I loved this video and your rambling was perfect to see which mic sounded the best. I definitely want the Movo but then I also love how versatile the Deity is. Overall I think your voice sounded the best with the Andycine when you did the voiceover test. Sounded very rich and full!

I think the factor you’re not taking into account is low-frequency noise in outdoor environments, such as road noise. The Rode and Sennheiser mics are deliberately cutting the low end to improve vocal clarity in noisy outdoor situations. That’s not to say they’re “better” than the other mics; it depends on the situation and how you’re using them.

I was most interested in the vlog-style usage. Did you have the deadcat on on the Sennheiser? A bit unfair as the mics were recording at different times, but I was most interested in what rumble they pick up, ie the quality of the shockmount and the wind protection. The Deity coped quite well in that test, the Sennheiser had just a bit of that rumble, but probably it was without the furry thing on? The Rode was good, but it is mainly attributable to its fixed 100 Hz lowcut... The Andycine just did not cut it outdoors. Mayve because it comes with a foamy rather than a deadcat... In Europe we do not have the Movo, nor the Deity, still interesting though.

Great comparison, was using the Rode VideoMicro for a long time, recently got the Idolcam VlogStar because of the small size and nice audio. Should test that with the all the mics next time.

Very helpful. Thanks for the insight! I bought the Movo VXR10-PRO. I am a bit worried about what seems like excessive wobble in the Ryco mount. Has this caused a problem for anyone or is it just the bobblehead look. Maybe I'll just put a Hawaiian grass skirt on it and enjoy the show.

The Deity bidirectional is exactly what I was looking for. Most of my footage was ruined by my Rhode Videomicro hardly picking up anything when the camera wasn't facing me (which was like 80% of the footage.) picking it up, thanks

Sennheiser sounded clean to me to lol I liked it though. and The Diety is cool but too pricy for me, not trying to spend a arm and a leg. I think I maybe get the Movo or movo pro since it’s a decent price. I want to up my audio game !!

I didn't order the Movo because I see so many bad reviews on Amazon about the quality of the plastic. Most negatives reviews says that theirs broke.
Simply go with Sennheiser that company has been around along time. Never pick unknown new stuff. Just people trying to make buck, mind you that go's with anything and if it's important to you. Spend the extra cash to have something good. Hope I helped.
senheisser also makes high end mics so they know what they're doing but for someone who has a studio in their house. I actually found the sennheiser to not be worth the price and in most videos is out gunned by the deity, movo, and andycine but that's just my opinion with a background in audio engineering. Sennheiser makes great high end mics but shot gun mics they fall short. I own a u87, a copperhead cu29 and a sm7b so these don't compare but i can't take those with me or record my cringe tik tok videos witj them hahaha
