  • In this video tutorial I try to talk on increment, iteration & convergence. I also discussed why Abaqus general static step not converge for excessive large deformation/rotation & what is solution to get convergence.
    In Abaqus static step it need to define time ! but as we know static analysis dose not need time. Then why it need time? A little explanation on the same.
    Apart from many basics things i covered. Plz have a look, I'm sure you will get benefit of it.
    I suggest to have a look on video 02.1, 02.2, 02.3 before 02.4 in playlist (Abaqus Simulia).
    To know more plz check playlists.

    I like your lectures because u clearly describe each and every point with their write place of use and effects on the results. Once again Thanks

      Dear,
      I suggest you to go with all 4 video of sequence. Also go with Abaqus playlist videos.. many more conceptual videos you will find.

    is it really necessary to double check the dissipation energy taken under 5% of the total cause you simply set so back in step setting process

    • @simtech0598
      @simtech0598  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes we set stabilization at 5% only. But still in 1st case stabilization is based on damping only.
      There one can make mistake (set high damping) to converge solution.

    sir, I have created a beam and i dont know, what is the maximum load it can take, Is there any way to increase the load continuously without giving a fixed value, so that at some load the beam will fail and i will consider it as a maximum load it can take. Can you tell me the procedure

    • @simtech0598
      @simtech0598  Před 3 lety

      Dear,
      Variable load can be define by providing amplitude.

    • @sriharsha7092

      where we have to give sir, can you share a table related to amplitude

    • @simtech0598
      @simtech0598  Před 3 lety

      There is no fix criteria for amplitude that i can share. It can be anything as per requirement. In few videos i used variable load. Like in CEL water sloshing analysis, hysteresis loop video etc.

    But the damping factor may affect the real results, I want to know whether the affection is big

    • @simtech0598
      @simtech0598  Před 3 lety

      Dear,
      To make solution stable that is one of best way. Results may vary...that you can check in post-processing as viscous damping energy.

      @@simtech0598 I want to know how to measure the viscous damping energy , what the value of viscous damping energy is acceptable
