This is what you call innovation. An extremely tight slap on every major camera brands face. Also, the price of $7200 is absolutely mind blowing for what they are providing here.
That’s exactly what I was thinking all this for just 8,000 that’s nothing compared to other cameras that do this
I thought it would be at least 10,000, knowing DJI
Wallet sweating intensifies...
Yup
11.5k on B&H
@@charlesnetzler2262 and at base without all accessories.
@@charlesnetzler2262 6K version starts at $7200 which actually sounds pretty affordable for a pro setup.
@@mikereddy18Definitely, I cant wait to see more of the camera.
I love how on paper and prior to release, this probably would have been laughed at...But DJI executed a dream and once put into the hands of creators it put its money where its mouth's at... It took what was seemingly a large array of issues between many different brands/models and said, "here, we will listen and give it to you all right now. We don't care if this phases out other models, we are creating one in the process." This is the standard. This is why DJI is one of the more elite companies out there. It listens to the creator (whom usually have crazy demands,) and says, "Okay, you want crazy?! We got you." Thanks for continuously innovating DJI.
"It's basically like a chicken head" most accurate way Parker could have put it 🤣 Well done!
Shut up 😅🤣
@@PraveenVlogsPB LOL! If you've held a chicken ya just know!
@@powellfilmmaking we have four 🐔🐔🐔🐔 in our house 🏠😅😅
Scientists studied how chickens move to be able to create gimbals. it uses a gyroscope, same technique is used in hard drives
@@akjohn445 Would not be surprised LOL!
Amazing new innovation by DJI, once again disrupting the market like they did with the drones. This is obviously meant for professionals but they are going to be giving some competition to cameras like the RED.
Always nice to see companies thinking outside the box!
Damn Zhiyun was like, here’s a gimbal with a built in monitor. DJI said hold my beer
hahahha
Paying 8k for a b-cam. Most people watching this video probably have their main cam cost around 2k :-D
lmaoo
@@ElfTaleFilms thinking the same thing smh
I can't believe this device is actually here.
man, this was the MOST complete review of the Ronin 4D seen so far, big like!
hes was the best.
My bank account, computer and other camera: “You bought WHAT?!?”
🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol
This is the third review of this cam today. This one is the best. Which is why I signed up for all the lessons on FTFM. Thanks man!
For high budget live-streaming this camera is literally perfect. The built in wireless video is amazing, and it has hdmi/sdi outputs!
How Parker delivers jokes: Why did the kitchen cross the road?
Best Outro ever!!! What a product! DJI is really innovating here
DJI Ronin 4D is like an amazing robot. So smooth in every move. Incredible innovation from DJI
This is by far the best review for this product. Very honest comparing to all others i've been watching
Such an original concept. I can't wait to see what v.2 and v.3 of this will be. I'm glad someone finally said it though, because the lack of separation between the camera and gimbal is a deal breaker for me. If they fix that, and then upgrade the gimbal aspect to be able to hold cinema lenses then I would get this in a heartbeat. This is probably the future of cinema cameras.
This thing is absolutely insane! I'm sad I can't use it for my broadcast and TV work because of the lack of SDI inputs, Timecode and XLR Ports etc. but the innovation is genius! If this is what we have now, just imagine 5-10 years from now, it's gonna be nuts!!
There is a module that adds that I/O
@@noahyv yeah but it will cost $10,000 too and I'm not sure if that price tag is worth being able to use this camera when we can buy broadcast ready cameras for $6000 which have better dynamic range and colour science, plus we tend to use them handheld and on sticks more than gimbal movement anyway
@@RavenwolfPictures20 you rarely need a fully dedicated gimbal cam. best use the camera and lens that the production requires and just rent stabilization (steady cam) for the super niche stuff
A pocket size could exist 10 years from now. But like in that quality though. Compare the osmo pocket and those large video cameras from not even the 80s or 90s but the early 2000s when 1080p cameras were barely affordable.
@@walkersunited332 Damn that would be insane
Let’s say it’s a great beginning for a new hybrid gear.
It’s quite an innovation in such smallish package.
Dis is nuts, it's unique man, with all everything together.
So cool to see a company coming up with such a unique, innovative camera like this. I wish more companies were bold enough to actually try new things and fix problems that filmmakers deal with every day rather than just iterating the same old design over and over again. The limited lens support is unfortunate though and I think that will be a big factor in killing this system. Even if they have multiple lens mounts, the fact that you can only use tiny lenses on a cinema camera is going to turn a lot of people away. I think they needed to figure out a way of maybe detaching the gimbal portion and mounting the sensor directly to the body when you want a true handheld look and/or want to use bigger lenses. While the tech and design is impressive, it’s the usability issues that will make the camera too niche for people to risk buying IMO. Hopefully I’m wrong, though!
yeah youre wrong
Lock the gimbal and use any lens
the limited lens thing was deal dead! on an already niche product. But they are trying which is what we all need.
Sony and a few others have already created better image stabilization software that doesn't require mechanical components and are close to breaching the gap of mechanical gimbals.
@@vex123 Electronic image stabilization in a cinema camera? Your aiii is not a cimema camera, bro))
the thing thai i noticed the most is how good this camera can handle shadows and lights. Very impressive dynamic range
Thanks for jumping in and giving us the details. You defintiely a pro!
I would never ever use this but this is a technical marvel to say the least
Why not?
@@danieldesmond3422 my personal style is all handheld, sticks, rarely a glide cam. Natural and traditional. Gimbals are much too robotic. So a camera literally being a gimbal is against everything I've built my career around
@@830Video okay I get that, everyone has their own style and that's what makes you unique so I respect it. I personally love the sticks, dollys and Steadicam/gimbals, basically, anything that's really smooth, unless I'm going for something with a different feel, then handheld is also fun to shoot
@@830Video right on. It makes sense. Many times specific shots call for motivated camera movements. I’m curious though, you say you don’t use a gimbal but you mention that you use a steadi/glidecam which is in fact a gimbal. Are you just not interested in the look a motorized gimbal offers? I feel like it’s much too sterile/surgical, whereas the non motorized mechanical gimbals offer a much more organic stabilized shot.
What are your thoughts?
@@THelvenstine I wouldn't consider gludecams gimbals, as much as there a way to steady a moving shot. They offer imperfect movements and a swaying factor which is much more natural
THE BEST REVIEW ON THIS PRODUCT!!!!!! PERIOD!!!! NOW I understand how this will bring a lot of production value in my line of work!
wow, that's some new tech right there. Great to see DJI come up with something creative and innovative. Keen to see more reviews of this product.
I think this is a game changer. I think this will sell very well and might even have wait lists till 2022.
oh my god.
see, I'm a Chinese, and I'm not very good at English, but your videos, I can watch and understand what you say without help of subtitles.
good job. you're really good at speaking English.
your english is fine bro
You need more confidence, dude
Peter and matt are good, but your reviews of actual gear is so thorough, and very well made.
BROOOO!!! DO MORE OF THE BLOOPERS!!! ABSOLUTELY ENTERTAINING AND WORTH THE WHOLE WATCH :D
Thank you finally a video the talks about both pros and cons nice work 👍 very excited about the Ronin D4
Great video. Love all the info you packed into this. The 4D looks great.
Best review of the DJI 4D thank you!
What a great, comprehensive, thorough, well balanced and well paced review! Thank you very much!
Landon’s use case using the Onewheel makes it look like the perfect system for follow/chase shots.
You guys were the best possible team to review this. You clearly have the gimbal "touch" great footage guys!
Love the bloopers 😂 Makes me more confident on camera
7:18 the autofocus is breathtakingly good! Make my Fujifilm camera just like a toy.
Great job, Parker! Another awesome video and a super funny ending :)
Wow I think your sound quality is some of the best ive ever heard on youtube!
Great video man. Keep up the awesome work. 👌
Definitely a crazy product, the demonstration is nice and clear!
Buying DJI STOCK immediately
I love it ❤️, but also i would like it to see in budget varient as well, APS-C more compact low price ef mounts.👌
I like that you talked about image quality. Innovation is cool but I was wondering about IQ. Thanks.
It's interesting to see the 4th axis shock arm is powered with another brushless motor and ground sensor? I thought it was originally just a spring shock arm that you could lock off for static shots. I see this being useful for run and gun filming, weddings and mounting to a vehicle with a vibration isolator.
A great review as always. Thanks guys! 💪
Best review I’ve seen. Thank you.
Another review mentioned that e mount lens can be used in the system, you just need to set up weight balance every time before you use it.
To a lay and amateur videographer this is like the super-duper big brother of DJI’s tiny Pockets😲👍
You have the best reviews as always.

Beast review of this revolutionary stuff ❤️🔥
Fantastic video. Thank you so much for the info
Putting the kitchen and chicken aside, this is the best review. Love your informative videos.
I love the “leave the chicken in the kitchen” final 🤣 amazing video Parker!
I really love the last part!kitchen!
I can relate to that blooper section- so much.
Thanks for this honest balanced Review.
Great review thanks
This is amazing, trust DJI come out with something so innovative and applicable. I definitely cant afford this haha I dont think I'd be the right person to use this either but very interested to see where it goes and if they start to trickle down into gimbal dslr style cameras for more run and gun users.
I really like DJI innovation, great product.
really good break down. Thanks!
Woww.... That's a tempting gear.
Awesome review! 👍
perfect ending right there
17:00 such a seamless cut!
the quality of this video on a macbook is SOOOOO CRISPYYY, .........gahdamn parker
Amazing review / breakdown!! Other videos I've watched didn't go in detail. They were too excited and having fun instead actually going in detail. So thank you for actually breaking it down. With that said, it's not for me. The fact I can't use any of my cinema lenses that I've invested over $50k on, is a no no for me. Means I have to start buying new lenses for it. Yeah, not worth it to me. But it's a cool looking camera though. Again, thanks for the AMAZING review / breakdown. 👍🏾
im buying this 100% thanks alot!
im hyped i made the vid haha! That camera is awesome
Nice piece, honest review, like always, boom.
Exceptional review ... Fantastic footage, and really nice video as always Mr. Parker .. truly the best of the best I would say in terms of content. I thought a DJI camera would be equal to Sigma and their DSLR launch which didn't go as they hoped even thought it had an amazing tech behind it ... But these guys just did an amazing job at DJI. You hit the spot when you said they created a whole new target segment ... As a content creator I am super happy to see this approach and this seems like an excellent choice for a future me if I want to get deeper into pro videos ... Creativity at its best by DJI and thanks for your very well thought content as always. All the very best from Finland ... P.S: Did you end up leaving the KITCHEN ? 😂😂
It's really cool, I do still like the tactile feel I get from using a glidecam, but I understand this has different use cases
I just love it already ...
Very fair and informative review.
Thank you for actually using it on WORK!
That last part with the kitchen-chicken fiasco I was waiting for you to rage quit and destroy everything 😂😂😂😁😁😁
i dont mind about the 4D! but i'm so tag of your color grading! superb!
Uff! Weekend I’m done ✅
Really nice review Parker! Soo this is gonna be the new camera for the Inspire 3 (Zenmuse X9) sweet 👌🏽
great video, mate. You convinced me, I won’t but it (yet)😎
The blooper reel was gold
This is absolutely amazing
This is a great product... It fits the work of youtubers. I'll wait till the 4th generation comes out. This has potentials.
Really hope DJI enters the regular mirrorless FF and APS-C market as well. DJI is the new competitor Sony, Canon and Nikon needs and their software/user interface is already miles ahead
I don’t know if they’re a competitor as Sony and canon and Nikon are still massively in the photo market, but depending on the price of this, they could definitely start competing with them in the video department
with only 3 lenses they are nowhere near, but good product overall.
@@NikosPer just 3 years ago there was no RF mount lenses for canon full frame mirror less camera but now it’s kinda mainstream. It’s more about whether DJI want to commit and enters the market. But I don’t think they will because the market size is shrinking year by year
@@betterserenity its a specialized market, there is already the know-how and the technology to produce them but its a risk. Everything is still fragile..
their only competitor would be blackmagic i guess..
WOW this look Amazing
Been researching this camera for a while, I'm about to pull the trigger. I'm taking it as a sign that you tested it out at Lake Powell, I grew up in Page, AZ.
Amazing camera 😍 , great review and intro🤩
Talking is definitely harder once you hit record :) Thank you for the amazing video and overview!
This is sick! Great video
I’m already excited for the next generation
so good I love it
Thanks dude. This was an A+ summary
Merci bro, God bless you 💕
It has internal ND - that's all I wanted to hear... sounds great
that's it huh? jesus Patrick
Best review of them all! And I watched them all hahaha
Best review I've seen so far! By a MILE! Great job.
Knowing DJI, and their ability to listen to creators and buyers as to what they should improve, I'm thinking the double-tap M button feature to avoid having to hold down the M button would be a firmware update coming soon.
Pricing is reasonable... $7,199 and $11,499, 6K vs 4K. Not bad for this kind of overall capabilty-vs-quality!
agreed best review
That outro was so relatable, holy... 🐔😂!
Hoyo!
I can't wait to get my hands on it
