Great concept, but I can hear a lot of noise in the background and occasional cutouts. I hope rode makes their own version. But, again. the idea is pure genius for us content creators.

Great review Jeven, thank you ! And many thanks to the people at Deity for ANOTHER great product. It doesn't tilt the Earth upside down, but they always come with such clever ideas.
Which makes me think : what if all microphone manufacturers would include an external input in all their products ?
That would have many good sides to it :
    - less gear ( = less waste + less energy + less pollution + less [everything])
    - less weight to carry
    - less hassle when setting up for filming
    - less worries about forgetting stuff at home/office
    - less money spent (but similar benefits for them)
    - a tiny do-it-all microphone, perfect as a backup if everything fails (even usable on a handle for interviews)
    etc.

Great review. I was actually about to go buy it and saw it was only available in July off B&H. Bummer, it really did check all the boxes for me. Comparing even the front facing audio with stereo to the rode micro (which I use) it sounded better. The back microphone would be huge for my vlogging style, which is very observational. Many times I have to angle my face to hit the front halo of the Rode.

With FCP you don't have to duplicate the audio track. You can expand the audio and access and edit each channel independently without detaching and duplicating the audio. You can do this on a clip basis or turn on audio lanes for the whole timeline.

    Hi.
What would be great is if this mic could cross-reference both sound sources to give a noise reduction function. So, if your vlogging into the front mic, its recording both your voice and noise. At the same time the other mic is recording just noise. Therefore it's an algorithm away from using one sound source to cancel out the noise in the other.
Front mic is a bit hissy thou, doesn't like "S's"

Is there an easier way to make the mono files into stereo on fcp? I guess it's okay for a few clips but if you have like 100 200 clips in a video, it can be really time consuming to make both mono clips into 4 stereo clips.
