The detail in the driving video and the color differences with water really should what the differences are. Thanks for showing that extra difference between the two with specs and practical shots!

Great video, I brought the 75" QNED91 last year and its been amazing. I was on the fence between this and a C1 at the time, and with price being a factor the QNED represented such good value it was hard to pass up. I can say it's been a great choice and I've been very happy with it. In December I added an XBOX Series X and gaming on this screen with 120Hz, ALLM and AMD FreeSync has been pure joy. Highly recommended to anyone wanting a top tier LG screen packed with the latest features, with support for 120Hz VRR gaming but at a good price.

I don't watch much TV during the day except during lunch time when I'm working from home so I went with the OLED. The perfect blacks are just stunning. I found the high end mini LED 75" and OLED 77" TV's were priced very similar. So price isn't an issue anymore, it's just down to personal preference.

The detail and accuracy when showing the water and the road make the QNED seem even better. I already liked it more before seeing this because I went into BestBuy to see them in person and the QNED TV has better viewing angles without getting dark since in a living room, not everybody gets to sit directly in front of the TV and some are at more of an angle. Plus the QNED is $400 less for the same size and specs. (65")

I feel like while oled has infinite contrast and deepest of blacks, oleds have to be maxed out almost just to brighten the image especially in brighter rooms. I have an LG CX and I am having to push the brightness during the day, when a miniled doesnt have to be pushed super hard to achieve a satisfactory brightness level. If you can own both technologies, then that will give you the best of both worlds and you wont have to push your oled as hard, but also have access to infinite contrast.

It’s super bright, and I never have to worry about burn-in or dimming features since I’m using it as a PC monitor. Also, the antireflective treatment on this particular model is amazing. @BlondieSL Před rokem +3

The big problem with OLED, beside some of the obvious issues, is that just like the old CRT sets and Plasma screen,
*THEY CAN AND DO "BURN IN" EASILY.*
In fact, from reports I've seen, the OLEDS actually BURN IN easier than old CRTs and Plasmas.
And I KNOW how easily plasma TVs burn in.
Years ago, I was playing a game and fell asleep for 30 mins! The game was on a static screen with white secions.
When I woke up, I was in horror as the image was burned into the screen.
HOWEVER, thank the TechnoGawds, Panasonic has a special feature to "fix" this and it did an excellent job. But still, PHEW! Close on.
I've seen CRTs sets of old that had permanent burn in, mostly when people were doing house work and left the TV on the then "news" channels that had very static bright lines and text that never ever changed.
Some where so bad that the burn was so deep that it corrupted the image of normal TV shows.
Back then, I replace a lot of CRTs for people who wanted to get rid of that problem.
Of course, I laid out the reality that if I change the CRT, they MUST NOT leave the channel on anything that doesn't have action on it (no static images). I also made it clear that the WARRANTY ON THE NEW TUBE does NOT cover burn in.
-I'll have to assume for now that the OLED MAKERS have that same verbiage in their warranties.-
    *[EDITED HERE]*
Ok, I just had to check and sure enough, LG and Sony (at least) do have verbiage in their warranty information that:
*image retention and burn-in are not covered on their OLED TVs.*
So before going to buy an OLED, PLEASE BE VERY AWARE OF THIS! The burn in is PERMANENT and can't be removed!
So if you're a sports fan, THINK ABOUT IT WELL before jumping in. Many sports things have static stuff on the screen that doesn't change. THAT WILL BURN IN!

Freeze the video at 3:44. Notice that the OLED shows lighting on the round duct that is not show on the mini LED. Next, freeze at 3:59. Something isn't right here. The robot on the left side of the pictures is different colors. Also, the bottom of the screens, the OLED screen shows the blue light reflected of the ground and MINI LED shows red reflected from the ground.
Now check the background. the area above left robot has more detail in the OLED than the MINI LED. The MINI led is more washed out. But now look at the area above the robot in the middle. The details in the MINI LED look washed out, but then some details on the OLED look missing. In particular, look at the 'light mound', and the grill vent above the light mound.
Seems like there are trade offs. I wonder if the differences that I see are: The frames aren't exact. (color differences)? And maybe we are completely discounting the software rendering done by each tv.
Anyways, good comparison. I'm leaning MINI LED. I think OLED shows more details in most situations, but I'm leaning toward MINI LED because I want to use the tv as a monitor, and I fear image retention.

As a tech who started off as a TV Repairman, the one thing I'd HIGHLY suggest is that WHATEVER you buy,
get the EXTENDED WARRANTY! 4+ years where possible.
But MAKE SURE that the warranty is actually a good one. READ THE FINE PRINT!
The only warranties I trust right now are the Geek Squad Warranties from Best Buy.
I get those on anything electronic I buy and several times now, it's paid off.
One of those times was in fact an LG 3D TV. I got the 4-year warranty because I KNEW that LG is NOT the best and their "support" is sub-standard.
Sure enough, in just around 3.5 years, the backlit LEDS started to dim in certain spots!
And as expected, when Best Buy tried to work with LG to fix this 3D TV, LG REFUSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The made a FALSE CLAIM that the LEDs can't be changed. THAT WAS A BOLD-FACED LIE! Not only can they be replaced, but a brand new, LED "kit" (which has matched LEDs so you replace them all to retain even lighting) was just under $50!!!
So Best Buy replaced this LG with a Sony 4k. I won't go into details there... but let's just say, the new WARRANTY also paid off... TWICE!
I'm on the 4th Sony now as 2 were DEFECTIVE OUT OF BOX.
So whatever you buy, I highly suggest get a GOOD extended warranty! A warranty that doesn't create a hassle!
Good luck and may the farce be with you! LOL (not a typo.. I know what I wrote) LOL
