tribes were serious, but the children were allowed to be children. Loud, Uninhibited, Disruptive, Curious, playful.
I enjoy this movie and it shows, we can choose an adventure outside of this current life. It is dangerous, but every thing is. Don't let it stop you from exploring the world.
Avatar just needs to be a show at this point. There's so many deleted scenes that'd make it a million times better than it already is. I think they should do that at some point. It'd be hella expensive but it'd be 100% worth it. I'd pay top dollar for a show like that
Jim has expressed interest in making a 6 hour miniseries of Avatar 3 for Disney+ if he makes the base film 2 1/2 hours for the studio’s request.
Shame this was left out. Didnt really get to experience Na'vi children in a social setting like this, just more in the background. Its so short they should have just left it in.
Hometree actually feels like a town in this scene. most of the time it just feels like the Na'vi squat in the bushes randomly and don't have settlements.
I wish all the unfinished seems would be fully animated and that they look like it's apart of the movie, you know what I mean?
This is such a wholesome scene, I really wish they would have finished the rendering and put it in the film.

Actually very unlikely. Pandora is supposed to have substantially lower gravity than Earth, so humans should be considerably stronger with denser bone structure. Logically speaking, humans should have every advantage in hand to hand combat due to their density and strength. Nature doesn't equip species with more strength than is necessary for daily activities, under normal conditions. Weightlifting for extreme strength is not a normal condition, and people who stop getting a lot of exercise soon see that muscle mass start to disappear.
I wish they finished all the animations for an extended edition I’d definitely watch it 😂
I would pay a good money to see the movie with all this deleted scenes finished and included, it adds more life and depth to the film! I wouldn't mind the length.

James Cameron was reportedly “hours away” from getting the job of directing Jurassic Park instead of Spielberg.
He would’ve made it much darker, he says “like Aliens but with dinosaurs” instead of Xenomorphs.
He’s ultimately glad Spielberg got the job, and referred to Spielberg being more apt at family films and working with kids in his movies by saying “dinosaurs are for 7 yr olds”, but I wonder if he’s secretly jealous of him and shows it in this movie by using the raptor calling sound as a nod to the movie he almost made.
This scene showed the inner spiral better than the movie. In the movie Jake describes that inner spiral/ring and I never really understood what that meant before seeing this scene

A lot of these deleted scenes actually change aspects of the movie, but this one doesn’t so I don’t get why they deleted it
I’m curious what scenes change the movie to you? The only one I can think of was Jake getting scared by the bat attack when he first arrived. The final version was much simpler / better at foreshadowing the situation on Pandora without overdoing it.
