    Hmmmm,
    I would say - check dat and msg files first!
    Don't start to play with setting, until you check and fix warnings. There are keys there

    • @FemexIran
      @FemexIran  Před měsícem +1

      Hi.
      Most of the Abaqus warnings do not affect the solution and they are only for caution.
      Having or not having warnings do not guarantee your solution at all.
      There are much more powerful tools and indicators for finding the convergence issues like job diagnostics tool.
      Actually resolving convergence issues in a nonlinear FEA can be much more complex that you can imagine.
      We have two other free tutorials about how to interpret the warnings.
      here are the links to them:
      czcams.com/video/1THUIbs-dJw/video.html

      @FemexIran
      1. Max number of increments exceeded.
      2. Force/moment equilibrium is not achieved
      3. Excessive distortion of elements
      4. Excessive rotation in dof at the point
      And so on. From my point of view this is really not too bad idea to look in output files to check what is going on in simulation.
      I used to work w/o graphical interface, so both mentioned above files are key for problem solving and debugging.

    • @FemexIran
      @FemexIran  Před měsícem +1

      @@user-jw7ki8gv8r I have seen a lot of cases that the analysis was completed even with the mentioned warnings. Because of this I say that resolving them does not guarantee the completion or not completion of the analysis. This is because of the complexity of nonlinear FEA and I do not use the warnings as my main tool to resolve the error.

    I just start to build the model for a steel bridge in Abaqus. The bottom and top flange have variable thicknesses while the web thickness is constant all along the girder. I tried to create the parts with solid and shell shapes but still, the job can not run properly.
    Is there anyone who succeeded to build a steel girder bridge model?
    What do you recommend: create different parts (top and bottom flanges and web) separately and then connect them or create I shaped parts and attribute thickness to each part connect them using tie constraint?
