As another poster said, there are dozens of wars and battles currently going on around the world, big and small, within nations and between nations.
As exceptionally brutal as your war has been --- as was my father's, just a few hundred miles to the east of yours, in northern-eastern Laos, from the late 1950s to the early 70s (a war that killed or maimed most of my father's generation) ---- keep in mind that up to 10M of Ukrainians have been uprooted in their own country, when Trump's gentle and admired MOSCOW KGB friend invaded Ukraine with 250,000 well equipped mondern Russian soldiers, with their most high end fighter jets like Su-35s and nuclear capable bombers.
Russia said it has killed up to 500K Ukrainians NAZIS; the Ukrainians, in turn, said they have killed up to 500K invading Russian Communists, the VERY PEOPLE who are, with the Chinese, supporting the Burmese Junta.
And Ukraine has a 200+ mile borders with POLAND, which is a NATO country.
THAT should tell you you guys are NOT going to receive much help from the outside world. You are, unfortunately, on your own.... because even the US, the EU, and their military organization, NATO, are pretty helpless.... because they are dealing with a powerful, aggressive, and violent country like Russia that has ~50% of the TOTAL NUKES on earth, a country that keeps saying it would use those nukes, if it is put in harms way by NATO...
Again, China, North Korea, India, and Iran are THE BEST OF FRIENDS and ALLIES with Russia.
And China, Iran, India, North Korea, and Russia ARE FRIENDS AND ALLIES with your Junta government....
So, you guys are in for some very rough times.
But history is on your side. If you guys join forces with other ethnics and groups, slowly, with modern technologies including 3D printers, which allow you guys to print drones, with AI... you guys should win in the end.
And the REAL PROBLEM may only, then, begin, since different ethnics that have been persecuted by the Burmese military Junta for decades... they are NOT going to take part in any government, by the majority (like the PDF), that will return them (minority groups) back to second class citizens, as before....
Popular as Aung San Suu Kyi has been, she is old; she's also a British citizen, with a family in Britain, as she married the British ruling class. Her "credit" with the Burmese and with the International community also are running low.
Finding a real Burmese --- from the majority ethnic or from one of the smaller ones --- who has the stature, education, and eloquence that could work out a PLURALISTIC GOVERNANCE SYSTEM binding over 100 ethnic groups of 55M people.... may prove, again, to be YOUR MOST CHALLENGING PROBLEM, even after you've defeated the very tough & brutal Burmese Junta...
TO CIRCLE BACK to the beginning: ----- remember that both Ukrainians and Russians are SLAVIC PEOPLE, originated, both group say, from ancient Kyiv, Ukraine's capital. They have killed and/or wounded up to 500K of the other, in just a little over 2 years of fighting and killing....
Very MUCH MORE DIVERSE BURMESE will NOT have an easier time, again, even if you manage to defeat a brutal military junta, who has terrorized all the various ethnic Burmese for decades, by both persecuting them straight up as well as pitting one of them against the others, to keep them away from the busy/brutal military Junta rulers...

This video was very insightful though, it shows a wide range of perspectives and unique angles, all while portraying things in a very accurate manner. Thanks for the voice of concern everyone. We're staying as safe as we can manage!🙏
@@lucassaykitfoo TikTokers in the middle of this war? I can't say I've seen that. As for foreigners joining the rebels, it's certainly possible, but you would need to become fluent in Burmese, and possibly learn the basics of an ethnic minority language. Then of course you would need to go through weeks of all the same training and tests that everyone else has to do to join. However you could likely skip much of that, and likely your need to learn a new language or two to be able to communicate would not be so urgent if you are stationed at the base most of the time. So if you had a high-demand specialized skill like you know trauma medicine and first-aid from being an EMT, or you can assemble and program automated instructions for drones, you're a versatile mechanic who can fix bikes, generators, cars, and more, or you're a chemistry ace who can make an explosive from whatever is lying around the garage, or anything like that, you could easily join.
Second-thought: Or maybe there's a unique rare totally random skill you have that isn't typically a high demand skill for war, you could check and see, or think about it, and see if that can help off the battlefield. Maybe you can train dogs to find a certain scent in only a few days, that could be useful for detecting landmines or tracking an enemy or perhaps graphic design and web advertising skills could be put to use for fundraising purposes. Who knows what your skills could do? There are likely meant ways you can do work for the resistance completely remotely, or at least remotely most of the time.

this kind of war which is internal is underrated but very illustrative of how people's will and determination to truth, humanity, fairness, and justice are sustained and fought for. Given that there is not much sophistication in technology and armaments, their plight could be very much appreciated as regards the genuineness of their circumstances and creativity to learn and to fight in their context. This is not a war like in Gaza or Ukraine, where missiles, fighter planes, and heavy bombs are available at will by those in power and where highly equipped and trained troops were massively deployed. Here, each bullet and quality guns stood along the profound emotions of people to their elemental values in life.

I lived in Myanmar in 2015 during the elections. This time period changed my life and shaped my life since then. The Myanmar or Burmese people are some of the best most resilient incredible people in the world, with unparalleled spirits of freedom comradery and care despite some of the must grueling oppressive goverments and living situations. I right now have seen my young friends there give up their hopes and dreams of education work and so on in order to fight, in many cases with no choice as it was either be drafted to the junta army or join a local faction of the rebels.
I too hope in whatever way is possible, people are aware of this struggle and that victory comes quickly and with as little bloodshed as possible to my friends and family there fighting for freedom after 70 so years of extreme oppression. My prayers.

All internet is shut down, The west would likely paid attention to this as they are probably highly aware of what's going on over there.
The Myanmar people probably have to figure out how to request aid from the west for their military resistance like weapons, food, medicine and other essentials..
We are living in amazing times, democracy is being challenged before our very eyes as autocrats have shown their true colors.

The purpose of the military is to defend its citizens and a country’s territorial sovereignty. When it has become corrupted by power, and turned against its own people. Only death and destruction awaits the military, as the people will rise up against the regime. A country’s military size will always be a small percentage verses an entire country’s population, and when the civilian turn militant against its own military, civilians militias numerical supremacy will always win. Sure, It will be a slow grind for the civilian forces initially, but as the momentum steadily increase in pace, the attrition rate to the military will become unsustainable as they will not be able to replace their dwindling forces. And a military base irregardless how well defended cannot defend attacks from its own citizens, as the militant forces units can hide within the civilian population, and perform surprise attacks anytime.

#Since day one (Independence from UK) Burma was unable to put into a strong Constitution reflecting ‘Social Values’ listed as:
    1. ‘Social Values’ (Equality, Brotherhood Spirit) among multi ‘Ethnic Races’ are not addressed by Army Dictators since day one:
    2. Army Dictators (mostly “Burman” Race) behave like they are supreme towards multi ‘Ethnic Races’ living in the country:
    3. A strong Constitution (Social Contract between Citizens & Govt) to reflect these social values do not exist till to date 2024.
    # Due lack of such a strong Constitution, conflicts broke out between the Army & multi ‘Ethnic Races’
    # Now Army coup (Feb ’21) has caused a huge “Social Upheaval” which become too hard to fix back since it become a war between total population (all National Races) against the Army.
    # Citizens lost trust in the Army, thru reality, that its intention is to grip onto power anyway, anyhow no matter what.
    # With this Army’s mindset (using “force” as only option) and opposition forces who are determined to close Army’s chapter in Burma - that could end up in a Civil War; that is what happens NOW.
