I guess I forgot to mention, the chair I got was from Madison Seating over on EBay. I think I paid 900 something for a New Aeron remastered size B. These things can be had for significantly below the MSRP asking price and even less if you’re willing to settle for an open box model. Just make sure it’s got the options you want since these chairs have been around for a while.

I love that the arm rest push back. I like to sit really close to my desk when I'm gaming and the arm rests on my chair don't have the adjustment necessary to sit as close as I like to without having to remove the padding of the arm rest.

No matter how hard i try, after a while i always start to lean forward when gaming (try hard syndrom i guess) and pretty much completely lose upper back support. Knowing that a chair like the aeron, with its forward tilt function, starts to make more and more sense to me personally.

I'm on a different chair nowdays, that being the Haworth Fern. While the Fern has a forward tilt function as well, i never used it once apart from initially testing it.
In the backrest's very upright position of the fern, which is what i use for gaming due to my "try hard syndrom" which i described in my initial post, i get very good back support already which leaves nothing more to be desired really.
I'm just overall super happy with the Fern after having it for a year and i had all the top chairs for testing here with me (Embody, Aeron, Gesture, Leap and so on an so forth) but the Fern was the chair i felt the most happy with overall.
I'm still super bummed that i bottomed out so quickly on the gesture (bearing in mind that i'm by no means a big and/or heavy person) because if that wouldn't have been the case, it would've been the Gesture for me. The Armrests and especially the headrest of that thing was just something else.

Another thing that the Aeron is better for use in humid Asian countries is the breathability of the mesh. If u live in a tropical humid country, the embody is just too hot and it stains easily if u perspire. The dead skin on our body can rub to the fabric leaving white stains if u are using a black embody...and a brighter colored fabric might have dark brownish stains.
The mesh on the aeron don't pick stains at all and will look good as new even after years of usage.

I have the Logitech Embody and it’s the cyan version and it’s really breathable. I would not trade this chair in for the Aeron unless someone gave it to me for free. The company I work for paid for the Logitech Embody. I got mine brand new on eBay for about $1100 shipped and it was authentic and shipped directly from HM. I live in Maryland so it’s not super hot but we do get hot but the material in the gaming version is a lot cooler than the regular Embody. for anyone who's interested in the Aeron.. I have 2 years with mine and for the first week or couple of weeks I was really upset that it was a terrible and not comfortable at all chair. BUT... in fact, it forced me to change my sitting behavior and was in fact correcting my posture.. after I started to properly sit thanks to the chair... It spoiled me.. it is the most comfortable chair I have and I see other chairs as inferior!
It is comfortable.. I don't feel pain in my lower back anymore... I can sit for 10 hours straight like nothing!... best purchase ever

  • @JackWutang

I agree with the points about the arm rests being better on the aeron and the ability to lean forward for productivity. However, I tried both chairs in person and I'm leaning towards buying the embody because I think the aeron chair isn't really a chair you could chill in after a day of work. For example, you can't really sit with your legs tucked on the aeron. Also, I tend to lean back and stretch my arms up quite frequently. This motion is so much more comfortable on the embody than it is on the aeron. Just my 2 cents.

Embody has ZERO lumbar support. The curve that sticks out on the Embody pokes at your pelvic/sacrum region, which is just below the lumbar curve on adults. That curve on the Embody's backrest will only support your lumbar curve if you are maybe 3.5 feet or 4 feet in height. NONE of HM's documentation and advertising/marketing text ever mentions that the Embody has lumbar support, because it has no lumbar support. The remastered Aeron with PostureFit has full adjustable lumbar support, which HM also notes in their manuals and advertising/marketing text. People always mistaken the Embody's curved backrest as lumbar support, but Embody never had any lumbar support.
