About this game:
Become a giant walking dice and battle to the end of an ever-changing dungeon! Can you escape the cruel whims of Lady Luck?
In this new fast-paced deckbuilding roguelike from Terry Cavanagh (Super Hexagon, VVVVVV), Chipzel, and Marlowe Dobbe, you'll fight monsters, find better loot, and level up your heroes as you work together to take down the Goddess of Fortune, Lady Luck herself. Balance your carefully planned strategies against the unknown of a dice roll. - Hry
Egg almost never putting 5's into polar star or using fury on it, was making me smh
that was an extra 4 damage in most cases
This man continuously using 4s in polar star while bump is available just to bump for 1 extra damage in broadsword or 1 tick of staff is killing me
Once he got blinded first turn it was fun to watch him guess what the value was, when singer made it the same. My man puts more brain power into that than some moves which actually require it
Last Stand getting cursed might be the funniest thing I’ve seen this game do
Egg: misplays
Game: I'm not feeling merciful today, precious egg.
“Quarter staff being upgraded is so worth” *proceeds to only use it like it isn’t upgraded rest of the run*
In reality upgraded quarter staff is not that good compared to getting an equipment to be able to use 6
7:52
Egg: "Two is not good enough."
Two: "Hold my beer."
Is it just me or has spiked shield REALLY worn out it’s welcome?
NL's strategy for bonus round is to pick the new rules and then suffer a minor stroke at each new floor to completely forget about the new rules
Nl forgot really fast that all dice have the same value on turn one, even blind one
Honestly, so did I. I was freaking out more about the consequences of Cactus and Kraken.
Then on that one turn he remembered it, and then promptly just ignored it.
reaalllly fast.... goddamn, what a freaking broken egghead
@@malcolmw121 He's there to be natural, how boring would it be if he sat there for 2x as long as a player would. He's just trying to keep it entertaining and imo he is.
That's a lot more people that don't watch the whole video than I expected
I don't understand why you like bumping blind dice so often. You've said it yourself, the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. You'll always use visible dice before the blind one, so bumping what you know you're going to use is better than bumping the backup that might not be used.
The really weird thing with bumping was when he had three 4s and bumped two of them to put into staff and then put his leftover 4 into his Broadword (when the right answer is put the two 4s into staff and double bump the remaining to a 6 to put into broadsword). I don't even speculate as to why he thought what he was doing was right.
@@fallouthirteen He's too used to playing thief/jester where more dice means more damage. He goes for quantity over quality every time
I was going to say the same, why does he choose to use the blinded one instead of the visible one so often? Oh right, cause he its nl
@@kylethescientist You would think that, but at 41:00 he has a 6 and a 3. Instead of bumping the 6 and rerolling the resulting 1, he just rerolls his 3.
With my way, you have the extra dice and you can put that in broadsword, no matter what the dice is. The 6 and 3 are used on staff.
What ended up happening, is that his 3 became a 1, he bumped his sixes after that and had three ones left. So he pretty much had the same value in his dice, despite being able to guarantee a higher roll.
And it's not like he valued quantity here, because his way didn't actually result in more dice (except for maybe that extra one, but he didn't intend that at all).
I think it's his gambling addiction.
"sneezy is the worst enemy in this entire game"
episode 5, floor 1, slime: am i a joke to you?
episode 5 floor 1 slime is worse
@@tracyh5751 Surely that's what he meant
On the boss fight using staff with freezing would save NL. He already did enough damage so the burn didn't matter but turning that six into one could have helped him get the win.
Yeti takes double damage from staff how does he not know this yet
Because then he would have to read and pay attention. That's asking too much.
Oh no, he's going to lose and blame the loss on not having spiked shield
I wonder why he was so against upgrading Katana on that run when it would have fixed the issue of 5s being so useless (which he frequently ended up rolling).
I was thinking the same damn thing. He missed out on so much dmg and wasted the upgrade on a situational item
The conflict between NL and sneezy may never end
Why am I invested in dicey dungeon more then tv shows
The misplays on the last couple enemies and the boss really made me sad because it was so close it felt like they really had an impact
Even if he had played optimally on turn 2 and Fury'd Broadsword for 10 damage he's still 2 damage off lethal with his rolls.
he did miss 4 damage turn one against the boss and the fight eneded with just 5 hp left if he missed something else he could have won
@@santiagofreytes3178 If he played optimally on turn one, he would have done the same rerolls, then be left with a 6, a 3, and three 2s. 3 gets bumped twice and put into polar star. 10 damage. He plays the 6 and the 2 in staff. 8 damage and 1 burn. He puts a 2 in broadsword for 5 damage. 10 + 8 + 5 = 23 damage and a burn.
The play he did was put a 3 in polar star for 6 damage, put a 6 in broadsword for 9 damage, and used the rest for staff, for 8 damage and a burn. 6 + 9 + 8 = 23 and a burn.
No matter how many times I calculate it, he actually got the exact same damage out of his play on turn one.
As for turn 2: Optimal play is to bump a 2 to a three, fury the broadsword for 10 damage. 6 and 4 go into staff for 3 damage and a burn. 10 + 3 = 13 damage and a burn.
NL's play: Bump into a 3 and fury it in staff. 6 damage and 2 burn. Rerolls another dice into a 2 and puts it in broadsword. 4 damage. 6 + 4 = 10 damage and two burn.
Since she used both burn, that puts the total damage for turn 2 at 15 for optimal play, and 14 for NL play. Missed one damage
Finally for turn 3:
Optimal play is to fury 5 into polar star for 20 damage, reroll the 1 into a 3 for broadsword, dealing 5 damage, and put everything else into staff, for 3 damage and a burn. 20 + 5 + 3 = 28 damage and a burn. Audrey again plays the burned dice, so that's a total of 30 damage.
Surprisingly, NL did the optimal play that turn. Unless I'm missing something, NL _actually_ only missed 1 damage that fight, and would have lost even if he played perfectly.
@@santiagofreytes3178 But if he didn't play badly against the Gargoyle he could have used Fury in turn one against the boss.
Nah, Audrey just destroys him with weakness and decent rolls. Got countered, nothing he could do but hope to luck out.
just take boomerang man
just do it once
upgrade it
and take your damn free win
HE WILL NEVER UPGRADE BOOMERANG
I honestly don't like upgrading boomerang, I like being able to use it to control when I get fury whether its only 1 or 2 away or maybe 6 away
You can't upgrade what you never pick up *taps forehead*
takes spiked shield over better version of spiked shield
Even and odd *turns* vs. even and odd *dice*, to be fair.
@@Eidenhoek Also It can do 6 damage or 6 shield vs 5 shield or 4 damage while un-upgraded
@@150booyadragon also it's a smaller slot equipment, and gets +2/+2 on upgrade. compared to spiked shield which just lets you put in 6s on upgrade
@@DjAirsurfer changes it to max 5 shield 6 attack vs 8 shield or 8 attack just without the freedom to choose which
NL: has two 4s and two 5s
Literally any rational person: i will put the 4s into Staff, and the 5s into the items that do more damage if you put higher dice into them
NL: 40:22
Something about Bump + Staff caused him to have a permanent galaxy brain
My man Dissing katana while never upgrading it, tilted me a bit
Katana is still not that good tho
I love the music in this game
This has become my favorite series of yours. Keep it up 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Hi Egg lord, I have watched you for a 1/3 of my life............ that’s nuts. Love you and your content mate. Keep it up.
that means that you've been watching NL since your birth for 8 hours everyday or you are like a 30 year boomer with an egg head after been 19
Cesar Luo no I haven’t watched 7 years worth of videos, I’ve just been watching his videos for 7 years and am 20.
You should call him egg daddy
Egg taking spiked shield over crescent moon blade, oof.
It's smaller, takes higher values, upgrade is really good. What else do you want egg.
He wants it to be able to shield every turn
“your first dice are the same” “you have a blinded die” NL on every first turn-“whatever this die is” Kms.
I desperately want NL to have someone on a call with him while he plays this. There's just tons of little mistakes that are adding up, and I don't think he'll recognize them.
I've thought the exact same thing. Like, he doesn't need someone to play the game for him, just someone to tell him when he's obviously missing things, or when he makes really bad misplays.
@@Zebo12345678 "the well why don't you"
"yea but why would I"
"because isn't that guy weak to fire"
"n..oh wait nevermind yes he is thank you"
lmao lemme just skip any defense so i can uhhhhh die
Anyone else notice that NL completely forgot about the singer role and saw his blind dice on turn one and was like “I don’t know what this is”
Despite all those misplays, the one thing that did that run in was the classic mistake of bringing too much big equipment vs. Audrey.
Meow at 13:41 was adorable
This episode was actually great to learn what to NOT do with Bump
I knew Last Stand would end up cursed. I fucking knew it. And I still laughed my ass off when it happened anyway
NL you had the "all dice rolls are the same" and blindness, so obviously you know the initial role of the blindness, but didn't catch on. Though freezing seems to counter the dice rolls all being the same which is strange (and not just by turning them into ones it just defeats the matching entirely)
The rock does work properly.
Last time the enemies had the re-use ability.
Though it might be available next turn if weakened and used.
I actual could watch another hundred episodes of this.
The misplays on the first turn on the gargoile fight actually made me punch my wardrobe by accident. NL please use the egg
that smile on his face when he got staff to work because the 2 extra 1's he created with bump, if only he realized that bumping a 2 to a 3 and then to a 4 would have given the same result
The biggest misplay was not taking the Drake curse. 20% HP is nothing compared to having blinded HP in a run where you take damage for overkilling.
Honestly threw, never used polar like he should have bumping a blind dice and then throwing it into staff instead of killing
It was really weird to watch. Like I know he plays too fast and just doesn't look at things, but I don't think I've ever seen him so hyper focused on one singular thing (the staff) that he goes out of his way to misplay it (putting more count into it than the remaining counter on it).
He didn't throw. He entered the boss with full health, so nothing that happened before then mattered. It all boils down to the boss, and he only actually missed one damage. His plays weren't great, but I did the math using optimal plays. Even with perfect plays, he lost that boss fight. Her rolls were better than his.
Tired egg can't win but still can make an enjoyable video
*No matter what we do, we want to bump this*
Oof that last fight
"I'll just upgrade this 6 to make ones so staff is easier to use"
wat?
I did the math, and getting staff to work using that tactic actually gave him 4 more damage than if he used max polar star. Actually, 6 more damage because of +2 to burn.
I was trying to think through that myself. I mean yeah it wasn't a bad move, but the logic behind it was awful (he didn't have to get ones, he could have bumped something else which would have been more versatile and come up the same in the end). It wasn't a bad play exactly, but knowing NL, him seeing it work there will make him think it's the best play in every situation.
@@fallouthirteen Gotta give it to NL on this one, that was actually the right play
*For the final boss*
If he played optimally on turn one, he would have done the same rerolls, then be left with a 6, a 3, and three 2s. 3 gets bumped twice and put into polar star. 10 damage. Surprisingly, NL did the optimal play that turn. Unless I'm missing something, NL actually only missed 1 damage that fight, and would have lost even if he played perfectly.
His misplay was not using Gemstone Staff
The star misplays hurt so much.
Cruised.. all die the same first turn
First turn- blank 4 4 4
"Well! Whatever it is, we wanna bump it"
Looks confused when it bumps into a 5 🤣🤣
Where are you northern 🤣🤣
13:10 Tomo Time
OK WHAT THE HECK! How is Tomo so adorable! Himalayan right?
Heartbreaking end
I was so scared he would die fighting the gargoyle because he went stupid mode and didnt just fury his staff
Please Tomo, save us
43:43 I don't understand how you had trouble with what dice to put where.
Nothing really to comment on here, Episode 6 isn’t bad.
Did the egg forget his first turn all his dice are the same so the blind dice would be the same
Unfortunate... that final fight was unwinnable even if NL did max damage with his equipment every round. He could've only squeezed out 1 extra damage that I can see.
Omg those missplays at the boss :(
dude, where is the cat cam?
yathered - NL 2019
Why didn't he use last stand early if he had low health
Didn't think he would die early, which is ironic

I see cat. I hit the like button.
Tommo is a siberian cat right? I also have one female siberian cat, they're purrrrrfect
So many mistakes such as not using fire against an enemy weak to fire
What a good video game. Very well rounded.
Lol bump blind dice every time ok sure egg

Why wouldnt you want six shooter? You could bump it and it could work 3 times..
I knew you could do it :)

haha thanks for watching haha
lol
NL HAving more dice its not always good... SPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE 1s!
With the rogue, sure. But the Warrior needs high dice
Right on time
I would have been so upset if NL won this. He played terribly for these two runs: not realising that the blind dice was exactly the same as the others for most of the second run, not using polar star as often... it was awful
He lost all because of his extremely poor play but is going to blame it on his equipment, meaning it'll b even more likely he'll continue to only use the same 4-5 same pieces of equipment every run because he's so afraid of losing that he never takes anything new. This is why I looked forward to the Inventor, it forced him to actually use equipment he would otherwise never even consider. And please, stop suggesting the game is unenjoyable every time you lose. I get it, losing sucks sometimes and worse yet you're a CZcamsr so you're always partially distracted with comment, but if you stopped and put even a little thought into your decisions you'd be far more likely to win even in difficult situations and thus gain more enjoyment out of it. (e.g. The Isaac's heart and IV bag Eden run from the other day.)
Deserved.
Watching this is becoming incredibly frustrating...
You did so many mistakes in the Audrey fight.
Nl plz stop bumping the blind
Rekt
Upgrading quarterstaff was so dumb
You're like a politician- just go with whatever you want to be right despite the evidence to the contrary being there for you to see if you were only looking for it.
Here's a tip- start with comparing every action to a 1 to 1 damage scale. Decide on your equipment and actions with how much you can skew that ratio in your favor. Like 2x damage is always the first place to look! Upgraded broadsword only gets you there on a 3 or worse! Staff never will.
This isn't the only consideration but it's a better place to start than what you're doing, which is playing "validating boomers," where you play like a stereotypical millenial, blaming all your problems on your environment instead of your agency within it.
WHY won't he use staff with freezing instead of normal staff???
egg gonna egg
22.51 tho
"I need a dice between 2 and 6 for Staff (has a 5) and a dice between 2 and 4 for Katana (has a 2)"
USES THE 2 ON STAFF THEN REROLLS TO GET ANOTHER 2
???????????
Spiked shield is shit, it's even worse than inventor
Some of your plays the second round made me want to stop watching man...

*Bump a 4*
*Use a 4 in polar star* WHY
this guys iq has to be below 90 right?
First? Cool
Poison doesn’t go through shields anymore
Most deserved loss in the history of this series. NL, I'm begging you, just stop for a moment and think, do the math, whatever, just take a second to think. If you are concerned with the entertainment value of episode, I can assure you that it is MUCH more entertaining to watch you sitting in silence than it is biting my desk because of cringe. That said, I love this serie.
