IMO .. Brian’s guitar The Red Special, is weeping for Freddie!! And that one all important lyric is Freddie pretty much assuring his bandmates that they’ll be together .. forever!! It’s one of the most beautiful lyrics I’ve ever heard/read!! B E A U T I F U L 🌟💫
Bijou means Jewel in French. My grandmother who was born and educated in France had a favorite dog who she fondly referred to as Bijou. I also recall her using the same term for us when she was feeling that we were very special to her. Freddie wrote most of this song but Brian was also involved in the writing. Brian usually wrote his own guitar parts so perhaps he added more to it than he was credited with. Good to see you reacting to Queen again.
Brian May is considered a great guitarist, but he's STILL, even at that, underrated. The only other person I've ever seen make a guitar sing like this is Gary Moore, dearly departed, and one of the greatest blues guitarists the world has ever known. And he, too, is underrated.
