I hope on ep 6 with thief he will actually try crowbar and will turn into a bear.
Upd: after his words about boomerang I guess that won't happen
NL: Upgrades shovel so that it can be activated with all evens.
NL: Still proceeds to put 6's in it rather than shock to make sure he gets weaken.
Uses fury on a 6 when he has two 6, two damage dealing equipment and a 12 hp enemy gg egg
I feel like NL would just drop the game without beating all episodes when he end up in situation with only 3 eps for inventor left
Inventor 5 and 6 have potential for massive plays though, there's some equipment exclusive to those episodes that make for fun and easy games.
(There's one gadget in particular that lets you swap equipment with the enemy which is super powerful if you leave it for late game. Ie if you come into a boss fight with no damaging equipped, they can't hurt you and you kill em with their own equipment. It's the most BM play in the entire game and singlehandedly propels the inventor as my favourite character to play as.)
If anything, I'm putting my money on Witch 4 and 6.
oh i fully expect him to quit the game once hes played the characters he likes and did all their stories.
I quit the game over the prospect of needing to play the inventor more than once to finish the game tbh so I wouldn't blame him.
Add witch and I'll take that bet
Hi Ho Wolverhampton Interesting, maybe I’ll give The Inventor another shot then. Haven’t played him since beating his episode 2, but those later episodes seem promising now.
That fury play at the end was really something

@@americantoastman7296 It's a bug with weaken and re-equip. Code probably goes something like... Bird used Rock while re-equip is active > Bird is allowed to use Rock one more time. Then Bird uses Rock-. And the code is like: BiRd iS AlLoWeD tO uSe rOcK oNe MoRe TiMe
Classic NL, calling the worst status effect in the game is not that bad
It seems the easier the episode is, the worse you play, but the harder the episode the better you play. You upgraded your shovel to weak on evens then never used your 6's for shock and remaining evens for weak.
18:48 Shovel only needs evens. If he played the dice in different spots, he would've done the same exact damage and applied 2 status effects instead of one.
I think every time he upgrades shovel, immediately after commenting on how it's easier to use, he wont use it.
Weakness and shock usually doesn't stack. In a weird turn of events, shovel+ was less relevant than sword+.
@@UM96lol It doesn't matter what was more relevant. Even if there was a chance that they wouldn't stack, it was FREE.

@@UM96lol Making an enemy spend 2 dice on 1 equipment is hardly pointless. It would've saved his life.
the nail bat seems really good it charges your ability faster and it outputs really high dps to make up for it since it could reduce the amount of turns by quite a few.
Boomerang upgraded even without protection is OP as balls

@@Kryptnyt It's okay if you have healing or shield otherwise it's fairly dangerous but not unusable
Boomerang is singlehandedly one of the strongest items in the game, purely because you can skip a level up and use it like Ruff Ruff Ruff - with Fury, you do 24 damage and it more or less maintains Fury, because it charges up your limit break!

Spiked bat is so goooood, you even had the chance to upgrade it and you didn't even look :(
Of course he'll never try Boomerang or Nail Bat. He can't imagine the value of taking a bit of damage to end a fight a turn or 2 sooner, and prevent all that the enemies do in those turns.

Godlyvex5 I guess because it's weakened at 13:22 it doesn't count as used and it shows up again at 13:56. That seems like a bug.
@@godlyvex5543Except on the next turn it's weakened which then means it reappears on the following turn. The first time it reappears is because of re-equip, the second time is because of a bug with weaken.

@@godlyvex5543 he used it 3 times that battle re equip isnt a permanent effect first rock use got rid of re equip second rock use shouldve counted as the once per battle but probably due to it being weakened it bugged it most likely rock and rock - counted as 2 different pieces of equipment. So when he used rock - he still had regular rock (at least thats how i think the game interrepretted that situation)
@@MopedOfJustice i was replying to his reply to blarghhkip not to his original comment stating it was saying it was indeed a bug due to weaken (at least i believe the trigger to the bug as nentioned) that he got to use it 3 times since its should only be usable twice if used first.
I love that this is episode 39, he has never taken boomerang and proudly proclaims his ignorance :D
He has taken Boomerang before there's just a brain stigma on self damage which I also have myself
27:40 Galaxy brain turn. Instead of doubling up on known 8 damage, doubles up on attack he isn't sure will work, and instead doubles up on dice -1 lost 1hp.

Literally everyone who has ever played DD: scathach is too common for such a run-endingly difficult rule

the Rock is once per battle, but the Re-Equip rule lets them use it twice if it's the first equipment they use each combat.

Well the first part was right
It’s interesting seeing this ruleset, where you get random conditions every floor, this feels like the iteration of Dicey Dungeons you could keep playing for a ton more episodes in the series if you wanted. Didn’t feel like that was at all possible playing through the episodes up through now
Episode 6(and kinda 5) are meant to be the replayed ones if any. Tbh though most of the curses don't affect that much, and some help you. Would be better with no choice imo

I'm still waiting for the day egg stops overrating spiked shield. He doesn't even use it much, and hasn't even used it much for the damage side at all.
also... use boomerang, upgraded 12 damage for 3 hp is a 9 damage benefit. Dicey is a damage arms race.

NL, I believe the enemy always goes first if they don't have a natural innitiate ability.

I'm not trying to be that guy, but the rock triggered the 're-equipt next'. That's what it said it would do, is the thing.
EDIT: Though, to be fair, I think the bird getting it a third time is a bug with weakness... or something.
To be even MORE fair, there was NO WAY you could have known about the curse at every turn option :( Bad luck.
But to be even EVEN more fair, he did say that he didn't think it was that bad so he may have chosen that option anyway.
His whole plan for curse is "I can reroll 3 times to break it". He literally doesn't understand that the reroll won't ever trigger curse
The reroll is not equipment so it can’t purge curse

I can't really blame NL for confusion about how things work and interact in this game. The game itself is fun, but the abject lack of clarity on what things do is a completely valid criticism of it.
