  • An ethnic armed group in Myanmar has been accused by state media of killing twenty-five construction workers in the east of the country. The KNDO is among many armed groups whose military campaigns have flared up after February's military coup. But who are the ethnic armed groups of Myanmar and why are they fighting again now?

      "The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for projects that support civil society to strengthen democracy and the protection of human rights in Thailand.
      Thailand’s return to elected government following the 2019 general election provided an opportunity for Thai citizens, including seven million first-time voters, to participate in the political process and seek further reforms to strengthen Thailand’s democratic institutions, the rule of law, and human rights. Differing views and reform priorities, in addition to a highly polarized political environment, have challenged the ability of Thai citizens, civil society, and political parties to define and form consensus on priority legislative and policy reforms. Moreover, an array of challenges restricting civic space and freedoms of expression, association, and peaceful assembly have limited the ability of civil society, the media, and grassroots communities and actors to effectively participate at a local and national level in the political process and engage with broader Thai society on priority reforms to strengthen democracy and human rights.
      These challenges highlight the need to promote inclusive, consensus-building processes to foster national dialogue in Thailand on such issues as government accountability and the protection of human rights, as well as the need to expand civic space and strengthen protections for emerging voices within civil society and the general Thai public to ensure broad-based participation in determining, defining, and negotiating legislative and policy reforms.
      DRL’s goal is to strengthen democracy and the protection of human rights in Thailand to foster a stronger, more stable Thailand and U.S.-Thai relationship.
      DRL seeks proposals to support civil-society led efforts to expand civic space and political participation and dialogue to promote democracy and the protection of human rights.
      Proposals should seek to achieve the following objectives:
      Promote inclusive, consensus-building processes to foster national dialogue on legislative, policy, and other reforms advancing democracy and human rights;
      Increase civic participation in the political process and opportunities to shape policy with political leaders to promote democratic institutions responsive and accountable to citizens; and
      Expand civic space and protections for civil society to effectively promote democratic reform and the protection of human rights.
      A competitive applicant will prioritize working with a variety of civic actors and fostering linkages between civil society advocates in Bangkok and peripheral areas of the country to achieve the above-mentioned objectives.
      Illustrative activities may include:
      Building civil society capacity on strategic planning, advocacy, facilitation and consensus-building dialogue to determine, define, and advance legislative, policy, and reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Supporting the development of effective and sustainable strategies for engaging with local communities and government to foster support for legal and policy reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Fostering coalition-building and collaboration among civil society, legal advocates, religious leaders, and other civic actors to build consensus and joint action to advance human rights and democratic reform;
      Improving civil society watchdog and oversight functions to advance accountable and transparent government, including through the use of data and technology to improve access to government information and enable more data-driven policy dialogue;
      Empowering civil society to utilize existing laws to advance human rights and transparent and accountable government;
      Strengthening the resilience and security of civil society and other civic actors promoting human rights and democratic reforms, including through targeted physical safety and digital security support; and
      Support for media organizations to advance more effective data-driven reporting and journalism to better inform reform dialogue and improve the quality of outcomes.
      A competitive applicant will demonstrate substantial understanding of the shifting opportunities and challenges to strengthen democratic institutions and human rights in Thailand, and demonstrate flexibility by discussing how proposed activities could adapt to changing political conditions. Projects should prioritize work with a variety of actors as part of any program activities and leadership opportunities, including religious and community leaders, emerging civic leaders, women, marginalized and underserved communities, media, political parties and members of parliament, and local authorities, as appropriate.
      DRL seeks a program approach that prioritizes opportunities for sub-grants and other methods of support to address needs identified by local beneficiaries.
      If already working in Thailand, applicants should address how their proposal application complements or expands upon existing work."

The Panlong Agreement mentioned in the video, although tentatively given some ethnic minorities the possibility of self-rule within the Burmese state, was also a product of the chaotic civil war between rival groups from when Japan invaded during WWII until late 1946-47. This is to say that the nationalist and centralising agenda was always alive and burning strong since the beginning of the foundation of an independent Burma.
    In many ways, Aung San Suu Kyi had inherited this form of nationalism from her father. This is not to say her belief in democracy and equal rights for all were not real. But the lingering question always had been: Democracy for whom? Equal rights for whom? The democratic opposition led by Aung San against the junta is not necessarily the friends of federal rights and full autonomy for any national group. This strain of Bamar centralism was I think obvious most recently with the Rohingyas. I think it is fair to say the military initiated the persecution, but it is not like the civilian government did much to prevent it from happening or even alleviate much of the suffering of the people.
    As such, the way the authors of this video had bent the national independence movement in Burma to this federalist historical arch is misleading and a pretty good account of how the past is bent towards a political disposition. I mean, all historical accounts are not devoid of personal interpretations and biases, but it does not mean that we should just accept any account of the past at face value.
    I think this is not to say that one should be wholly sceptical of the current opposition and their attempt at creating a new federal union against the junta. However, it certainly pays to be more reflective over where Burma was before independence and how close we are to that past at the present.

      Promote inclusive, consensus-building processes to foster national dialogue on legislative, policy, and other reforms advancing democracy and human rights;
      Building civil society capacity on strategic planning, advocacy, facilitation and consensus-building dialogue to determine, define, and advance legislative, policy, and reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Supporting the development of effective and sustainable strategies for engaging with local communities and government to foster support for legal and policy reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Fostering coalition-building and collaboration among civil society, legal advocates, religious leaders, and other civic actors to build consensus and joint action to advance human rights and democratic reform;
      Improving civil society watchdog and oversight functions to advance accountable and transparent government, including through the use of data and technology to improve access to government information and enable more data-driven policy dialogue;
      Empowering civil society to utilize existing laws to advance human rights and transparent and accountable government;

      Peace…
      I knew something was going to happen at the Thailand border since I received my notice before April 2021…
      I subscribed to the email of the US State Department for their variety of "programs" that they offer…
      Just recently there was one that provided funding for Thailand and in December 2020 there was another "program" for Burma just before this coup began…
      The US State Department offers these "Human Rights and Democracy Programs" as a CIA cover for operations in various countries to create chaos and mayhem as "Foreign Policy agendas" to usurp natural resources and influence political leaderships…
      This is an obvious agenda to disrupt the Chinese "Belt and Road Initiative"; an international macroeconomic strategy of the Chinese Government to increase the GDP of their country and others in Asia and Africa and through the original "Silk Road" of ancient times…

      This is how these programs begin and there is not much difference within the wording as well…
      What I have noticed is that when these programs are introduced there is always some "situation" that arises in those areas, which are suspicious of CIA activities of some kind of unrest in the regions where these "programs" are targeted…
      Also, I have noticed that after an Executive Administration leaves office; those programs are archived and/or deleted, for which, it's almost impossible to find again unless everything was captured through "screenshots"
      I will bring this Quote from the site…
      Link blocked by CZcams…
      Promote inclusive, consensus-building processes to foster national dialogue on legislative, policy, and other reforms advancing democracy and human rights;
      Building civil society capacity on strategic planning, advocacy, facilitation and consensus-building dialogue to determine, define, and advance legislative, policy, and reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Supporting the development of effective and sustainable strategies for engaging with local communities and government to foster support for legal and policy reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Fostering coalition-building and collaboration among civil society, legal advocates, religious leaders, and other civic actors to build consensus and joint action to advance human rights and democratic reform;
      Improving civil society watchdog and oversight functions to advance accountable and transparent government, including through the use of data and technology to improve access to government information and enable more data-driven policy dialogue;
      Empowering civil society to utilize existing laws to advance human rights and transparent and accountable government;

      Promote inclusive, consensus-building processes to foster national dialogue on legislative, policy, and other reforms advancing democracy and human rights;
      Building civil society capacity on strategic planning, advocacy, facilitation and consensus-building dialogue to determine, define, and advance legislative, policy, and reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Supporting the development of effective and sustainable strategies for engaging with local communities and government to foster support for legal and policy reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Fostering coalition-building and collaboration among civil society, legal advocates, religious leaders, and other civic actors to build consensus and joint action to advance human rights and democratic reform;
      Improving civil society watchdog and oversight functions to advance accountable and transparent government, including through the use of data and technology to improve access to government information and enable more data-driven policy dialogue;
      Empowering civil society to utilize existing laws to advance human rights and transparent and accountable government;

      Promote inclusive, consensus-building processes to foster national dialogue on legislative, policy, and other reforms advancing democracy and human rights;
      Building civil society capacity on strategic planning, advocacy, facilitation and consensus-building dialogue to determine, define, and advance legislative, policy, and reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Supporting the development of effective and sustainable strategies for engaging with local communities and government to foster support for legal and policy reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Fostering coalition-building and collaboration among civil society, legal advocates, religious leaders, and other civic actors to build consensus and joint action to advance human rights and democratic reform;
      Improving civil society watchdog and oversight functions to advance accountable and transparent government, including through the use of data and technology to improve access to government information and enable more data-driven policy dialogue;
      Empowering civil society to utilize existing laws to advance human rights and transparent and accountable government;

    They can fight each other as long as they want, BUT none of those military groups should use conscription for getting more soldiers. Conscription is unacceptable. Everyone has a right to be neutral in all wars, never use a firewapen, never go to military bases, never wear a uniform 🇺🇳

      Promote inclusive, consensus-building processes to foster national dialogue on legislative, policy, and other reforms advancing democracy and human rights;
      Building civil society capacity on strategic planning, advocacy, facilitation and consensus-building dialogue to determine, define, and advance legislative, policy, and reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Supporting the development of effective and sustainable strategies for engaging with local communities and government to foster support for legal and policy reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Fostering coalition-building and collaboration among civil society, legal advocates, religious leaders, and other civic actors to build consensus and joint action to advance human rights and democratic reform;
      Improving civil society watchdog and oversight functions to advance accountable and transparent government, including through the use of data and technology to improve access to government information and enable more data-driven policy dialogue;
      Empowering civil society to utilize existing laws to advance human rights and transparent and accountable government;
It has enriched its shareholders in Myanmar, who - according to the conglomerate's government filings - are all current or retired military officials. Between 1990 and 2011, some US$18 billion was paid out to them, according to an Amnesty International report in September 2020. Junta chief General Min Aung Hlaing, reportedly one of the main shareholders, would have received some US$250,000 in dividends from MEHL in 2011 alone."

They wouldn't have power without the Communist Party and some Russia military leaders financial and weapon supports to kill innocent civilians and ethnic people in Myanmar. The impetus of accountability for their War Crimes against Humanity and Genocide must come from the international community. There is sufficient information to warrant the investigation and prosecution of senior officials in the terrorist Tatmadaw's chain of command, so that a competent court such as ICJ or ICC can determine their liability for war crimes against humanity and genocide in relation to the situation in the Ethnic States and Central Myanmar. im from Myanmar. They didn't recruit people to join their army. They just give training (including food and ofc training costs). You can go back to cities or you can stay in their army or you can join the army formed by NUG which is yet to seen in combat. Most people will come back to their native land and form a local militia there. There is no single command not yet. They are mostly location based groups and getting stronger everyday because I think half the population will join the PDF. The problem is weapons are scare. So thats what Myanmar people doing basically funding to arm PDF. The ethnic military groups stay in their lands. They don't have responsibility to fight for all country. Just giving training is even very kind of them. I hope you see my point. Its not that complicated. Majority Burmese get training from minority militias and they will fight Burmese Army Tatmadaw. All group follows NUG guidelines but NUG does not command these newly formed PDF. Northern states are already in conflict where PDF fights with Burmese Army. And fighting in areas controlled by ethnic minority militias continues. Its just that Majority Burmese join their struggle.
    So many foreign people blame Burmese or Myanmar majority for rohingya genocide. So I'll clear this one also. Myanmar Army commit genocide and Aung San Suu Kyi defended for Myanmar Army. Many supported Aung San Suu Kyi but im not one of them. Yeah some burmese are racist, mostly against muslims. But most of them not. Most people supported Mrs.Suu Kyi just because they believed in her. I don't understand why she did that given the fact that she is a Noble peace. I don't like her since she came to power honestly. But Most people still do. Yeah its a black spot in Myanmar history. But keep in mind that most general public never defended for Myanmar Army. They just supported Mrs. Suu Kyi they have blind faith in her or has been propaganda by Suu Kyi lobbyists. I accept its a thing Burmese and Suu Kyi should'nt do it in the first place i.e defend the Myanmar Army in ICJ or ICC. But I do not accept Burmese get what they deserve. Honestly 80% of normal citizens didn't know what was happening exactly. Yeah they are ignorant I must admit but I can't expect more politics contribution/opinion from these people because they are simply too poor or so to be interested in politics.
    My English is not so good but I hope you guys find a clearer view from inside person.
    I accept we have make mistakes. But its Myanmar Army who did the genocide. Yeah some mfs are racist till today.
    We fail to prevent atrocities ( I blame Suu Kyi and NLD government for this. They are just too busy making peace with Myanmar Army and led people to the wrong way) - as I say most people are not politicaly well informed..
    Now there's a war unfolding but its easier to imagine. Its just Myanmar Army vs All people. Yeah that simple.
    And one more thing. Burmese Army is not communist. They are called fascists but they are more like criminal gang. They have no agenda. They just want to control power and money. But they use ultra Buddhist Burmese Nationalism to propaganda. Thats why we seen some racist mfs. Trust me I'm a muslin. I have faced systematic discrimination from government offices but Its getting better in Suu Kyi government. I have seen some racist people but most are humble and really have no interest in discrimination. They just simply don't care about anything except their daily struggle which is a obvious thing in a country like Burma. It has lived under shadow where people are jailed for having a radio or so. Thats why most people are politically ignorant except some students and activists.
    I just found out a comment saying about national-centralist in Majority Burmese. Its true. But not anymore. The coup has changed how majority Burmese perceive minority rebels trying for self determination. I can't predict future but I think at least we will go with federalism if not separate nations. That's yet to be seen. For me I don't really mind who getting what. Majority Burmese should give minority self-determination. But as I said its something we can't say for sure. But one thing for sure is we won't have this central majority Burmese government again. Most Burmese really care right now is just to get rid of Myanmar Army

      You also will learn that the American Government creates chaos and mayhem in the world to usurp the natural resources and influence political leaderships through human rights and democracy programs...

      Promote inclusive, consensus-building processes to foster national dialogue on legislative, policy, and other reforms advancing democracy and human rights;
      Building civil society capacity on strategic planning, advocacy, facilitation and consensus-building dialogue to determine, define, and advance legislative, policy, and reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Supporting the development of effective and sustainable strategies for engaging with local communities and government to foster support for legal and policy reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Fostering coalition-building and collaboration among civil society, legal advocates, religious leaders, and other civic actors to build consensus and joint action to advance human rights and democratic reform;
      Improving civil society watchdog and oversight functions to advance accountable and transparent government, including through the use of data and technology to improve access to government information and enable more data-driven policy dialogue;
      Empowering civil society to utilize existing laws to advance human rights and transparent and accountable government;

      It's obvious that the Pentagon, CIA, and US State Department work together and their Foreign Policy agendas are designed for world domination and suppression of any country that is an economical threat and/or any country that the American Government creates any macroeconomic interest...
      Yet, the US has power over the IMF (International Monetary Fund) and controls each country that borrows money (after this chaos and mayhem and unrest within their country incited by US, Britain, France, etc)...
      When it comes to aggressive methods of forcing the leadership of these countries in the world to borrow against their country's sovereignty to try and balance their micro-economical interests, which seem to never come into fruition; it's the US, Britain, and France that tend to be the most aggressive Governments more so than Chinese Government, since Chinese officials are more upfront and straightforward about it's Foreign Policies and international projects with other Governments in the world...

      Basically, these US State Department programs support what is happening today and are giving an excuse to impose sanctions and for a possible invasion, but invading Myanmar is not easy since the Chinese Government will most likely protect Myanmar's sovereignty because of its importance to the Belt and Road Initiative...
      This financial interest for the Chinese Government and Chinese-owned private entities; The Belt and Road Initiative project includes Myanmar in its planning and is necessary for its success between 2 points, which are land and sea...
      The American Government does not care about ethnicity issues or religious issues in other countries and will only make efforts to change situations when there are economic opportunities and use this method to crush its opponents in economical warfare...
      Join the US State Department to receive all the information; subscribe to Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor for U.S. Department of State...
      You also will learn that the American Government creates chaos and mayhem in the world to usurp the natural resources and influence political leaderships through human rights and democracy programs...
      Only a month after the Burma/Myanmar program was implemented there was unrest...
      There are many like this one...
      Yet, the entire information on the US State Department's site has been deleted and archived by ex-president Trump's Administration namely Pompeo...

      In December 2020 there was one of these programs for Burma/Myanmar or actually 2 (the other had different directives) and a month later there was this so-called coup, yet, there was foreign interference and the Myanmar military was able to learn within months about all that was committed…

      *My Own Commentary*,
      Basically, these US State Department programs support what is happening today and are giving an excuse to impose sanctions and for a possible invasion, but invading Myanmar is not easy since the Chinese Government will most likely protect Myanmar's sovereignty because of its importance to the Belt and Road Initiative...
      It's too obvious that these are all attacks on the Chinese Government Belt and Road Initiative...

      Promote inclusive, consensus-building processes to foster national dialogue on legislative, policy, and other reforms advancing democracy and human rights;
      Building civil society capacity on strategic planning, advocacy, facilitation and consensus-building dialogue to determine, define, and advance legislative, policy, and reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Supporting the development of effective and sustainable strategies for engaging with local communities and government to foster support for legal and policy reforms strengthening democracy and the protection of human rights;
      Fostering coalition-building and collaboration among civil society, legal advocates, religious leaders, and other civic actors to build consensus and joint action to advance human rights and democratic reform;
      Improving civil society watchdog and oversight functions to advance accountable and transparent government, including through the use of data and technology to improve access to government information and enable more data-driven policy dialogue;
      Empowering civil society to utilize existing laws to advance human rights and transparent and accountable government;
      The one on Burma/Myanmar was on December 7, 2020 and there were 2 "programs"...

      Peace...

      Peace be unto you...
      It is quite a logical assessment that the US and British Governments would take advantage of the situation in Burma/Myanmar and support "rebel" factions within the region to support their own Foreign Policy agendas...
      The Karen tribe is just a tool for the US and British Governments and like what happened in Syria and Libya or Somalia, etc; unfortunately this could be the fate for the Karen tribe and others who have been incited to fight against the current leadership of Myanmar...
      Yet, it is likely that the situation will turn out like Lebanon and Iraq with a revolving leadership and no stability, for which, will continue to exist like it has been since 1949, but the US and British Governments will intervene to continue to control the region in competition with Chinese Government...
      Go to the Internet search engine to find
      US State Department Statements of Interest Requests for Proposals and Notices of Funding Opportunity-DRL-FY20 Burma Democracy and Human Rights Program...
      And...
      US State Department
      Statements of Interest Requests for Proposals and Notices of Funding Opportunities-DRL Strengthening Democracy and Human Rights in Thailand...
      Once you see the dates of these programs just match them with the dates of the historical events, yet, going back to 1949 will not be easy to find any information, but there is a possibility to still find suspicious activity surrounding the region and American and British Governments' involvement in clandestine activities…
      To be continued...
