This was written by John and Freddie. Such a great song, especially now that Freddie has gone, it means so much more. When you start to feel sad, change your point of view and celebrate life. Feel good that these four men, in this world of so many people, found each other and were able to come together and create something so amazing and to get the opportunity to have their passions become their reality. Each of these boys lived more in their lives, no matter how brief, than most of us will ever get to. Freddie wasn't afraid to die, never felt sorry for himself and wasn't sad about the fact that the end was near. He lived the life he wanted to live and he felt very blessed. The ones who remain behind have the hardest time but even they will learn how to go on living without their friend and still feel blessed for the life they shared and have been granted.

This song was co-written by Freddie and John. The 4 band mates were as close as brothers (and fought like brothers in the back seat of the station wagon on a family road trip)
In this video, as is often the case in their official videos, the crowd is made of members of the Official International Queen Fan Club.
Didn't the band also give the fans here a mini free concert? I've read that they usually (always?) did that when they had fans come for the making of these music videos.
Another one of my favourites. You just simply can't go wrong with any era of Queen. I also like the music video because the audio of the is crowd included where the version on the album doesn't. Just a little difference but something I always miss when normally listening to this song. ❤

Without a doubt, they are the kind of friends that seem to come along once in a century, let along a lifetime! Brian and Roger are still like brothers and they started calling Adam Lambert their "new brother" in 2019. Often, when Brian posts a photo on instagram of himself with someone, I love how he describes them as his buddies and pals, or even his brothers/sisters. I'm so glad your enjoying your Queen Journey! By the time your done going through all the album songs and live concert renditions, you'll have so many favorite songs your head will spin if it isn't already! God bless Queen!
I've got a double header for you. The song is 39. It's a sci-fi folk song 😮 written by Brian. It's about a group of space explorers who leave earth and the return in what is just a year in their life, but 100 years have passed on earth (remember Brian is an astrophysicist so he sticks lots of science into the song).
The 1st version is a live performance - "Queen 39 Hyde Park 1976" from the My Queen Collection YT channel
The 2nd Brian recorded about a month ago. It's "Brian May 39th song from Tenerife March 2022" from the BrianMayCom YT channel.
It's just Brian & his guitar on a mountain top on the island of Tenerife where he worked at an observatory when he was in school. He actually wrote a bunch of Queen songs while he was working there. The one he talks about most is Tie Your Mother Down.
The studio version is also good - Brian sings lead on the album, while Freddie sang lead in concert.
“Friends Will Be Friends” was written by both Freddie and John. According to Brian, Freddie wrote the lyrics.
This video was filmed at JVC Studios, Wembley with the band actually performing the song in front of fan club members. Freddie cut the mic at the end and sings along with them, letting them lead. This performance was nicknamed “Queen’s Greatest Show Never Performed”.

There are so many others but my hand is very sore from typing haha

Queen was grateful to her fans. In all the videos where there is an audience, they really were fans. Radio gaga, We are the champions, and this one is very special. They say that in Argentina this song became the hymn of friendship.
You must react to YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY, but the official version. It's a beautiful song and you can also appreciate the quality of Freddie's voice, who also does all the choirs. Not to be missed. I also recommend TEO TORRIATE, where they sing verses in Japanese, in honor of the Japanese public.

There are some awesome, fun outtake pics from the behind-the-scenes making of this video, of Fred sitting in the seat behind the film camera up above, that had been taking the downward footage. (Freddie the perfectionist was probably looking at the camera angles.)😁
Written by John for his wife whom he married in the early 70s and are still married today and still living in the same house. Roger was upset by the lyrics line, know to say " happy at home? We're a f*cking rock band!" John's first hit.
